Yes, this is useful. It must have take some effort to put together. New players must be grateful for the time put in. There are key points that are skipped. A guide is most useful for those who truly require guidance. Some thoughts for future videos. If warping some place or entering a new area, it is useful to actually show the direction one is required to travel. Stating "this thing is nearby" and skipping to a clip of one falling off an edge, gives little to no context as to where that thing is. Especially if it is off a cliff. taking a second to enter an area and point towards a landmark will go a long way and save new viewers much time trying to decipher direction.
This is a shorter version of an actual playthrough they creator has made. A beginner should def use the longer one but if you're experienced then this one is wonderfully sufficient.
You should probably update this guide. I'm now stuck inside volcano manor struggling to find a site of grace so I can get out. Dying just respawns me from where I started. EDIT: If you are stuck in volcano manor, die where Thingfishy does in the video after lifting the bridge. Once you respawn head left, you'll see an item surrounded by bats, keep heading that direction and enter a cave. Run past all the enemies and carefully scale your way down the cave. You will eventually come to a site of grace which will let you escape from this hellhole. EDIT: Site of Grace is at the very bottom of the Sellia Crystal Tunnel. Head left instead of right out of the shack you spawn in.
If you follow the guide, the way you get into Volcano Manor does not put you at a site of grace but at a dedicated spawn point. You will have to find a Site of Grace to leave of which there is one option hidden away.@@BastosFC2
You can also get another Golden Seed from the broken bridge leading to the Bellum Highway from the Raya Lucaria Academy Gate grace. Just walk past the area where you meet Yura, and the Seed will be further ahead. Very useful start-up guide, I'll say.

@@Thunderous333 To be fair, it took me a while too. It's on the OTHER side of the road and down a level or two. If it was "right there", it would be next to the cliffs by the grace, but it's not. Especially since the compass in the video shows him falling south, it would make sense that it's there but it's not. So maybe try just being helpful to the guy instead of just immediately being a dick.
Hey, just letting you know that I got 97k runes from Greyoll with the golden fowl - you might have popped it too late. The buff lasts for 3 minutes so I used it at the 20% mark. Likewise, my blood grease lasted for the entire encounter. EDIT: Whatever the case, thank you so much for putting this guide together! I watched through this before following your play-along video. It looks like 64k at the start, but the extra is added on from the fowl foot a few seconds later. As long as you pop the fowl foot before you receive the 64k, you’re fine. Thanks for watching!
@@ThingfishyGaming Just as a point of interest, that's not what's happening at Greyoll. Greyoll's worth around 52K. You get your 20% bonus from the fowl foot to take her to ~64K. The extra ~32K you get a couple seconds later is from the 5 or 6 dragonlings around Greyoll, all of whom perish right after Greyoll does. If you kill Greyoll without a fowl foot, you'll still get the delayed runes from the dragonlings dying, but your total will be more like 78K.

