That's why I LOVE IT SOO much. I love slow burns that give you something but never really give you anything for years. The teasing was everything. If anyone knows another show like this please let me know.
@@sloanelaker1130the 80s show Who’s the Boss? is like that. The friendship between the two leads is so sweet, you really believe they love each other, definitely recommend it
Niles: Did I know? For four years, I've been hinting to him, I've been hinting to you, I've been hinting to him to hint to you. Why do you think I don't have time to make pate?!😂😂😂
This is so hilarious! And they were literally always acting as if they were a married couple. Either Niles is a genius, or they are totally dumb. I think it’s both lmao
I like her comparison that Leslie looks like Audrey Hepburn, because Ive always thought Fran Drescher looks a lot like a more flamboyant dressing Audrey Hepburn! Lol
Also- the episode with Leslie the doppelgänger had me cackling the whole time. C.C.‘s “Good god, it’s multiplying” made me howl the first time, and I still laugh to this day 😂😂
Their relationship always reminded me of The Sound of Music: you’ve got the fun loving, caring, free spirited nanny and the somewhat uptight, successful, serious widower. The nanny looks after the widower’s children and forms a close bond with everyone, while the blonde woman vies for the widower’s attentions (the baroness and C.C.)
The audience was composed of paid actors who were chosen for having good laughs. It was because Fran Drescher had a horrific SA experience and didn't want to go to work and have a rotating mass of hundred strangers there every day. I think I learned about it on either RadioLab or This American Life
I remember when I was a kid I watched this show and loved it. Now I'm grown, and I still love it, but I feel horrible for fran. The genuine heart ache she was feeling for being in love and never really knowing when or if it could be reciprocated. The pain max was in being not really knowing if it was love, or loneliness for the woman he still loved and lost. It was so depressing and still so wonderfully done.
I love how most of this video has Niles in between the both of them being their biggest shipper and getting irritated that they just won’t say what needs to be said. Just SAY IT!!!!! 😂😂😂
Poor Niles was put through the ringer in frustration at trying to get Fran and Max to see the obvious. LOL! Fran and Max also had one of the best slow burn romances that ended perfectly well. Still one of my favorite 90s couples!
The frustration of NILES at 10.16 😅after years of hinting to him to her to him about her😂😂😂The poor guy had more patience than a saint !! He was the best friend they both could ever have !!
I rewatch tye entire show now qnd has such a delightful time. Back then i was little. Today getting all the jokes and humer. Wow. So much better than a lot of new shows these days 😊
I remember seeing this show on Nick at Nite when I was 11 or something. I’m 24 now and this is the first time I’ve been recommended a YT vid related to it wow lol
Absolutely love Niles grabbing Maxwell by the collar and yelling the absolute truth to him. Things had gone on far too long. But once they married, it signaled the end of the show, according to Fran Dresher herself
I watch the entire show when it was being aired. Such great writers and actors. Why cant they make a show like this again where each episode is full of laughs😂
This was, is and likely always will, be my favorite ! ❤I want a show like this to watch again. Great actors. Great writers such amazing humour!! Please do make another just like this again.
This actually reminds me more of one way I feel an avoidant attachment style and fairlt emotionally immature person would react to being broken up with. It feels like they are feeling no bond or loss or vulnerability at all whatsoever. Also to people in comments saying the character here who dumped must not care about the person or is bad, that is not fair. People break up for many reasons. Sonetimes it is just best to end a connection. And it does not automatically mean the person is mean or does not care.
*They should rename this "Niles being the hero we all needed for 11 mins and 9 seconds* 😂
Or *Niles being an impatient shipper* 😂😂
Or Niles history's first hardcore shipper
aye add Sylvia to the title
Niles was here for those of us who wanted them to just kiss 😂
Niles was the goat 😂
Watching this show was like reading the slowest slowburn fanfiction
This
Yeah but the other plots and character dynamics were fun.

He did a few times. They still didn't get it. @@gl00myharvester
Niles's monologue about the oven mit was outstanding 👏🏼👏🏻👏💜💚💛
And then the same one about the fruit
Niles worked so hard for this relationship....

Niles was the real star of half of these scenes. 😁
Niles really built this ship
Niles worked for this relationship harder then Fran and Max!
"I just really respect your opinion" immediate smash :/
Dang not immediate

Niles needed a salary raise, based in a 49% Mr. Sheffield's company share at least 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤

Definitely both lmao
Also she works for him and doesn't want to hurt the children's feelings, and he understandably struggled with getting over his late wife.
Niles was ALL OF US. If they had dragged this out any longer, we all would have just spontaneously combusted. 😆
Drug?

Except when it comes to CC 😂

because TSoM WAS the inspiration 😂 (along with Fran Drescher's childhood)
I think is safe to say that we all had the inner Niles when it comes the ships we OBVIOUSLY can see it happening but are being drag out.
This is how I found out there was a live audience for some of the early episodes, imagine being in that audience

One that's missing is Niall saying, "I love you!" as if wanting them to say it to each other, and they both say, "We love you too, Niles."

Their on and off screen chemistry is so good and beautiful ❤️
I needed a Niles to shake me out of my overthinking once upon a time
Niles was the NUMBER ONE shipper

Niles absolutely SNAPPED 😂 can’t say I blame him
To think that the two had to realize around season 4 and 5 for them to make a move. I love that Niles have them hints for years lol
Niles was the Best Character in this Show.
10:43 is EVERYTHING 😂 I'm not a slowburn kinda person and I strongly identify with poor Niles 🫠
Like I'm so glad they put this scene into the show, it was cathartic having someone speak sense😂
The actor that plays Niles has the best American English accent I’ve heard in a long time.
I thought he was English (I'm english)
the audience's groan at 7:20 KILLS me 🤣
This is a GREAT collection! Nile's voice in the last scene is Screaming "Disney-animation character.." (to me).. 😅
