    Hello, main coder for this mod here.
    I loved your honest opinions and thank you for a review on our mod. A fairly accurate run down of the mod at the surface level, and shows we still have ways to go in fully presenting what the mod offers.
    There is one point I would like to mention regarding the costs of the regular bionics. They are completely untouched from the base game itself, which requires 15 plasteel and 4 advanced components. We used the standard bionic tier as the guiding stick to balance our content, and we do not touch archotech tier so people can choose their own specialized unique archotech bionics mod without clashing with ours if we had them.
    Nonetheless, I still appreciate your opinion as it further helps gauging the range of variable opinion that comes with Rimworld base game and modded.
    The MA-AI chip actually has two recipes, but the game only lists the first one available which is at Advanced Fabrication. The second recipe appears after the MA-AI Chip research, where you can make it without the AI Persona Core. This offers a method of gaining access to items that need it a little earlier but still not at the level of reliable mass production.
    For the rib implants, I personally hate them, they plague me on balancing, LOL. But we kept them because they were a legacy concept from the original mod. Also, Ribaorld!
    The menu shows all combined benefits, a base game thing, so that is why the muscle stimulator and auxiliary AI showed insane amount of stuff. They are implants that have multiple surgery choices for the same item, which confuses the game and the description display was not designed with it in mind. I gave them description hyperlinks to each individual implant options for those so it can be more accurately displayed.
    We are also about to release a update soon, with a hefty change log, but not affecting what you have gone over already on the surface as you didn't delve deep into the full statistics (You did for ribs, but they are unchanged).

      Wow thank for the feedback, genuinely appreciate it hugely! Love the mod btw, massively, has been used in many series on this channel!
      The bionics cost section I have now realised is incorrect and was an oversight by me who uh, doesn’t play vanilla rimworld and hasn’t for a very long time, I definitely apologise for that!
      And yeah I had no idea there was an MA-AI chip alternative recipe, just looked at the item and saw the one and took it at face value, I genuinely didn’t think there would be alternative recipes elsewhere!
      And the ribs are good fun, I like em, means I can fill my colonists health bar with more colours haha.
      Once again thank you for the feedback, I do apologise for the oversight I made in the resource cost, totally my bad for just not playing base game vanilla rimworld like, ever 😂.       ​@@Kingallhobos I know this video was just posted 2 days ago, so reuploading it with edited information to be more accurate would be a big hit to your battle with the YT algorithm - perhaps that's not an option. Maybe in the future, given 3-6 months time, you could revisit this mod with your newfound knowledge and provide an updated review? Reuse a lot of the footage, maybe even some of the audio here and there, but with some new sections added in to do the mod some justice? Just a thought, anyways, your vids are always fairly informative and entertaining to watch.

      For the love of god dont make it easier to research or craft. It’s absolutely balanced and making it cheaper would break the game

    While on the topic of bionics, I think you should look at the Crypto Bionics, Hell Bionics, and Anima Bionics mods if you haven’t.
    Crypto and Hell could be a double feature with ice and fire bionics respectively.

    Also the forked version of this mod is a lot more balanced and even has a expansion adding advanced special limbs like drill arms and field hands. This version doesn't have bionics locked behind the advanced components. very good.

    6:20 Well, of course, the bionic implants of this mod need Advanced Components. They are expanding/enhancing the vanilla "bionic" tier of prosthetics, which requires Advanced Components.
    It would feel really weird if the moded bionic implants required different materials than the vanilla bionic implants.
    And yeah, they are late-game ish. Becuase vanilla bionic tier is late-game ish. It fits perfectly with vanilla rimworld, if you are playing in spacer tech.

    'What's the point of a mod that you can't access until the very end of your game?'
    I think the simple answer to this, is that it's designed to provide somewhere to 'keep going' once you've maxed out your colony and reached the end of the tech tree. If you've ever researched everything and thought 'Oh. Well. I guess the journey's over then.', well this is the kind of situation this mod is built for.

      Yeah I totally agree, like I said in the video, it’s very much time dependent for people playing in vanilla rimworld or with not many mods. For me who generally spends a couple of weeks on a playthrough time is whatever, but for some people time is going to be a big factor as to if they are going to be able to see a return on their potentially limited time 😃

    A mod that you can throw into EPOE Forked is Qaulity bionics Continued. Ever wonder why your crafter with 20 skill points can't have a prostetic leg function better or make a better bionic leg? Now that's not a issue. Smarter bionics for smarter people. Just don't use elite bionics framework with it. they aren't compatible. but quality bionics is compatible with mostly any bionics mod.

      Oh for sure, not sure why I didn’t recommend all the additional modules that come with the mod, looking back I am very confused with my decision making! Haha 😅😂

      @@Kingallhobos @senatorarmstrong1233 Be careful I used EPOE + Qaulity bionics and INSTALL TWO Legendary bionic leg and if u have any mod that adds floor tile that increase moving speed there will be game crash. over~30c/s

    Protip: Turn Colonist Instant Death to 0%.
    No matter how many shots they get, they will magically stay at 1 HP so you can try to save them. Depending on the battle, there will be a lot less of them left, giving you the chose to feed a veggi for years until you can fix them or put them down.
    It is a lot more engaging than a random headshot killing them on the spot. Dead people don't eat. People without arms and legs and spines do. And they need someone to feed them.

    I was wondering why your version of EPOE look strange, like the textures are all off. Then I realized I already installed a retexture mod called [JGH] EPOE retexture. It's so vanillia-like I couldn't tell which bionic is modded

      @@Kingallhobos then I'd argue that by locking the really high ones behind persona cores, it makes them a craftable noncraftable (in vanillaish settings) if you catch my drift

      Thank you! Atm this UA-cam stuff and content creation is just a hobby so I’d rather use what I already have, but in the future I will definitely upgrade my mic to something hands free!
