Bruce was THE man. Total legend.
The last Dragon
EXCEPT CHUCK NORRIS COULD HAVE BEAT HIS ASS ALREADY AT THIS YOUNG AGE!
@@flowingzoning2142 do some research dude. You have no idea what your talking about
@@flowingzoning2142 what the hell 😂 do some research buddy
@@flowingzoning2142 Bruce gave chuck a career. Chuck was too slow to even hit Bruce
Bruce Lee is the best Martial Artist of all time. He's was way ahead of his time. Master Yip Man trained Bruce Lee. Bruce ended up surpassing his teacher. Yip Man was able to see alot of Bruce's impact on the world, before Yip passed away. Bruce would need up dying year later, in 1973. Unfortunately, Bruce did not live to see the greater impact he made on the world, because he died shortly after he made the great Martial Arts film - Enter the Dragon. Enter the Dragon was the first Martial Arts film backed by a major Hollywood studio. So, Bruce changed the way humans looked at Chinese men, Martial Arts and ones commitment to their craft. The Martial Arts blew up in a big way, thanks to Bruce's efforts. You had many Martial Arts schools open up in America. Dana White (Owner of the UFC) stated, "Without Bruce Lee, there is no MMA. Bruce did this first.) Bruce Lee created his own fighting philosophy/ Martial Art known as Jeet Kune Do. A system of fighting that allows the practitioner to explore who they are and what would be the best way for that person to fight. Jeet Kune Do is made up of many techniques from different fighting styles, to create the ultimate self defense system. It's crazy how Bruce Lee and his Master Yip died on e year apart from each other. Master Yip 1972, Bruce Lee 1973. May both of them R.I.P.
TERRANCE OUT
Periodt
Sad that after Yip Man passed, Bruce passed 8 months later in July 3 weeks before the release of Enter The Dragon.
Chuck Norris' character didn't do anything to Bruce Lee's character to cause the fight, he was hired by the mafia to drive Bruce Lee's character out of town.
Let me tell you something...in the movie theater in 1972 it was standing room only in the theater...when Bruce got up and started dancing on his toes everybody in the theater went bat shit crazy...cause he was imitating Muhammad Ali!!
I heard that many kids after the movie were outside in the street imitating Bruce Lee's moves.
FUN FACT: The Cat represents Bruce Lee during the fight, for example around 7:12 the cat is playing with a rock, signifying that Bruce Lee is toying with Chuck Norris.
It’s such a awesome Symbolism
this was Chuck Norris' very first time on screen, and he was invited by Bruce Lee to be on it
@@wolfmanfan82 REALLY?
@@wolfmanfan82 too funny!
Chuck wasnt Bruce Lees first choice. Joe Lewis (the kick boxer) was supposed to be in the role. But Bruce and Joe had a falling out.
@@videomaster8580 I have Chuck's autobiography, and he said that when he met up with Bruce about the movie, Chuck had just won Karate Champion of the World, and Chuck asked Bruce, "So you want to beat up the Karate Champ?"
Bruce said, "Nope, I'm going to KILL the Karate Champ!" LOL
@@kingscorpion7346 Bruce didn't do things by half! lol.
I have seen this movie hundreds of times. As a teen I was inspired by Bruce Lee movies to study martial arts. My Dad enrolled my brother and I at Chuck Norris Karate studios in Beverly Hills. He actually came through one of our classes and walked across our stomach during a kiai drill. 💯💯💯 He taught Tang Soo Do at that time.
That said Bruce was the man! I went on to study and teach martial arts in many disciplines and appreciate Bruce's philosophy of not being beholden to one particular form / style. This scene shows the need to adapt to the situation using multiple skills. Chuck could not adapt. Glad to see people appreciate these movies and martial artist.
Not Chuck,but his hero!
Chuck Norris is a multi time karate world champ and holds many blackbelts in a variety of disciplines.
Lee pulling Noris's hair and biting folks too in some movies reveals that though he is Martial artist he is a Raw Fighter too
Exactly well said
Ip Man died of Laryngeal cancer
on December 2, 1972 Bruce Lee died sometime after a year later of Cerebral edema
in July 20, 1973 so they both kept in contact shortly before they both died RIP. 🙏🎞⏱
I feel like the cat in this iconic scene is serving as both the referee for the fight and it's also controlling the fighters.
These two legends met in NYC at a martial arts tournament. They worked out together for several years in LA and were good friends. Bruce, Chuck, Steve McQueen, and Bob Wall were all friends.
The part when bruce grab chuck belt an gi an coved him up was a poignant part of the movie an in real life " respect for a fellow warrior"
In the film, Chuck Norris played a hired martial artist named Colt whom the crime bosses in the movie hired to deal with Lee.
