- What a fun vintage Barbie!! Her hair looks wild, but maybe I’ll do it in a UA-cam short!:) what do you all think of this Barbie? I personally love Barbie from this era right now. And the more obscure ones are just so lovely. And so affordable right now! She may not be a memorable doll, but she certainly is cemented in Barbie’s fashion history!
Speaking of Barbie I have a new exciting video coming out in two weeks, which will be a whole week dedicated to this particular doll, and will lead up to the big reveal! Hope you stay tuned for it!!

I have her which was in damaged box from Goodwill store, I discarded box and display her in shadow box on wall. Lilac & Lively Barbie is my favorite as Purple is my most favorite for life. 💜
She’s such a beautiful doll at the end of the day. I love her outfit. I think it would look so good on a peaches and cream Barbie or any AA doll!

She's one of the 3 barbie that I got from our neighbor that gave away back in the 80s, the one I got still has wonderful curls in her bangs, what I like the most is her eyes it's color violet.
Aww so you remember her? Thats so cool! I’m so happy yours has better hair. No doll should have this hair on the doll I got lol 😂 I’ve had used dolls who had better hair. I was quite shocked.
I had the Ice Cream Shoppe playset when I was a kid and I remember making ice cream with it. It didn't make very much and I don't remember it coming with any ingredients either. But it was a really cool set that I played with a lot. It was funny how the spoons were the bar seats and the bowls were the patio seats. lol
Oh wow! See that’s on my list. As I’d like to make the ice cream and have fun. I don’t have the dolls that go with it, but I’m sure it’ll work with any Barbie :)
I like this doll. I love the color, it’s one of my favorites. I think she has a pretty face too. I would have loved her as a kid! I didn’t have any of the store exclusives back then. There’s a few I have now in my colllection.
I would’ve loved her too! We didn’t have any stores with exclusives either near me. But when we got to go to toys r us it was always a treat:)

Oh I think she’s great! I really hope you show how you fix her hair as I haven’t had the best of luck with that type of hair. If I boil wash it, it totally frizzes! Fun review, thanks for sharing!

I was not tempted by dolls like this back in the day. All of these store exclusive dolls looked very generic to me. If I found them for cheap now, I'd probably get them for the 80s-ness of it all, but I am not really looking for any of them. A few of them are cute, I liked the Gold & Lace doll from Target and a few others. But I often just wished there was more skintone and haircolor variety in the dolls, most of them didn't even come in an AA variant. But redheads, brunettes, black-haired dolls, dolls with Steffie faces, would that have been too much to ask, Mattel?
Yeah, in a way they are rather generic. They usually just have recolored facial designs of bigger Barbie projects of the past. If they made this into a AA doll, could you imagine how beautiful that would’ve been? Maybe if I ever get a AA peaches n cream Barbie I can put her in this. She would look amazing!!
@@disneybarbiegirl615 Honestly in 1988, we probably would have seen a situation like the 1988 AA Fun-To-Dress Barbie, with blush and lipstick that clashes with her skintone. Mattel had been pretty hit or miss with regard to pleasing color for face screening for AA dolls in the late 80s. Sometimes they hit it out of the park, I love the screening on the 1988 California Dream Christie doll and the 1988 Island Fun Christie doll. But Fun-To-Dress? Yeesh.
The worst bed head ever!! As a last resort on some of those really funky smelling, over chemical cleaned dolls, have you ever tried soaking them in denture cleaner? If you're going to have to throw the doll out anyway, it may be worth a last ditch effort. (I even buried a Barbie in a jar of baking soda for over a year once!)
Sorry to bother you again but I'd like to know the three types of hair that you can use for an iron on the hair of the dolls bet you hot wash their hair to make it stay in place can you please answer that question for me thank you

Maybe the elastic can be replaced on the skirt? Not sure how easy it is for seam ripping barbie though.
She definitely fell victim to a poor tutorial huh lol 😂 the elastic could be pretty easy to relatively do I think. I’d just have to dye some elastic purple:)
