Hey, it’s the guy that (fortunately or unfortunately) made this mod! I love the critical look at this and will definitely review some parts of it, but I do want to add mainly:
In the balancing section, you missed that as cyberization increases, the user suffers mental break drawbacks and other penalties. This was the main way I was balancing the extreme cyberbrain and its cost only being somewhat higher was to fit with lore, but I do certainly need to raise its research cost! Otherwise the hefty mental penalties I felt did add up for it versus using a specialised brain from play testing.
The info issue is partially Rimworld Vanilla UI limitations, but I do need to get at improving getting it across for sure in research and items. I try to include most things in the description of the cyberbrain items themselves, but a wall of text was not a great solution and doesn’t have specific stat numbers.
Thanks for the feedback and the review itself was quite good, I will be tackling the issues such as specialised cyberbrain graphics sometime in the future. Just wanted to let you know you missed that critical part of balancing.
I look forward to using this mod. Thanks for making it.
Regarding the increased mental breakdowns, i genuinely don’t know how i missed it and for that i am sorry that I didn’t include that within this video because yes, that would’ve definitely contributed to my opinion with the extreme cyber brains!
Thank you for bringing me up on what i missed, it is hugely appreciated!
Thank you for making this mod! ♥️
@@Kingallhobos No worries it’s easy to miss things this, and Rimworld’s UI also displays the stat in a way that isn’t really intuitive but I stick with it because that’s how it displays it in vanilla traits and pretty much every other mod.
Thanks for the review, hope the UA-cam algorithm finally finds your channel soon!
Is there a psi specialized brain?
Im happy to do pixel art or tiny swords, guns picks n shit if you want
Massive +consciousness bonuses? Does that mean that my pawns will no longer die if they have blood loss and decide to hit a blunt? I'm sold.
Depends on how strong the boof is brother 😂
greened out and never came back
Why that's the dream death
POV your a pawn that just killed 25 people and are trying to destress (you have taken a good amount of blood loss)
Snoop Dog would be the one bringing you to the pearly gates
FSF Advanced Bionics (and Vanilla Expanded) is another bionics mod alternative to EPOE and Rah's and personally I prefer it as it's much more streamlined.
Totally fair
The moment I understood, the weakness of my flesh consciouness... It discuted me.
Nice
as an modded Rimworld enjoyer, i wanna say that i love your Reviews and the style how you make them!
Thank you so much!
I like cybernetic organism and neural network myself.
It not only adds implanta but the implants are more exotic and interesting for the cost. Some implants even increase body part hp at very high cost. Or synergize with other implants( like laser detection on ears, adding accuracy and night vision, shooting speeds).
I’ll check it out!
Really cool mod. Can be a bit of a framerate killer if you give all pawns the laser aim and flashlight implants, the engine hates moving light sources. But the variety of that mod is really, really good.
A cyber brain super soldier vs one EMP boio
Perhaps wouldn’t go well 😅
I think there should be protective options that may preclude you from wearing proper armour, but keep your insane Adam Jensen/Motoko Kusanagi crossover pawn safe from electrical damage.
I think you should try intergrated implants next, adds some fun features like extra arms.
I’ll check it out!
Micromachines, son. I mod them in in response to vanilla gameplay.
One way to balance these mods a little is 'ignorance is bliss'. The mod prevents factions beyond your tech level from attacking you. Great for generational playthroughs with tech progression activated through other mods so your tribals don't get smoked by a single spacer pirate.
Good idea!
What about [FSF] Advanced Bionics?
Personally I have never used that mod, nor have I heard of it😅 probably need to look into it and see what I provides!
@@Kingallhobos it is one of my favorite mods. Particularly advanced drill rms and healing mechanites.
Thank you for reviewing!
No problem!☺️
Ah yes, another mod for me to add into my light 327 mod list.
327 fairly light
Personally I don't like mods that add high level tech gear. I prefer imagining that my colonists live in a world where they did exists but is very rare. Of topic but one also posted another mod cake Kevlar apparel under the name poncho if you ever have time to check out out. Keep up the good work!
Yeah totally get your opinion! Very understandable!
great content as always
Appreciate it!
kind of insane we dont have more of this
Facts!
implants? go on, im listening.
Nothing better!
@Kingallhobos honestly with the amount of implants I'm using, this od is not for me. Replacing a body part entirely is worse than filling it with 6 implants
I think you could use some more light, the green screen was showing, good quality otherwise though :D
Yeah I made the mistake of wearing a t shirt which was a shade of green 😂😂😂 otherwise the lighting would’ve been fine, I did my best editing the green screen despite the situation haha
*replaces your brain with cyberbrain*
Yipppee!
I'd personally prefer same concept but just 3 brains for 150 / 200 / 300 % increase in consciousness (as it affects everything anyway), no abilities no research (ok maybe 1-3 researches).
As is - not even gonna try. It clutters interface in every possible way while providing questionable bonuses.
Totally fair, I too sometimes just prefer the simplicity but at least with this mod you do get that option by going down the more straight forward tech rather than the specialised stuff!
Is this mod something like Ghost in the Shell?
It’s exactly like that actually haha
@@Kingallhobos nice
Can this mod stack with the altered carbon mod?
@@kennethmana3103 It can.
@@kennethmana3103 Only thing I've found is that psylinks do not transfer with Altered Carbon. Likely on AC's side.
First?
Millennium star was first
Maybe
Damn, 5 views in 5 minutes? Bro fell off.
Fell off hard 😅
