ECOSOLUTIONS- SUSTAINABLE FARMING IN MUDZI DISTRICT

Mudzi district, located in Mashonaland East province, is one of the districts in the country vulnerable to the El Nino phenomenon that has altered the weather or the larger problem of climate change thats affecting Zimbabwe and most other African countries. However, amidst the drought and climate change challenges some farmers have shown commitment to sustainable agriculture by embracing aqua-culture , horticulture, and biogas production, transforming their lives and their community. For generations, communities in Mudzi have relied on agriculture for their sustenance. However due to erratic rainfall patterns and climate change, a new opportunity has emerged, bringing hope and prosperity in the form of fish farming.
