In my experience in Australia the department works above the mental health act and will as in their words, not stop pursuing a person. I was told this twice that even although it has been proved that I do not have a mental health condition they will not stop Ted flagging me telling as many as they can that I have a mental illness I do not have, proved that I don't have it by expert 2nd opinion. That is not medicine it is something else.

Thomas Szasz suggested that people who are said to have a Mental Health Disorder label - should see if they can take a Cognitive Functioning Test. Scoring well here could override DSM disease-like labeling and the drugs people are forced to take - ie. Proven ability trumps the empirical tinkering of psychiatrists!

This Red Flagging of you is much like what is enabled via the Baker Act in FL - which Atty. Carmen Miller has criticized in 5 videos for the CCHR FL!

Would love to know the name of the movie that he refers to at the start of the talk.

Rapid cessation of psych meds can cause brain injury. (this risk increases after long use)
Very slow tapers are essential (cuts as percent of current dose, not original dose)
And after decades of use, cessation might be the wrong choice.

I was able to slowly taper off decades-long use of psych meds with the aid of amino acid supplements per the methods found in The Mood Cure book. Had to restart almost a decade later when life got to be too much again. I will try again when it seems doable. I wonder if anyone reading this knows anything about this use of amino acids to help brains recover from long term stress and medication use?

Mr. Blackk; if cessation is the wrong choice after decades of use, then having suicidal ideations while on psych meds must b the RIGHT CHOICE; RIGHT? When psych meds DO NOT ADDRESS/RESOLVES THE TRIGGERS (i.e.: primarily due 2 abuse, bullying, & harassment committed against some1 by other people) THAT CAUSE MENTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS, then I still must remain on my meds? U r SO FULL OF S--T that u need 2 visit me in Detroit, MI & TELL ME THIS FBS IN PERSON!!!!!! After 30+ different psych meds ovr a 40+ yr period b4 becoming psych med-free on 1/1/2017, I KNOW THAT I MADE THE CORRECT DECISION BY CEASING PSYCH MEDS!!!!!!
