What's the point of a leverage bit? I understand how they function I am just wondering the reason for using one. I have always ridden bridleless, bitless or in a snaffle on hundreds of horses with no issue at all. Just trying to understand why some people like leverage bits over snaffle or bitless.

Hi, great question. Leverage allows the communication from your hands to the horse's feet to be faster, more precise and subtle.
In the sport of cutting a horse has to beat a cow to the stop, so the horse has time to anticipate, read what the cow is thinking and what direction it is about to go too.