5:34 use that spirit spring to jump on top of the Giant White skull. There are goodies on top. 6:22 there is a golden seed at the bottom of the bridge. Also you will want to invade for the Raptors of Mist ash of war.
You failed to mentioned that once you're taken by the Abductor Maiden at the Academy and she transports you to Volcano Manor that you're now trapped and can't get out without finding a bonfire. In your video, you just jump into the lava and die after getting the stones and you go to Limgrave only you can't do that unless you have a bonfire somewhere in Volcano Manor but you don't show where you go to get that after connecting the bridge. Been stuck here looking for a d*mn bonfire :D
for those looking for bonefire: at the start point I went a bit forward and then left, into the cave. At the end of underground tunnel there is bonefire.
What he does is walk up to the seal to North of the grace and examine it - this teleports him to Bellam Highwya / East Raya Lucaria Gate - this warp is in the video, but I missed it too initially.
One way to get some more runes (118k+) from killing Greyoll is to kill the 2 Cleanrot knights in the Abandoned Cave in Caelid for the golden scarab talisman first. It’s actually feasible if you level up the spirit ashes and have decent damage. Sorcerers can spam rock sling for an easy win, faith users can likewise use black flame. It’s definitely worth getting as you can swap to that talisman when you beat bosses to get a little bonus, really adds up.
Oh and for 2 more Golden Seeds: go back to Stormhill shack after Roderika moves to Roundtable hold and there’ll be one there. Also buy Rya’s necklace, then meet her in Altus at the grand lift to get warped to Volcano Manor then just grab the one just outside.
Figured this out today while following this (tried to from memory anyways); after getting the Sacred Tear from Callu Church, instead of dying to reset, you can go to the cliffside and look for the Torrent jumping wellspring that's left of the bridge. There's a small cliff a little lower you can fall down to and take some minor fall damage, and if you time your jump off it right, you can hit the wellspring hitbox, land in the valley below, and then jump up to the other side of the bridge without having to die and take the longer away around! Going by the in-game map, the wellspring is roughly north-west of the Ailing Village icon!
This guide is good and bad at the same time. It's not very descriptive. Go to the such and such. For a newbie where is the such and such? An extra 10 mins showing where you're telling us to go would have helped a lot.
as someone who never played this game and followed this route it’s pretty hard to follow, however if you js listen closely to his terminology and watch his compass it’s pretty easy to do.
Nice guide! For Greyoll, I find the flail found at the ruins near where you first encounter Melina to be a more convenient weapon to kill him with. With the ash of war, you can just keep spinning the flail until you run out of stamina. I don't know if the bleeds proc faster, but it's more braindead than with the morning star or uchigatana, and you can even use the ash of war once you've run out of focus (you just do less damage per hit, but it still procs bleed).
@@TimothyGod Right. You need 18 dex to use that flail, which is more than any class has starting out with. Some people may need to two hand the morning star, but that's it.
@@imfuckingtired2835 any class can wield the morning star without leveling up by equipping Radagon’s Soreseal. The scarab out in front of Margit’s bossroom drops the Wild Strikes ash of war, which when put on the Morning Star can operate similarly to the spinning of the flail.
all of the jump cuts make it hard to keep track of where everything is like you go out the north gate of lucaria and hit the nearby spirit spring. bruh where is it

