I first heard these folks opening for Flogging Molly at The House of Blues in Chicago back in 2008. I've loved them ever since and try to go to any nearby shows. They put on one hell of a live performance. Excellent musicians and they're super friendly with the audience. Legitimately one of the best live bands I've ever watched.

@@StairStepDogTraining Interesting comparison, Jimi Hendrix, I think I saw an interview whre she claimed she would smash her washboard as part of the act. After a wrist injury, she switched to simply setting them on fire. Also. I think Josh & Breezy met on a blind date?

That's almost exactly how I reacted when I watched them opening for Flogging Molly back in 2008. Dude walks on stage with a dobro, followed by a woman with a washboard, and a drummer playing a 5-gallon bucket as a floor tom. I was about as skeptical as one could be...then the good reverend started playing and I was in awe. Of course, when he introduced a song by saying, "Who here thinks their momma makes good fried potatoes? You're all wrong, 'cause my momma makes the best damned fried potatoes on the whole damn planet," then went into _Momma's Fried Potatoes,_ I was sold. I even had a chance to speak with him after the show. Great group.

I just watched these guys in Oak Hill WV yesterday and it was one of the best times I’ve had at a show. Couldn’t stop dancing!! Do yourself a favor… if these guys come close to your town go see them! You won’t regret it.

The best part of this whole video is the obvious love you can see passing between Breezy and the Reverend. So touching and sweet! And I echo all the sentiments of people saying you need to see them live. I caught them as an opener for Flogging Molly about 10 years ago, and they were fan-freaking-tastic.

We will never seen them at the CMA. That is because they would upend the place. Their sound, their charisma, their talent is off the charts. Seen them in person. Best two hours of the decade.

I saw the Big Damn Band last weekend, and I actually went for the opening act.
I had never heard of them before, but was sticking around out of curiosity, and holy crap what a show. The place went insane when this was played.
Had them on constant rotation for 2 days now.
