Four unforgettable figures in my 51 year old mind.

These teams would meet in the NCAA tournament in the Sweet 16 with the game being played at a much slower pace. The game in the sweet 16 ended 46-43.

That second game between Indiana and Illinois is infamous because Bob Knight benched four of his starters for the entire game in his words for"not having a commitment to defense"

LEFTY & MARYLAND SHOULD HAVE WON VS N.C.STATE , PLUS HE SHOULD HAVE WON SEVERAL OTHER ALMOST AS IMPORTANTGAMES OVER THE DECADES .
HE ASSEMBLED REALLY TALENTED TEAMS BACK THEN .

THIS IS JUST WHAT I THOUGHT , THAT VILLA NOVA WAS NOT AS STRONG A TRADITION IN THE OLD DAYS .
THEN THEY USE THE VAST CROWD TO MAKE IT TOO STRESSFUL TO CHEER FOR U-M WHEN YOU ARE TOO OLD TO TAKE THE STRAIN .
I SHOULD HAVE PULLED FOR GEORGETOWN INSTEAD OF VILLA NOVA WHEN PATRICK EUWING WAS PLAYING .
