Thanks dude! Really appreciate the support! And I'm gonna need to figure out how to work better with filament. Originally I had wanted to link a few of them up but I guess it changes the voltage? I gotta do some more research...
Had some fairly large family medical issues the last few weeks, spent a lot of time in a hotel waiting for family to get out of ICU... I ONLY tell you this because your videos truly helped me get through the late nights this week and stay out of my head. Thank you for what you do. I just truly want you to know that. Much love to everyone that reads this :)
@@gameyybuilds haha I hate sharing that type of stuff cause it sounds like self pity, but I mean it sincerely from the view of I think you should know that what you do reaches past just art and entertainment... You give people an escape and in a world that feels like the walls are constantly closing in .... It's much needed. Thank you again
The Sarlacc Pit looks really good, and I definitely enjoyed this video. Also loved the commentary along the journey. I'm gonna have to check out some other builds too. Awesome job. 👍
Just some tips/ideas. If you use a hair dryer or heat gun to heat the hands, you can repose them fairly easily so it doesn't look like someone's just stolen his gun. I'd recommend cooling them quickly with cool water when the pose is good though. If you use some Molding putty, you can fill up the joints in the toy. This does means you need to paint it but if you've painted everything, everything looks more cohesive. You should coat your foam in modge podge or spackle to give it a better and more durable surface for painting. For texturing foam, check out North Of The Border. He's amazing at it and it's super easy. I would have added some sand/gravel but that's more of a personal preference. Solid effort.
Thanks for the tips! I hadn't thought of trying a heat gun for reposing the figure, but that makes a lot of sense and will be a lot less destructive than fire for sure. And yes, I know North of the Border's stuff, he's great!
Another impressive diorama sir. The vein effects are perfect and the sandy, broken rim really place this in its setting well and add an extra element. Bravo.
Yet another great video! I love the attention to alien biology :) "And had to redo everything. (Confused screaming)" -Gamey Builds 2022 Congrats on 1K!
It's a very good work, maybe a couple more of led filaments to give more light to the jetpack it would improve a lot of the final result, but the inside of the sarlacc is very good!
Yes I totally agree, in fact originally I tried to wire a few LED filaments end to end but somehow it didn’t work, if you have any info on how to do this feel free to share! I searched online but couldn’t find any info on it.
Very nice job. Kudos for the creativity of using ping pong balls and googly eyes. It only just came to me, but I bet buying a few different sizes of plastic BBs and melting+gluing them into sheets would be really good material for making patches of wart or pustules.
That’s a great idea! I haven’t yet started pre-building these kinds of textural elements since eqch build I do is so different and I never know what I’ll need, but the idea of melting things onti a sheet might work in the future for sure.
Great work! I'd love to try to build something like this one day. Just wanted to note though - his gauntlet color isn't wrong, this is an Empire Strikes Back figure where he had green gauntlets. In Return of the Jedi they are red. His cape should also be green instead of beige and his jetpack should be blue, yellow, red and white instead of green to convert ESB to RotJ. That's a nitpick of a very small detail though - incredible job here!
Dude you do such a good job!!! I love watching your videos. Shaving editing. Very funny dialogue. Creative builds. Keep it up. Also I wanna know what made you start building dioramas? Have you always had a skill for this craft? When did you start?
Thanks! I started last August and my first video (the podracer) was my fourth scratch build. I used to build models but dioramas are new for me, got into it after seeing other builders here on UA-cam! I still consider myself a novice though.
@@gameyybuilds its nice to see some Clay being used. I love boylei but he uses mainly just MP and Foam, and of course apoxy. I have tried alot to work with foam, but las, no good work to produce from it. It takes meticulous skill for that. I'm better with clay, and not alot of these folks are doing Mainly Clay based dias, this gives me hope I can do some cooler things now.
@@THEMADBOMBER Since I don't have a 3D printer, I'm very limited when it comes to finer detail stuff. If I can find a way to kit bash something I'll go that route, but otherwise clay is the next best option. I'm not a great sculptor though!
@@gameyybuilds That's a fantastic looking, highly detailed inside of a Sharlacć, you may not consider yourself a sculptor, but you have the gift for it. You did an amazing job, 3D printers are nice. I've had 2 that I used for a few years before getting out of CAD and STL type programs. Keep an eye out for market place or even just Google window shopping. Lots of 3d printers coming out for a cheaper price. Of course once your channel absolutely skyrockets, you'll probably have companies wanna have you product test for them 😉
For this build, I was using the cheapest brushes and acrylic craft paints I could find, but I've since upgraded to using Vallejo acrylics for my finer pieces (though I still use cheap brushes and paints for lots of things)
Iam the same way I buy Paints like Vallejo As well Army Painter . Humbrol Citadel AK interactive. Liquex For certain things But Crafr And Rattle Cans For the rest
I’m shocked you’re able to work with floral foam honestly I accidentally got it instead of xps when I first started and I swear I was itching at that dust for hours after I had cleaned up
Yeah, it is very messy to work with for sure. However, having used it for several projects instead of XPS, I’d say I would still use it for certain effects, since it’s so much softer and more pliable.

Hey Gameyy! Wheres the best place to get ahold of you? Would love to work with you :)
Hi there, you can reach me on my Instagram account @gameyybuilds
It would have been amazing if this was the way that Boba escaped the sarlacc in the show. Instead they made him crawl out 🙄
Yeah, it would've! It was pretty unrealistic to climb his way out of compacted sand like that... Oh well. Enjoying the show for the most part.
Gnarly
It looks disgusting at the painting stage… so it’s perfect.
Holy crap quit cutting towards your hands when using razor sharp knives Youre giving me anxiety 😆
Great build but I have to say removing bobas helmet for 90% of the show really ruined it. Especially when he looked like deadpool with false teeth.
Agreed. Also should’ve done it 10 years ago when he was a little younger. Felt like everyone was running circles around him…
I am Boba Fatt I've survived many horrible things but I will not survive the subhuman trash writing my show at Disney
I've enjoyed it overall, but it does seem that they weakened him quite a bit.
