Hello Steve. That is an awesome state park. Very small but beautiful. I got to stay there a few times and you can't beat a state park with a Buc-ees just up the road.

It was a very cool park. The park hosts there were really friendly. I like how they had their wood on the honor system. I think there was a fishing tournament going on that day. Pretty neat.

Hey Charlie. The civilian conservation Corp structures are always interesting. I have seen their work in every state park that I have been to. Pretty amazing. Hope you're doing well and keeping warm buddy. You did an excellent job with that Fort Griswold video.

That buzzard may get hungry and impatient and kill something 😆 watch out Dennis. Love the palmettos. Iron and high mineral content with a lack of limestone and high temperatures cause the red soil.

Hey buddy! I thought those legs were a good size for 50 cents. You have to consider that most people are just going to steal it anyway so they have to at least break even. I do like the fact that they even have the wood there. First time I have seen that in a Texas State Park. Hope you're doing well and keeping warm!

Good Morning Buddy! That tower on the well is the tank its full of water. My Mom was born in Gonzales. I can always tell buildings built by CCC guys, rock work all the same. They sure did a lot for Texas. I appreciate their efforts. Thanks for the awesome tour.

Lovely park, and different than I would've expected for Texas. Some of that reminds me of the Georgia coast, especially the moss which I love. Looks like a relaxing place to park an RV for a while. I'd have a lot of fun checking out all the trails. I've never seen a pump like that anywhere, so that's my "learned something new for the day". Thank you for sharing this nice trip! 😀
