Has a weirdly cyberpunk feel to it with all the neon lights and the little alarm going off every now and again. That engine noise though was amazing.
The sound you are hearing is actually a little aircompressor. Which powers the pneumatic shifter. Must be a really raw experience driving this 😮💨

Amazing footage! Tricky conditions...on the edge. The catch into turn 1 was EPIC! The frustrated "urgh" at 9:24 is classic. Nice to know IRL drivers grunt like the rest of us.
I have grunted at that very same chicane many times (in Gran Turismo). It's an awkward downhill approach and if you get it wrong you lose so much speed going back up the hill... So yes I know EXACTLY how Dirk feels 😜

Hey thanks mate! It is the compressor for the paddle shift system, it tries to keep a constant pressure in system so that the upshifts and downshifts work. Usually you can hear it more on braking because the paddle is pressed faster (from one press to another) while they brake and downshift.

Great video, racing at night has a completely different feel to it. What's up with the flashing high beams when you're approaching another driver? Is that like an automatic thing for the other driver to see you?
4 months late but most of the time it's a way of telling the driver ahead that you're faster and you're asking them to let you pass.
What is that electronic sound on braking? Also that sweet V10 🔥

Is that a dodgy tearoff or something wrong with the window or something else?
maybe a noob question but what's the situation with the window? Is it broken and sort of "glued" by something?
It's a plastic cover, they take it off in pits to quick clean the windshield, but there it has air in the inside I think.
How can I be a racedriver like this?

The brakes are noisy, give them some lubricant😅