@@ThingfishyGaming I agree with these guys. I've platinumed the game and I still don't know where anything is when you cut out all the pathing. I understand why you do it, and I think there's a LOT of value to it, and it's probably extremely difficult for you to juggle the video duration with the friendliness of the guide, but... Elden Ring is HUGE. Give the players a chance to geolocate themselves a bit more. For example, I was at the northern Raya Lucaria portal, and you just jumped off a cliff saying "go to the nearby jumpy pad." I always look at the compass to help me in quick vids like this, but for that one, I ran up and down the wrong cliff for like 5 minutes looking down to find the damn landing zone. And it was on the other side. Because I'm definitely smart. :) That part skipped so much info that it was a teeny bit misleading. It was really nearby, but it would've helped if you'd've said "to the EAST", lol! Regardless, amazing guides, I'm building a perfect savefile and backing it up for more builds thanks to how generally in-depth and understandable these builds are. The more we play, the lesser it's confusing, of course. You're a legend, keep it up
A few more easy golden seeds: Selia, town of sorcery: just below the church of plague, should be some tombstones to get down there (I think), or use the teleporter chest in limgrave and hook a left at the exit. Dodge the mages Kenneth Haight, West of the Third Church of Marika: if you dont care about completing Nepheli's questline, you can boop him off the rubble and he will drop one Hogwarts, south of the bellum exit: Fishy mentioned he didn't put this one in the video, but after entering Hogwarts, before leaving through the bellum exit, go past it. Mt Gelmir: this is a trek, but go NW from the dectus lift into Gelmir (exploding lake area) and there's a seed along the path. Roderika: go back to the stormhill shack grace and Roderika should have left one behind, OR talk to her in the roundtable hold. Dunno if you have to talk to her previously or not.
Good Vid. The only issues I had was I when you get to the volcano manor portion. If you allow yourself to be captured and teleported there, and you also have any runes, you will loose them. It is possible, I think to get them back but you will need to find a Site of Grace. Also, when jumping from the ledge point into the lave.. once you hit the lava.. use your healing flask right away. If you don' t you will die quick. I had to run around to find a site the Guest Hall site of Grace but due to the lava jump, I had died so I ended up loosing a lot of runes.
For those that are still asking about Somber Stone 4 and 7. Copy and pasted from my reply to someone's comment. "Somber 7 is an interesting one in the fact that you'd either need to wrongwarp to Crumbling Farum Azula, zip glitch or parkour master a jump in Volcano Manor (which you can get to early from the pit (Abductor Virgin) in Raya Lucaria), or get into Leyndell Capital. Any of which would extend this route by 30-45 minutes or more, maybe less if you know what you're doing. I know, it's crazy that 1-6 and 8-9 are so easy, but 7 is a pain is the butt to get. Thankfully, at a +6 somber weapon, both Margit and Godrick go down with ease, and Rennala and Radagon Wolf become pretty easy too. After that, you can get into Leyndell, go down to the Shunning Grounds, drop off the pipes into the pit with the crawfish, and grab the +7 down there to finish it off until after Godskin Duo, or the various questlines that give an ancient somber dragon smithing stone. " Somber 4 is much easier to get. Just head to the top left of Liurnia of the Lakes, past the ruins next to the map segment. Jump at the wall at the back left of the ruins and it will disappear. You will see a grace to the right, and Iji to the left. Iji sells sombers 1-4, although 3-4 are limited. SHORTCUT TO IJI -- From Laskyar Ruins grace, go on the left of the path next to the grace to the gazebo with the waygate, which will take you straight to the south Raya Lucaria gate. Grab the grace in front of you when you spawn in, then turn around, and hop on Torrent. Run down the ramp, and turn left onto the outside balcony of the pathway (behind the trees on the left from the grace), run around the corner, turn left again and jump off the balcony onto the top of the roof down below. Now run in the clearing (between the buildings) into the opens waters and you will see another gazebo with a waygate. This waygate will take you to the map segment and ruins stated above, and just follow the instructions from there.
I will say that grabbing the red hot whetblade before going up the lift of dectus can be a smart move if you plan to use infuse-able weapons and want fire as an option.
It's pretty crazy to me that you can get everything but a somber 7 without fighting a single boss. There are no somber 7s available before areas that are locked behind bosses, Otherwise I'm sure this route would get you all the way to a +9 somber weapon.
@@Nat0ri0us You can actually still JUST make that jump. I did it the other day but it literally took me like a straight 30 minutes of trying and I made it by like a pixel. So you *_can_* still pull it off, but prepare to be there a while unless you're just like super lucky or something.
With sleep pots and a +0 uchikatana or bloodhounds fang… it is not hard to beat the Noble solo… between bleed procs and stance breaks he’s actually not bad and a decent player can beat him in about 5 attempts I’d say… especially if you get your weapon to +12 or +5 then it gets a lot easier… then you can have a +9 weapon before Margot
6:26 This part is really confusing me. I don't see any accessible rocks to jump from on the bellum highway. Only a lot of death. e: Oh, it turns out that I am very dumb. The play-along helped a ton. I had no idea that sigil was a teleporter to the actual highway.
You could actually get a Somber stone 4 next to The Ravine site of grace. It's on a chair guy to the south west of it, on the way to the intelligence knot tear. Also, there's no somber 7 in this guide? or am I missing something?
There is no somber 7 in this guide, he tells you it only takes you to plus 6. In order to get a somber stone 7 you'll either have to abuse glitches or beat at least one boss.
Okay so basically you just have to rest at a site of grace, watch where he goes in his full play along. It’s stupid he didn’t mention it but thankfully it’s not hard to get to
Only thing I have to complain about the guide is the spirit spring shit. You fast forward like 20 seconds and then I’m like well fuck where is this damn thing I need to jump down. Spend next 10-20 minutes figuring it out lol
Nice Guide. A bit more involved than my own personal route with the regular smithing stones, which is nice to see, since I think I only manage to find up making a +7 regular weapon. But also want to point out that you can actually get a Somber 4 fairly close to where you pick up the Somber 3 in Liunia. A bit north from the Somber 3 is a little forrest/inlet with a Somber 4 sitting in a chair. It's west of "The Ravine" grace if it helps better with locating it. But again, nice job on the guide.
It's worth noting that if you want 2 extra smithing stone 4s, start from raya lucaria schoolhouse classroom, walk south through the archway, take a left, walk into the room to the east, walk to the book shelf you'll inevitably hit, and roll into it, revealing a small secret area with 2 smithing stone 4s I think