I’m glad you noticed the choreography on the fight. Even though modern filmmaking has improved stunts and camera angles, This fight, despite its apparent simplicity, is a masterpiece; in fact, you might say it’s simplicity reveals its genius, allows the choreography to stand out. After Lee‘s character gets beat down by Norris‘s character,The music shifts tempo to signify not only a change in momentum, but a change in tactics. Lee’s martial arts philosophy was always about adaptability. In the beginning of the fight, both fighters squared off in wide base stances, common in martial arts because the Wide base emphasizes balance. However when the music starts at a high tempo, Lee is bouncing his feet adopting western boxing/fencing to deal with Norris’ skill. Lee emphasizes evasiveness In the next sequence, toying with Norris, and we see the cat toying with the pebble.
I could go onAnd discuss the next music shift, the of use silence in the fight, etc. but I think I’ve made my point
Facts
Bruce Lee had so much vision as a kid in his teens watching this fight scene for the first time in the seventies it was just all action to me ,but as a man pushing 63 years of age today he,s an inspirational point of light in the magnitude of the human condition.
What's interesting about this scene is it wasn't choreographed like every other movie. Bruce and Chuck knew each other so well that they just discussed what techniques Bruce wanted to do and what techniques he wanted Chuck to use. They just put it together on set. It was closer to a light sparring session.
You made it excellent my friend.
@@heartfanjim01 Chuck era Alumno de Bruce Lee, en si es una pelea Alumno vs Maestro.
I am grateful you reviewed this clip and your comment "on point" is absolutely on point. Both of these martial artists were at the top of their game and to SELL this on film was masterful. Kudos to Chuck and Bruce for choreographing this staged fight. To date I have not seen any martial art film top this.
the moves in this fight are 100% legit, they might look funny because it's exaggerated and the camera work is outdated but i assure you they are real moves. the jabs, leg checks, fakes and leg kicks are used in ufc today. you can actually learn how to fight just by watching this clip
Right. Thats why I get frustrated when people say Bruce was just an actor. The fact that these moves are used in modern day UFC just proves Bruce Lee was decades ahead of his time.
@@Mason-jb3hl so true. Even Joe Rogan, like him or hate him, said the way Bruce moves and knows what would and wouldn't work,he definitely did aot of sparring. He said the way Bruce is fking him up is alot like the way someone at a high level in the UFC is fking someone up. He definitely was more than just an actor.
First guy to mention Bruce's fake outs and set ups.!
Some of the moves maybe, but what the UFC taught everyone today was that traditional martial arts has little place on the streets. All the black belt fighters aside from jujitsu were weeded out fairly quickly and replaced with mma.
@@NJTransit1985 That's exactly what Bruce taught. That's why he called the traditional aesthetic martial arts the "classical mess."
ITs great to see people reacting to Bruce and appreciating his craft and how he influenced the world!
12:00 To this day, I still love this shot of Lee, as if he's asking "Why did you make me do this, man?"
What you have to understand is one of many reasons Bruce Lee's movies were so realistic was although he tried not hit his stunt men. He actually did them. Ask Jackie Chan, Samo Hung etc, and Chuck Norris was a student of Bruce Lee.
Watch interviews with the late, great Bob Wall.
Grew up on these movies it's very refreshing to see it thru young people's eyes who never seen it
Keep them Ip Man and Bruce Lee videos coming!!!! Love ya guys!
It would have been cool to see Chuck Norris in Enter the Dragon playing John Saxons part(mr. Roper) I like John but Chuck, Bruce and Jim Kelly all on the same side would have been great especially when Chuck would have had to fight Bolo.
Bruce and Chuck were friends and they taught each other their respective martial arts. Like someone else said that Bruce invited Chuck to be in the film. If you get a chance to see the documentary called I Am Bruce Lee you will see different people talking about Bruce.
Chuck Norris was the world karate champion turned actor and played in movies like - Lone Wolf McQuade , Code Of Silence and T.V. show Walker Texas Ranger and also trained with Bruce Lee in real life .
The part where Bruce Lee broke his hand was so quick that you gotta play it at x0.25 speed to see what he did.
Your next reaction should be Game of Death Original footage!! This includes the battle between Bruce and Kareem Abdul Jabar
Bruce the king the legend the best in history forever the talk is over forever 🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳😏😏👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊🤫🤫🤫🤫💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
dude Bruce was born in san Fran not China or hk
Chuck Norris was playing the henchmen of the main villain and it was the first major role for Chuck Norris after a very small part in a Dean Martin Matt Helm film called the Wrecking Crew (which Bruce Lee also choreographed)
Bruce lee studied wingchun at a young age by master yipman also known as Ipman so some of the fight scenes has wingchun in it
The one and only time Chuck Norris played a villain in a movie.
she’s a keeper, I really enjoyed both your commentaries
La velocidad de Bruce Lee era muchisima , ni en la actualidad no ahy videos de peliculas con tal velocidad en golpes
Bruce Lee is from America.
