  • In this Brother Scan and Cut Tips and Tricks tutorial, you will learn how to cut stamped images using your Scan and Cut CM350 or ScanNCut 2. You can follow along with whichever model of ScanNCut you have. The stamp set used for this tutorial is Tasteful Touches by Stampin’ Up! I shared tips and tricks on how to cut out the flowers, springs and feathers from this stamp set. I shared troubleshooting techniques and tips for getting better results. I always try to use Black & White Recognition Mode first because it saves time and usually does the trick. These feathers were tricky and required Color Recognition Mode. That worked and I was able to successfully cut 49 of the 54 stamped feathers I stamped onto Whisper White cardstock. I also shared several cards and a mini pizza box I created I decorated using these stamps and several coordinating products. A full list of supplies is listed below.

    It's wonderful seeing the Stampin' Up products and how you use them in cards or projects, as they always are far nicer than just looking at the catalog - and especially all your tips for getting the best cutting on the Scan N Cut - I really appreciate all your time in sharing with us - thank you so much, Kimberly!!

    Great tutorial! I had got a scan n cut a year ago December. I took a class at my local fabric store that sells them, not where I bought mine. It was a nightmare. Good thing it was only $20 or $30 or I really would have been upset. It was a basic class and I still did not know how to use the machine when I left. Neither did my 2 friends. Someone online told me to look you up and I’m so happy I did. Thank you for teaching like we’re all dummies, but not really. Lol.I will watch your videos til I know how to do whatever I want to learn to do. Very helpful, very appreciated. Thanks!! I’m a demonstrator too and had not seen the wooden embellies yet . Gotta get some of those. Don’t they have the best embossing folders ever this year. I had not seen the textured one yet either ,love it. Got the other one too

      Carol, I am happy you are watching. I keep noticing things in the catalog each time I flip through it. Good thing we get a discount! I want it all. Oh I am not sure if you know that I offer online ScanNCut courses. You could take 2 or 3 of mine for the price of the one course you took. Papered Chef thank you so much. I would love that and I’ll mention it to my friend in my stamp group. That would be awesome. I’m not a real techy person but I can learn. Thanks so much for letting me know. I know exactly what you mean . I do mixed media too and with the virus and being home watching videos between stampin up’s new catalog and stocking up on retired stuff and the videos you see things u want and I just keep shopping. I think July is gonna be a dry month except stampin up. Classes don’t count though:)

    Yes, I wish there was some notice of not needing both plates with that embossing folder (3D). I was wondering what I was doing wrong. Through experimenting, i figured it out. LOVE that embossing folder. Those feathers are not flawed, just unique. Where have we EVER seen two exact feathers in nature. Great video, thanks.

    OH and thank you for the tip about the "coloured label" for the SU Stamp pad! I never knew that either. I just thought that patch on the back was just a label. I didn't know that you could peel it off and use it. I was preparing to create a sticky label sheet and stick that on each of the ink pads that I have! I wish I could give your channel a 1000 likes! You have saved me hours of work.

    • @PaperedChef
      @PaperedChef  4 роки тому

      Thanks for watching and rewatching. If for example, a feather is 1" high. You would ignore everything up to 0.9" and then your feather would still be there but not the stray bits. If you were to ignore 1.1" then your feather would disappear because you ignored objects larger than your feather.

    Can you answer a question? it's about the Pens, and how to use the drawing options (particularly creating "text" stamps and cuts"). I've found that the pens supplied are too thick. I want to create my own sentiments for card making and scrapbooking. Both printed and cutting.