I just learned that you can farm the dragon indefinitely if you return to the site of grace just in time. It'll respawn. Edit: Be sure to kill it while on Torrent during the last hit and sprint to the grace, should be easy.
I saw the play along but it’s a bit difficult for someone starting the game for the first time. Not much labels of graces or areas to visit so it’s easy to get lost, but the info is valid

So much of the magic in Elden Ring is exploring and discovering things for yourself. It was the best and most memorable first playthrough of any game I’ve ever played and I’d do anything to experience it again for the first time without knowing anything. So please just jump into the game and figure stuff out as you go. I’ve done plenty of boss guides, and there are thousands of videos by other creators about everything mechanic or boss in the game. So if you get stuck, watch guides as you go. But I’d beg you not to watch follow along guides or full game build guides as the first blind playthrough is just so special. you gotta stop cutting and skipping to the destination of each item. for beginners we would like to see you walk to the item in its full route. if time is an issue just speed up the video please. it made looking for each item even harder
For those who don't know, you can farm Greyoll over and over. start hacking away at him and then right before he dies, mount your trusty steed then keep attacking until he dies, then book it back to the fort site of grace. infinite early runes for any character, it may just take a while starting out but just find a bleed weapon and you're good. I tried this yesterday and it still works with 1.08 (Jan-9-2023) Also when you are at the Site for Lucaria Academy there's another golden seed on the broken bridge to the East. im not sure if im doing the volcano manor section wrong but im not able to port out after raising the bridge. ive been backtracking and making a small jump around a ledge to get to the guest hall grace to be able to teleport. either way its not really an inconvenience and i still use this rout for all my characters. love the video!

I've been playing elden Ring since launch and have been following some great UA-camrs but I have to say this by far the best guide for the first part of the game.. truly appreciate it
Personal recommendation, pick up wild strikes in front of the run up to Margit. Put it on the Morning Star and use wild strikes to kill Greyoll. It is faster, and you don't have to spam an attack button, so it's easier on your hand.
I got stuck in the volcano manor, I didn't know that you can't get out of there normally. If this is a beginner's guide, it would be nice to explain how to get out of there.

It helps if you roll into the spell. Hit the dodge button when the projectile is a distance away that equals you characters height and you should safely move through it.

@@Thunderous333 To be fair, it took me a while too. It's on the OTHER side of the road and down a level or two. If it was "right there", it would be next to the cliffs by the grace, but it's not. Especially since the compass in the video shows him falling south, it would make sense that it's there but it's not.
So maybe try just being helpful to the guy instead of just immediately being a dick.

Hey, just letting you know that I got 97k runes from Greyoll with the golden fowl - you might have popped it too late. The buff lasts for 3 minutes so I used it at the 20% mark. Likewise, my blood grease lasted for the entire encounter.

It looks like 64k at the start, but the extra is added on from the fowl foot a few seconds later. As long as you pop the fowl foot before you receive the 64k, you’re fine. Thanks for watching!
@@ThingfishyGaming Just as a point of interest, that's not what's happening at Greyoll. Greyoll's worth around 52K. You get your 20% bonus from the fowl foot to take her to ~64K. The extra ~32K you get a couple seconds later is from the 5 or 6 dragonlings around Greyoll, all of whom perish right after Greyoll does. If you kill Greyoll without a fowl foot, you'll still get the delayed runes from the dragonlings dying, but your total will be more like 78K.

