    Thank you so so much! You helped me and I didn't even need to leave the house with my green hair! It was perfect for the light green tinge my hair picked up after going for a fall brown color. I have very dark hair and my stylist had to lift my hair to a caramel color in the few highlighted sections around my face... that was the only slight green tinge thankfully. I made this concoction in a light pick and left it on for about twenty mins and boom... color corrected. Thanks - you are brilliant! Lesson learned today - go to my stylist and stick to my own profession 😁

    I readed years ago that ketchup added to conditioner (or used alone) can reduce green color in home conditions when You don't have pink/red dye. There were provided pictures and the results was pretty good :) but I don't know how long the results lasted 😅

    Super cool idea! May need to nip to asda and stock a few food colouring for emergency situations lol!
    Once this is neutralised can we just simply colour/lighten over it and how do you think the food colouring would react to the bleach etc?

    Nice. I use 7 RV demi . For 5 min or longer if needed. ..it will neutralize the green ash perfectly . Works great, and last long. 😉😉😉

    I always have Malibu swimmers at home as well as well water packets from Malibu . My highlights were PERFECT without toner!! But the money piece were over bleached and I put in shades eq 6n on roots and dragged down- and 9n all over- almost all highlights turned greenish yellowish and the money piece ughh

    What would you recommend someone do to get into hair? Any specific courses? And do you have a favourite line you use for dyes, how would you learn a new line? Thank you

    • @TheLifeOfHair
      @TheLifeOfHair  2 роки тому

      Hi what recommendations would I have good question are there are many ways to get into this industry depending on when you live in the world specific courses well not really I think each course has its own pitfalls like anything. I think for me the best way to learn is by mannequin head get a tripod or a table camp and practice practice practice there any way that you gonna learn any product range is to use it as much as possible you can buy real hair wefts and that will give a better understanding on the product But if you want to know more about colour theories and really focus on just to let yourself a bit understand what neutralises were on the levelling system and then start to experiment with the actual colour the house all the best James

      @@TheLifeOfHair thanks for your reply. I’m in the Uk and want to go on professional courses if you could recommend any. I’ll try the mannequin and wefts too. I joined your academy and will keep an eye out for the other videos. I joined a specialist bleach and vivid colour course online too.

    This is great information to have!!! I had a friend that I went to cosmetology school with that lightened her hair then she applied Henna and it turned her hair algae green!!! I was able to remove it, but she's one of those stylists that changes her hair color about every two weeks because she gets "bored" with the current color. Her hair was already damaged from being over processed and she wondered why it wouldn't grow. Seriously?🤨

      Did you use this technique or something else?

    • @jameslipke354
      @jameslipke354 2 роки тому

      @@free.as.abutterfly I haven't had the opportunity to try this yet. The green algae hair faux pas was a little over a year ago. I used a soap cap with using equal parts of lightener, clarifying shampoo and clarifying conditioner. It was slow going, but I was able remove all of the algae green from the blonde. After that, I put a deep conditioning treatment on her hair under the dryer.
      I have 14 mannequins that I use for trying color techniques that are new or that I haven't tried before. I have a Platinum Pixie Cut mannequin I considered deliberately coloring green just so I can try this. I'll do it sometime this week and let you know how well it works for me compared to the soap cap!

      @@jameslipke354 I used henna & indigo for 1 year & have just had it bleached twice at the hairdresser. We were left with 1 green band in the middle & even after toning its still visible. We are not too sure what to do at this point, either another round of bleach in 3 months or tone it all darker

    • @jameslipke354
      @jameslipke354 2 роки тому

      @@free.as.abutterfly Have your stylist try a soap cap on that band first! Unfortunately, since Henna is plant based, the resulting color from using it will never be consistent. With prolonged use of Henna, and by prolonged I at least several years in a row, Henna will change the shape of your hair follicles, it can and it WIILL embed to the point that you will never be able to remove it from your hair. Your hair will no longer lighten and it will no longer hold any color at all. You would be stuck with a muddy brown, muddy red or not quite black hair color for the rest of your life. I had a client in school that had used Henna on her for 10 years straight because it was a "better, natural hair color alternative" in her opinion, so what I know about the end result of using Henna constantly is from experience. Our Lead Educator also reminded the students of what Henna will do constantly. We tried everything we could, nothing worked. Two of my Educator's have been stylists for over 30 years and Educator's over 20 years. They know what they're doing. That woman's hair is now a very muddy brownish red. It looks like Oklahoma dark red clay that has been mixed with the darkest soil you can possibly imagine. She got so desperate, she has even shaved her head completely twice and worn wigs while her hair grew out. My Educator's told her she could try that, but to be prepared for when her hair grew back in that same color. Try the soap cap first. I'd hate for you to have the blonde turn red and the green band still be visible in your hair because it didn't work. Apparently, my friend was too busy talking or had her nose in her social media accounts. She got lucky she only tried it once. Be sure to comment on if that soap cap, ON THE GREEN ONLY until it's lightenened so the integrity of your hair isn't damaged and needing a lengthy recovery period. worked and I will ask my former Educator's, now my friends what they would do after that if it doesn't work. Depending on where the band is, is it something that could be removed by changing your current haircut? I guess it depends upon how wide it is and where it's located in your hair.🤔 Please let me know how you come out!!!❤

    • @TheLifeOfHair
      @TheLifeOfHair  2 роки тому +4

      Hi George, thank you for your question if you don’t want pink for example and you want to just neutralise the green you simply need to make the solution a lighter pink apply it to the hair and test the results if I just put more conditioner into the mixture it would’ve made it a lighter shade of pink and therefore would’ve just neutralised instead of seeing the pink 👍🏻
