The beauty of this fight is how the choreography tells a story. In the first half, Chuck is pure Karate and Bruce is trying to match his style hoping to beat him at his own game. But Chuck is larger and stronger (and maybe (gasp) *better* than Bruce at Karate) which is why Bruce gets his butt handed to him. Why are there so many chuck Norris jokes but no Bruce Lee jokes? Bcuz Bruce Lee is no joke. Chuck doesn't die because he's afraid Bruce is waiting to kick his ass on the other side

And unfortunately, he died way to young, so he doesn't have the body of work that Chuck does. As for Chuck being afraid, that's just sill they were good friends.
There’s no dialogue between the two because in the original movie the two don’t speak the same language. This movie is dubbed in English so the English speaking public can understand it without reading subtitles. But, originally in the movie setting, Bruce’s character speaks only Chinese and, of course, Norris’s character only speaks English. THAT’S why there is no discussion between the two characters.
And Chuck Norris would not lose a fight on screen again until he fought a genetically enhanced superhuman on an episode of Walker Texas Ranger. (Yes that's an actual thing that happened on an episode of Walker Texas Ranger)
Bruce asked chuck to put on some weight for the movie so there was a big physical difference between them. Chuck was generally a lot lighter and cut at the time. He had already won several World championships at this stage. He started with Karate but anytime he saw something that he felt could beat him he learned it to Black belt levels. I love bruce but chuck is a bad mf
Sorry, Chuck lost badly to Bruce in full contact during their training. Billy Cheung was there and Bustillo. Also acknowledged Bruce was superior in his apology letter to Bruce. Because Chuck was talking sh%t about Bruce behind his back and Bruce find out about it.
If it has not been said below, the reason he killed him is because he would rather die fighting than give up fighting. And the Bruce character knew this hence he gestured, no don't, but knew what was ultimately coming.
Bruce actually asked Chuck to put on weight for this film (so the size contrast between them would be even more noticeable). With limited time to do so, Chuck indulged himself you might say -- pancakes and all the rest. That's why he looked a little plump in this scene. If you watch 'A Force of One,' you'll see Chuck in his true fighting physique.
Bruce passed away due to a cerebral edema (brain hemorrhage) some say it was due to an allergic reaction to "one" pain pill taken called Equagesic given to him by Betty Ting Pei and it was again only (1) tablet 🙏
Chuck was world champion at the time of filming. Bruce died from a cerebral oedema after taking a painkiller called equagesic, his death was ruled as death by misadventure. The warm up bit at the start was a traditional thing. Bruce and chuck became great friends after Bruce was impressed with chuck's reign as champion. Chuck along with several mma fighters and boxers have said that Bruce was the inventor of mma and theres no doubt he would have been champion if mma had been around for him to compete in. Bruce used to chew hashish leafs to calm his nerves as people used to want to fight him all the time. In enter the dragon at the end one of the bad guys jumps on Bruce's back and grabs him. Bruce dispatches him quickly. This was real, the guy in question was a stuntman that thought bruce was a phoney.
Bruce Lee didn't die because of a sleeping drug, but because of a painkiller, there was a subsance in the painkiller he was allergic for without knowing and he suffered a brain oedema.
you canclearely see they're fighting in a studio with a pictuare of the colosseum on the wall :) That's nonsense, because in the movie plot it wasn't even the colosseum. Not even "The Gladiator" wash shoot ib the Colosseum. The first movie to be shot in the colosseum was "Jumper"
Ahhh no dudes! Bruce died of arsenic poisoning. Two signs of AP are fainting and fingernails turning black. He was experiencing fainting spells during the making of Enter the Dragon and his autopsy, all of his fingernails had turned black. "Arsenic Poisoning " the two "Sleeping pills" that he was given were laced with arsenic and is what finished him off. He died the same way his teacher died in his Chinese Connection movie which was produced by Raymond Chow (Who Bruce was beefing with) interesting! The legend was murdered bro's!
I see a weakness in Lee's kicking attacks; he raises the arm on the same side as the kick before he delivers it. Of course, by the time ya' notice it----it's too late anyway.
It wasn't weak when he destroyed Chuck in a real full contact spar and was able to land one against a kickboxing champion by the name of Joe Lewis. What people don't understand, Bruce trained for the streets which also means to kill to survive. If Bruce was really pissed at Joe Lewis he would've kept on going, a follow up the second Bruce side kick Joe hard, and Bruce was able to pop Joe in the face a few times. Same goes when he sparred against Chuck and Kimura. Bruce was only going 60% in that Long Beach demo sparring against Takei Kimura, an established black belt and student of Bruce. And wasn't weak when Bruce challenged by others.