6:22 there is a golden seed at the bottom of the bridge. Also you will want to invade for the Raptors of Mist ash of war.
You failed to mentioned that once you're taken by the Abductor Maiden at the Academy and she transports you to Volcano Manor that you're now trapped and can't get out without finding a bonfire. In your video, you just jump into the lava and die after getting the stones and you go to Limgrave only you can't do that unless you have a bonfire somewhere in Volcano Manor but you don't show where you go to get that after connecting the bridge. Been stuck here looking for a d*mn bonfire :D
for those looking for bonefire: at the start point I went a bit forward and then left, into the cave. At the end of underground tunnel there is bonefire.

What he does is walk up to the seal to North of the grace and examine it - this teleports him to Bellam Highwya / East Raya Lucaria Gate - this warp is in the video, but I missed it too initially.

One way to get some more runes (118k+) from killing Greyoll is to kill the 2 Cleanrot knights in the Abandoned Cave in Caelid for the golden scarab talisman first. It’s actually feasible if you level up the spirit ashes and have decent damage. Sorcerers can spam rock sling for an easy win, faith users can likewise use black flame.
It’s definitely worth getting as you can swap to that talisman when you beat bosses to get a little bonus, really adds up.
Oh and for 2 more Golden Seeds: go back to Stormhill shack after Roderika moves to Roundtable hold and there’ll be one there. Also buy Rya’s necklace, then meet her in Altus at the grand lift to get warped to Volcano Manor then just grab the one just outside.
Figured this out today while following this (tried to from memory anyways); after getting the Sacred Tear from Callu Church, instead of dying to reset, you can go to the cliffside and look for the Torrent jumping wellspring that's left of the bridge. There's a small cliff a little lower you can fall down to and take some minor fall damage, and if you time your jump off it right, you can hit the wellspring hitbox, land in the valley below, and then jump up to the other side of the bridge without having to die and take the longer away around! Going by the in-game map, the wellspring is roughly north-west of the Ailing Village icon!
This guide is good and bad at the same time. It's not very descriptive. Go to the such and such. For a newbie where is the such and such? An extra 10 mins showing where you're telling us to go would have helped a lot.

as someone who never played this game and followed this route it’s pretty hard to follow, however if you js listen closely to his terminology and watch his compass it’s pretty easy to do.

For Greyoll, I find the flail found at the ruins near where you first encounter Melina to be a more convenient weapon to kill him with. With the ash of war, you can just keep spinning the flail until you run out of stamina. I don't know if the bleeds proc faster, but it's more braindead than with the morning star or uchigatana, and you can even use the ash of war once you've run out of focus (you just do less damage per hit, but it still procs bleed).
But you must be able to wield it to cause bleed I've learned
@@TimothyGod Right. You need 18 dex to use that flail, which is more than any class has starting out with. Some people may need to two hand the morning star, but that's it.

The scarab out in front of Margit’s bossroom drops the Wild Strikes ash of war, which when put on the Morning Star can operate similarly to the spinning of the flail.
6:23 if you bypass the seal (before going through it) there is another Golden Seed to be collected further along the broken bridge.
all of the jump cuts make it hard to keep track of where everything is like you go out the north gate of lucaria and hit the nearby spirit spring. bruh where is it

I understand why you do it, and I think there's a LOT of value to it, and it's probably extremely difficult for you to juggle the video duration with the friendliness of the guide, but...
Elden Ring is HUGE. Give the players a chance to geolocate themselves a bit more. For example, I was at the northern Raya Lucaria portal, and you just jumped off a cliff saying "go to the nearby jumpy pad." I always look at the compass to help me in quick vids like this, but for that one, I ran up and down the wrong cliff for like 5 minutes looking down to find the damn landing zone. And it was on the other side. Because I'm definitely smart. :) That part skipped so much info that it was a teeny bit misleading. It was really nearby, but it would've helped if you'd've said "to the EAST", lol!
Regardless, amazing guides, I'm building a perfect savefile and backing it up for more builds thanks to how generally in-depth and understandable these builds are. The more we play, the lesser it's confusing, of course. You're a legend, keep it up