Well, he was born in America but he was raised in Hong Kong until he was 18.
I've never seen this movie. Oooo that kick to Chuck's knee came through the screen! Why am I rubbing my knee like I'm hurt? Bruce Lee had us all thinking we're Martial Arts experts. I love me some Bruce Lee! ♥️💐👑🥋
Great video guys, well done.
Great movie. Bruce Lee himself directed this movie. The moment Bruce Lee started hopping around that's when he started using Jeet Kune Do. Bruce Lee got that hopping movement from watching Muhammad Ali fights. I miss doing my Jeet Kune Do classes. Haha
Chuck Norris got his ass whip
The reason behind the cat ordeal was they was using it as the signal to start the fight
Keep reacting to Bruce lee you won’t be disappointed and keep up the good work👍👍👍👍👍
More to come!
Bruce directed this film 📽️ & was actually filmed at the Colosseum!👍
Martial arts is like a chess game you have to think three steps ahead
Mean reaction, I enjoyed this. I have watched many but you both had the respect to watch and enjoy. Chur
He gave him a warriors death and honored him in the end respect..
If I remember correctly, at the time this movie was being filmed, Chuck Norris was actually the world martial arts champion at the time, in real life. Bruce had called Norris & told him that he wanted him to do a fight scene with him in this movie, Norris made a joke to Bruce tellin him something Along the lines of "and who's gonna win in this scene?" To which Bruce replied "me of course, it's my movie" & Norris told him "ahhhh, so you just want me in the scene so you can brag about how you beat the world martial arts champion" & Bruce Lee just laughed lol
Bruce only beats Chuck when the script allows it.
This is before the IP man movies! IP man was Bruce lees trainer in china
Y’all should react to Jackie Chan’s Police Story 2: Playground Fight. The fight choreography is 👌
This movie was his frist he directed w a mixture of comedy , mix marital arts real fighters N styles, lara 621 found it .
This movie was released in 1973. Pre Walker: Texas Ranger!
React to undisputed fight boyka vs turbo
This JULY THE 20th it Will BE 50 YEARS AGO THE GREATEST Marsial artist WHO EVER lived died 😔
Bruce was trained by lots of people including chuck still one of the best fight scenes I've seen i compare all fight scenes to this one
I've watched Bruce Lee's fight scenes many times. It was only recent that I've see people like yourself noticed parts of his fight scenes that are so subtle and fast that it was easily missed, like the scene where you said he feign a kick @ 8:06 before kicking Chuck in the face.
I don't know how far you studied back into Bruce Lee. But the Wing Chun originated from a Buddhist nun named Ng Mui. The fighting system was named after the nun's first student, Yim Wing Chun. A bully was trying to marry Ms. Wing Chun so the nun taught her how to fight. There's even a movie about it called Wing Chun (2010).

You ever watch that HBO Max series Warrior? Andrew Koji who plays the main character Ah Sahm is really good with Nunchucks.
You both are phenomenal. ❤
Do those two know that fighting screen with Bruce and Chuck was for real.
no it wasnt
Bruce lee fought Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan in one of his movies when they were younger..
You guys are hilarious!!! Cmon the hairy chest was the the thing in 1972!! C'mon Chuck you fighting another man...LOL!! I'm dead!!
Bruce Lee learned Wing Chun from Master Ip Man. Years later Bruce came up with own martial art Jeet Kune Do. When Bruce first asked Chuck if wanted to be in this movie. Chuck said "Oh, you want to beat up the world champion kickboxer." Bruce said "No, I want to kill the world champion kickboxer." Chuck said "Ok Bruce I'll do it." Chuck's first movie and if want to see more Chuck Norris at one of his absolute best scenes ever. Watch Walker, Texas Ranger: Rise to the Occasion episode. Definitely one best episodes of the entire series in my opinion.
Muito bom (Rio de janeiro Brazil)👏👏👏👏
I heard that the part in slow motion was them actually sparring for real unrehearsed. That's why they put it in slow motion.
I'm still getting goosebumps, when that drumbeat starts to play.
Ip man was Bruce first real teacher. When he left for America bro he learned many fighting styles. He incorporated everything he learned and created jeet kune do, which was s something they based MMA on. Taking everything you learn and adapting to a fight but yea ip man taught Bruce Lee when Bruce was young.
