Many years later, after the series ended, little Cindy Brady admitted to Oprah Winfrey that most of her "accidental" slip-ups were actually deliberate efforts to create discord and chaos between other family members.
To be fair, that was quite RUDE of the boys to nonchalantly walk into the room and change the channel when they CLEARLY see Jan watching the television set...
Bobby and Greg were being jerks, she had the TV first. How would they like it if someone came and turned off the game when they were in the middle of watching it?
I don't blame Jan for being ticked off at Greg and Bobby interrupting her movie and switching the channel. But she had the wrong argument. Rather than bellyaching about her siblings she ought to have asked for more courtesy (which she had better be prepared to give herself). Why didn't she tell Mom how they had just switched the channel on her? If I were Carol I'd have to side with her because she was there first and had gotten interested in the movie. But there really needed to be more TV's in the house.
We had 2 TV's and we weren't rich by any stretch of the imagination. But for a long time we only had a black and white TV. Then we got the color one and instead of arguing over who got to see their show and who got to miss theirs, we argued over who got to watch their show in color. But at least we didn't have to miss shows anymore. The Bradys definitely had more than 1 TV since in the first season they bought one with the trading stamps in that episode where they were trying to decide between a boat and a sewing machine. They got a TV set and they'd already had one in the family room. So the boys should've watched their game on the other TV and left Jan alone.@@waynemacfarland1546
I know how Jan feels. They cut the part where Jan is about to ride her bike and out of nowhere Marsha just grab her bike just because she got a flat tire on her's and takes off. Now that's plan rude.
It's a little bratty sure, but I remember saying the same thing to my brothers when I was a kid. Siblings can go out of their way to get under your skin when you just want a little peace and quiet.
For the younger generation-if you didn’t catch a movie or game or show at the time it was on-you missed it. Not like nowadays where you can record it.There weren’t even vcrs back then.
One bathroom for six is kind of unreasonable, considering that everyone else had at least 50% of a bathroom. Mike the Architect couldn't include a hall bathroom or one downstairs? I'm not agreeing with Jan's hissy fit but Peter and Cindy were kind of jerkish about the bathroom, too.
I suspect Alice had her own bathroom or there was one downstairs somewhere. Remember the laundry room and Alice's room were off the kitchen. Alice surely didn't have to traipse upstairs to the kids' rooms every time she had to go, and the doors to the kids' bathroom were in the kids' 2 rooms. So there had to be another bathroom downstairs. Jan could've run down there. I'm sure there were plenty of times when the kids borrowed Alice's bathroom.
I wonder what happened to all those embroideries that Carol did throughout the show??? hahahahahah I remember in the 70's we were all doing them. It was so trendy back then. I still have a couple I did.

Poor Jan. She lives in a nice house, has nice clothes, and parents that love her. I realize it’s hard having so many siblings, but all in all, she had it pretty good.

I feel sorry for Jan, But, I feel sorry for the whole family including Alice. Why ? Because there is NOT a Toliet in the bathroom or anywhere in the house. So, where do they go IF they have to go…. It’s a mystery for sure! Anyone know ? 😊
You're right, I think they were all suffering from self-induced constipation! Alice never told them, but she secretly used Tiger's dog house whenever she needed to go. That is why Tiger was never seen again after the first season! 😂
Lol 😂 I couldn't help laughing when Bobby broke the TV knob! But I felt bad for Jan Mike should've supported her a little bit on what she was going through by letting her have the Den as a temporary bedroom so she could have some time away from her siblings and cool down like he did for Greg when he wanted a room for himself the first time.
