Timesaves
• Crackhex adapted ToT's BLJ setup to work for this star (-2f)
• I was able to knock off all the bullies faster (-1f)
The ghost comparison only shows the BLJ setup to avoid confusion: it doesn't account for pause buffers so it would look faster in the second half.

I think I spent more time optimizing the dive grind quarter frames at the end than I did saving the frame.....

WHOA! That was insane. I also found it interesting that from the bully's POV, Mario's voice actually sounded higher pitched when he was farther away.
Yeah the camera distance has some weird effects on the sounds

really really good tas but the way the skybox moves makes me really nauseous for some reason idk why
It moves with the camera but it's too subtle to really notice normally.
Ive looked into ways to fix the skybox in place before but that hasn't worked out. I'll take another look at it for next time
This camera angle just feels extremely disorienting to me. Is there a version which just has the standard camera angle in game?
It's like it's moving around far too much. I'm too focused on trying to figure out what way I'm facing than on what mario is doing.
I added an unlisted version to the description. The arc shot at the beginning is definitely overkill. I like arc shots too much.
The jump cut at the end I felt was fine because it happens during a time when what Mario does is irrelevant (waiting for the big bully to spawn) but I never really thought about the effects a camera like this would have on a first impression (I have stared at this IL for too many hours). In the future I'll either keep it simple/pair it with slo-mo so it's easier to process.
I appreciate the feedback you have for these! Part of it is experimentation - I'll get better at it the more I try.