Selia, town of sorcery: just below the church of plague, should be some tombstones to get down there (I think), or use the teleporter chest in limgrave and hook a left at the exit. Dodge the mages
Kenneth Haight, West of the Third Church of Marika: if you dont care about completing Nepheli's questline, you can boop him off the rubble and he will drop one
Hogwarts, south of the bellum exit: Fishy mentioned he didn't put this one in the video, but after entering Hogwarts, before leaving through the bellum exit, go past it.
Mt Gelmir: this is a trek, but go NW from the dectus lift into Gelmir (exploding lake area) and there's a seed along the path.
Roderika: go back to the stormhill shack grace and Roderika should have left one behind, OR talk to her in the roundtable hold. Dunno if you have to talk to her previously or not.
I wish you would give us more directions rather than 90% of the travel
Good Vid. The only issues I had was I when you get to the volcano manor portion. If you allow yourself to be captured and teleported there, and you also have any runes, you will loose them. It is possible, I think to get them back but you will need to find a Site of Grace. Also, when jumping from the ledge point into the lave.. once you hit the lava.. use your healing flask right away. If you don' t you will die quick. I had to run around to find a site the Guest Hall site of Grace but due to the lava jump, I had died so I ended up loosing a lot of runes.
For those that are still asking about Somber Stone 4 and 7. Copy and pasted from my reply to someone's comment. "Somber 7 is an interesting one in the fact that you'd either need to wrongwarp to Crumbling Farum Azula, zip glitch or parkour master a jump in Volcano Manor (which you can get to early from the pit (Abductor Virgin) in Raya Lucaria), or get into Leyndell Capital. Any of which would extend this route by 30-45 minutes or more, maybe less if you know what you're doing. I know, it's crazy that 1-6 and 8-9 are so easy, but 7 is a pain is the butt to get. Thankfully, at a +6 somber weapon, both Margit and Godrick go down with ease, and Rennala and Radagon Wolf become pretty easy too. After that, you can get into Leyndell, go down to the Shunning Grounds, drop off the pipes into the pit with the crawfish, and grab the +7 down there to finish it off until after Godskin Duo, or the various questlines that give an ancient somber dragon smithing stone.
" Somber 4 is much easier to get. Just head to the top left of Liurnia of the Lakes, past the ruins next to the map segment. Jump at the wall at the back left of the ruins and it will disappear. You will see a grace to the right, and Iji to the left. Iji sells sombers 1-4, although 3-4 are limited. SHORTCUT TO IJI -- From Laskyar Ruins grace, go on the left of the path next to the grace to the gazebo with the waygate, which will take you straight to the south Raya Lucaria gate. Grab the grace in front of you when you spawn in, then turn around, and hop on Torrent. Run down the ramp, and turn left onto the outside balcony of the pathway (behind the trees on the left from the grace), run around the corner, turn left again and jump off the balcony onto the top of the roof down below. Now run in the clearing (between the buildings) into the opens waters and you will see another gazebo with a waygate. This waygate will take you to the map segment and ruins stated above, and just follow the instructions from there.

I will say that grabbing the red hot whetblade before going up the lift of dectus can be a smart move if you plan to use infuse-able weapons and want fire as an option.
It's pretty crazy to me that you can get everything but a somber 7 without fighting a single boss. There are no somber 7s available before areas that are locked behind bosses, Otherwise I'm sure this route would get you all the way to a +9 somber weapon.
it used to be possible before they patched the bridge jump in the volcano manor
@@Nat0ri0us You can actually still JUST make that jump. I did it the other day but it literally took me like a straight 30 minutes of trying and I made it by like a pixel. So you *_can_* still pull it off, but prepare to be there a while unless you're just like super lucky or something.
You could wrong warp to crumbling to get smithing stone 7 or zip to the ledge
With sleep pots and a +0 uchikatana or bloodhounds fang… it is not hard to beat the Noble solo… between bleed procs and stance breaks he’s actually not bad and a decent player can beat him in about 5 attempts I’d say… especially if you get your weapon to +12 or +5 then it gets a lot easier… then you can have a +9 weapon before Margot

