Love this channel and video! Just a comment on the skin. I have pretty dry skin on my face and sometimes get blotchy with redness. I’ve started washing and showering with cold water the last few months. Will never go back to hot showers exclusively except once in a while. It’s done wonders for my skin and scalp. It’s also helped me to take all that noise in the head out and focus on the moment. I know this has nothing to do with fashion but I feel it helps out with the decision making on picking the right outfit out rather than focusing on negative things we tell ourselves. Another great vid with solid tips and advice. Others have mentioned the sport coat and totally agree it’s an important piece of any guy’s wardrobe. Many years back I read something describing them as the “cure for the common wardrobe” for exactly the reasons you describe. Have my own collection of 7 in various weights and textures and almost always get complements when I wear one. Enjoying this channel!

I learned that combining light, and dark colors can create different effects on the eye, amazing stuff John; I am forty-three and thinking about getting braces as well.
Great content as always John! I am 5’10” and only weigh 155, though my wife has a picture of our family at her office, with a group of our friends, dropping off our kids at camp, and I am wearing a light blue fitted polo and dark gray chinos. Her co-workers commented that I was built like Thor or Daniel Craig when she first brought it in, and my upper body does look huge compared to everyone else’s in the picture, though it was just the color combination worn in just the right places for my body type, that created that optical illusion!

Collar stays = Revolutionary. Did not know this was a thing, always been a pet peeve of mine. Lots of nice shirts out there but when your collar is sagging and flopping around it wrecks the whole tight / clean look. Hope this becomes mainstream for all dress / casual shirts.

Great video and info John. I’m lucky not to have to use a skin regime. Just water on my face and then Nivea creme. That’s it. The odd pimple now and then but that’s normal I reckon. Maybe u could do a video on teeth? What’s best to remove stains etc
L8ke the collar stake. Regarding fit of shirts. You can do the military method of "fitting" or fitting your gig line. 1st is starch & press the shirt, it helps having a slightly larger shirt. For us tall boys make sure to get "T's" meaning that its longer. Next flatten out the front, then put 2 even folds in the back. This tightens up the shirt, tighten up your belt, then "re-dress" the tuck. Done! ☺☺☺

These are definitely some great tips on how to handsome harder. The zipper in the button down shirt is brilliant and well inspired. In my 30s I had my tailor put these little hooks in between the buttons down the fronts of my shirts to resolve the pulling you spoke of. They had a specific name but I don’t remember what they were called. They were sort of like the hooks you’d find on the back of a bra. They were made of plastic and always matched the color of the shirt so as to not be seen. They worked great but proved to be a bit laborious when caught in a frantic moment of heated passion. I’ll definitely have to check out what you’ve produced. Moreover than questionable style choices, I think what a lot of “established” men get wrong is the cut and the fit. Too loose or too tight is never really right. Classic cuts and a tailored look will always carry you from season to season and remain fashionable rather trendy. Also, try to keep it simple by keeping accessories to a minimum. Too much is just that. Too much...

I wear my button downs with the three top buttons undone (maybe more depending) to have a nice V shape and deal with that problem you mentioned about the shirt being tight on the chest.

Great video as always. Your thoughts on apparel and personal grooming is excellent. However, making ourselves handsome on the outside is not the key to attracting the opposite sex. A central key that is missing is how we communicate and our overall behavior. There is an ancient proverb from antiquity that says: kindness makes a man attractive. Being kind will draw the opposite sex and others to ourselves. In the end looking good is great but in reality demonstrating kindness wins us over.

I've have a number of slim fit shirts from the J Ferar line from JC Penney and a couple of fitted shirts from Express because I like the way they fit and look on me. Lookin' good in that black shirt BTW . It brings out the dark highlights in your hair and beard. Peace . :)

Love the tips John and the Shirts still working on the belly , wearing tailord fit right now so getting there not sure if these shirts would be to slim in the mid section. Oh and as for content how about more on teeth and whitening etc I have veneers on a few teeth and I'm always struggling to keep my teeth the same color.

I'm a big fan of all black shirts from Untuckit.
That classic black or charcoal well fitting shirt looks cool and modern without making a mature age gent look juvenile, like mutton dressed up as lamb. Every guy needs a basic classic plain, well cut shirt like that. It can take him anywhere and always look right. He could add a tie or wear it open necked...Very practical and versatile. Go for a fabric that requires no ironing but feels comfortable to wear. In a plain solid colour, fairly neutral, that suits your complexion. You can't go wrong. Tuck it in or leave it hanging out loose, if it is right length and has right sort of hemline to wear out.
I had a Boyfriend who knew he was going to need how to dress. For his Future Job as an Accountant. So he got a job in a Men's Suit Store. So he got paid to learn what he wanted. An yes, He had a very sucessful Practise. Women also like your Site too!

I have a horrible time finding slim fit blazers/sport coats. I generally wear 42 inch , and short length sleeve, and i need them tapered and not longer than halfway to crotch. Where is a good place to find? Online? Custom made?...any ideas...oh, and im 5’7 175 pounds 32 by 29 lol.

Jhon, it's funny to me to be watching this video. You say if you use this technics People will notice your "handsome". Well, it works because our token gay guy took a chance with me several times and has used the words. Ray, you always look handsome. I tell him thanks and go on with my life but now that you used this word handsome. I have heard it from several other people too. I guess I am handsome. The zipper under the buttons on a casual shirt is hilarious. On a uniform it's entirely different, but on a regular shirt It's a bit like removing your shoes to reveal you're wearing two inch lifts.