Sorry, you have to do more research. . Chuck didn't have no chance against Bruce when they went full pads full contact during their training. Bustillo and William Cheung was there to witness it. Billy said Chuck was red face.
The scene where they fighting a slow motion they had to slow it down because they were fighting too fast the reason why Bruce is moving the legs like that because he learned that from Muhammad Ali

When this movie was made Chuck Norris was martial arts world champion
If it has not been said below, the reason he killed him is because he would rather die fighting than give up fighting. And the Bruce character knew this hence he gestured, no don't, but knew what was ultimately coming.
Guys with all due respect it was one pill(credit to: vic20kid) that killed Bruce...please do your homework for goodness sake.
google bob baker drug letters re : Bruce Lee's death so in essence Lee died like Elvis : drugs
Watch the rest of the movie
Just Remember, Chuck was champion in point fighting. He didn't do full contact until later in his career.
Bruce Lee would beat anyone in a real fight.
Bruce Lee didn't die because of a sleeping drug, but because of a painkiller, there was a subsance in the painkiller he was allergic for without knowing and he suffered a brain oedema.
Said butch Only I hop....Bring me my waffles
Please don't forget that Chuck is 7 times World Karate Champion🏆..! Although Bruce is too fast as cameras needs to slow motion picture..
😇🥰🥰😜🤣🤣
It is the colosseum
😂
I like the hair trim lol and the cat was the like the referee
This should be a UFC fight
Both characters are incredible Bruce Lee died of Swelling in the brain not overdose
Warmeet dont disrespect professional wrestling. Like the Macho Man, "im gonna get you"
Bruce Lee is super sayian in normal form
you canclearely see they're fighting in a studio with a pictuare of the colosseum on the wall :)
That's nonsense, because in the movie plot it wasn't even the colosseum.
Not even "The Gladiator" wash shoot ib the Colosseum.
The first movie to be shot in the colosseum was "Jumper"
This was the first BL movie I ever seen in 1992 and it influenced me to join martial arts
Bob Baker letters from 2021 says otherwise , google it
>Goku has to
Lose every fight against Vegeta? True.
>like a jobber
So, Goku.
That cat....
It gets old quick when people commentating try to be funny when they're not. Just shut up and watch the video.
Can't believe they haven't seen it
I see a weakness in Lee's kicking attacks; he raises the arm on
the same side as the kick before he delivers it. Of course, by
the time ya' notice it----it's too late anyway.
@@bechelerroseme6821 Oh, don't get me wrong, I am a BL fan from
Way back. I studied him AND his "Art' for quite a number of years.
And I"ve seen and read most everything there IS on the man.
I simply noticed something about some of his kicks that could
possibly prepare an opponent. But like I said---he was so light-
ning Quick, he would hit you anyway.
The way some of you "Debate" about who would actually win between a real fight sounds like the bar arguments of who would win between the Terminator and Predator. This was STAGED, people. Read the history....its actually entertaining.
Bruce personally asked Chuck to be in this scene, and the joke goes that Chuck responded "Do I win?" and Bruce replied with a resounding "No." Chuck was in it anyway,
I personally am a bigger fan of Bruce Lee and believe he would win, but those who immediately dismiss Chuck Norris show you have no knowledge of history or martial arts, and sound like 45 year old male fangirls
Sorry, you have to do more research. . Chuck didn't have no chance against Bruce when they went full pads full contact during their training. Bustillo and William Cheung was there to witness it. Billy said Chuck was red face.
@@bechelerroseme6821 So a witness over Bruce Lee's own respect? Sounds reasonable on whom to believe 🙄
@@vladt876 I apologize i overreacted I deleted my comment.
The scene where they fighting a slow motion they had to slow it down because they were fighting too fast the reason why Bruce is moving the legs like that because he learned that from Muhammad Ali