Stay Keepin' It REAL!
Chuck Norris was his student in real life
@@wolfmanfan82 loool stop spreadin deception like yo daddy satan. Chuck norris and joe lewis paid for private lessons. Fact. Esau lose to jacob
@@wolfmanfan82 looool keep lyin to urself satan
not really, they trained together.
You guys want to see more Bruce Lee watch this movie called the Boss it’s a good movie gang gang gang
@KingScorpion73 Bruce was actually American as well being born in San Fransisco, chinatown area. Bruce did spend some time growing up in HK, but yup.. no doubt Bruce was really American. Another little rid bit on Bruce he spoke fluent english and cantonese but not a lick of mandarin chinese to.
oh, someone cobbled together a fight scene: Bruce Lee vs. Bruce Lee, taken from this...
His speed ruined his elbow joint and knee joint. He basically destroyed them both.
Bruce Lee’s practice swings where so fucking quick dude Jesus
Make your reaction to the same Bruce Lee vs. Chuck Norris with the Mortal Kombat edition!
at the 10:09 mark bruce does a VERY quick arm bar that is why chuck’s arm is shaking like that
Those triple roundhouse kicks in a row was unreal.
Fun fact Bruce Lee body changed drastically after the Big Boss 1971
This movie WAS filmed in 1972 AND BRUCE LEE HAD A fight With CHUCK NORRIS in THE ROMAN COLLESIUM AND AT THE END OF This movie BRUCE LEE Killed CHUCK NORRIS AND SADLY CHUCK NORRIS died FROM kidney CANCER AT THE AGE OF 83 AND HE WAS in A TV SHOW CALLED WALKER TEXAS RANGER REST in PEACE YOU GUYS YOU ARE GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN 😔
Way of the dragon is probably the first movies I saw where Bruce lee was beaten up and got punches and kicks and he feel, other movies he basically a undefeated boss
Bruce was an amazing practical fighter and martial artist but at this time chuck had already done some movies and he was also an actual karate champion
React boyka vs dolor, amazing fight scene guys
This was my favorite Bruce Lee movie, Return of the Dragon
This film is 'Way the Dragon'.
That's dope that you caught that fake. Almost nobody does
Reaction: Bruce Lee vs Guards
Bruce was using his art Jeet Kune Do and Chuck was using Tang Soo Do.
This is supposed to be taking place at the coliseum in Rome
@5:07 "Do whatcha gotta do!" Yup
You are absolutely right, Donnie is the master of Bruce Lee.
Lets get it straight IP man was one of Bruce 's Teachers . Ip man movies was off on timelines . Ip man was Bruce's 2nd or 3rd teacher. But after that Bruce came up with his own Style. Thd dancing around and the boxing style was Bruce's style. Bruce was and partially raised in San Francisco before his family moved to his monthers birth place, China. IP man taught him his style, Bruce had other teachers
Bruce Lee was born in San Francisco, but raised in Hong Kong.
Bruce took the best from each fighting style, the float like a butterfly he got from Mohammed Ali. And Chuck Norris has that Okinawa karate
Chucks art was Korean. Tang Soo Do
Social media would make fun of Lee today if he were still alive bc of his age and health issues
Mr Lee fighting a grizzly bear Lol 😅🤣
Did y’all know the dude from ip man is the one that trained him in real life
The hilarious thing about this scene is they didn't even have permission to film in the collesium they just filmed it anyway 😂
I know im buggin, but i need yall to react to "once upon a time in shanghai" please! :D
Ip Man movies came out in the 2000s. This movie was made 72. My brother you need to read up the history. Ip Man played by Donnie Yen.
They really battle in the movie
Chuck Norris played "Walker-Texas Ranger".
Bruce and Chuck were friends and trained together in real life.
Bruce lee was taught a lot by ipman... fact check.. & Bruce also took the wing chun style & mixed it up, but he was a long time student of ipman
Chuck Norris is 83 and retired, and as to wether or not he could or could not adapt to the main line or simple philosophies probably doesn't make much difference, in one other video, chuck Norris is documented as having several different black belts in other styles, but it read that chuck did adapt to what he felt was useful that given style, and eventually elevated to 10th degree grandmaster ,and if you do care to accept that or not, that is your choice, and chuck Norris also put his own name on his style,
CHUN/CHUK KUK DO ,
This is probably chuck Norris version of tea kwon do, so with all the movie's and the tv show series, Walker texas ranger, what would really make the difference about what or how much one practitioner might have knowledge of that there of,
Cause good quality karate is based on good honest creativity and how well you can do combinations,