You could actually get a Somber stone 4 next to The Ravine site of grace. It's on a chair guy to the south west of it, on the way to the intelligence knot tear. Also, there's no somber 7 in this guide? or am I missing something?
There is no somber 7 in this guide, he tells you it only takes you to plus 6. In order to get a somber stone 7 you'll either have to abuse glitches or beat at least one boss.
there is also a scarab to the right, before the bridge in northern caelid containing a somber stone 9

Okay so basically you just have to rest at a site of grace, watch where he goes in his full play along. It’s stupid he didn’t mention it but thankfully it’s not hard to get to

Nice Guide. A bit more involved than my own personal route with the regular smithing stones, which is nice to see, since I think I only manage to find up making a +7 regular weapon. But also want to point out that you can actually get a Somber 4 fairly close to where you pick up the Somber 3 in Liunia. A bit north from the Somber 3 is a little forrest/inlet with a Somber 4 sitting in a chair. It's west of "The Ravine" grace if it helps better with locating it.
But again, nice job on the guide.
This is helpful, but there's a lot of cuts where you're like "then go here" with zero info on how. Like the armour set or the lift.

It's worth noting that if you want 2 extra smithing stone 4s, start from raya lucaria schoolhouse classroom, walk south through the archway, take a left, walk into the room to the east, walk to the book shelf you'll inevitably hit, and roll into it, revealing a small secret area with 2 smithing stone 4s I think

I just learned that you can farm the dragon indefinitely if you return to the site of grace just in time. It'll respawn.
Edit: Be sure to kill it while on Torrent during the last hit and sprint to the grace, should be easy.

So much of the magic in Elden Ring is exploring and discovering things for yourself. It was the best and most memorable first playthrough of any game I’ve ever played and I’d do anything to experience it again for the first time without knowing anything. So please just jump into the game and figure stuff out as you go. I’ve done plenty of boss guides, and there are thousands of videos by other creators about everything mechanic or boss in the game. So if you get stuck, watch guides as you go. But I’d beg you not to watch follow along guides or full game build guides as the first blind playthrough is just so special. Ngl as a new elden ring player it took me like 3 hours but I’m finally finished and ready to start progressing 🙏
For those who don't know, you can farm Greyoll over and over. start hacking away at him and then right before he dies, mount your trusty steed then keep attacking until he dies, then book it back to the fort site of grace. infinite early runes for any character, it may just take a while starting out but just find a bleed weapon and you're good. I tried this yesterday and it still works with 1.08 (Jan-9-2023)
Also when you are at the Site for Lucaria Academy there's another golden seed on the broken bridge to the East. Great vid! thanks for the tips

You missed a somber stone 6, it's after the surprise clayman up the ladder turn around to cross the little bridge and loot the body
im not sure if im doing the volcano manor section wrong but im not able to port out after raising the bridge. ive been backtracking and making a small jump around a ledge to get to the guest hall grace to be able to teleport. either way its not really an inconvenience and i still use this rout for all my characters. love the video!

Personal recommendation, pick up wild strikes in front of the run up to Margit. Put it on the Morning Star and use wild strikes to kill Greyoll. It is faster, and you don't have to spam an attack button, so it's easier on your hand.
It can also be used on any starting class without leveling up by equipping Radagon’s Soreseal.
I got stuck in the volcano manor, I didn't know that you can't get out of there normally. If this is a beginner's guide, it would be nice to explain how to get out of there.

It helps if you roll into the spell. Hit the dodge button when the projectile is a distance away that equals you characters height and you should safely move through it.
