Morning Harry & Cloe.... Will have to watch later.... Have just completed a Victron Energy installation on our rig with MPPT, DCtoDC, mains charger and two lithiums. But for you nailing the long distances, I believe you made the right choice wiith Redarc. Should be watching your upload on the road.... TravelBlessings!

Awesome guys.. going to Lithium is huge, 100ah will feel like so much. I had that same issue with Redarc around common ground and negatives from the battery. I think the shunt needs it a certain way for it to measure the amps in/out the right way.

You are right! A simple mistake we rectified that night and the system is working an absolute treat now! Lithium for the win!! 😀

13:00 - some electrical devices need a floating ground which is not the same as an Earth ground or negative battery.

Problem with the all in one kit is zero redundancy

Can you explain what you mean here?

@TheLandyExpedition You showed an all in one Redarc DC to DC, mppt and hookup charger, if one of those circuts fail there is a potential you lose your ability to charge from any source, and typically would send the entire unit away for repairs or replacement. I have no problem with any brand but would prefer three single devices to cover your charging needs. If the mppt fails, you still charge when driving etc..all in all I love your setup I begin a D4 overland build in two weeks to work my way home to New Zealand from U.K and will be adopting some of your ideas. Safe travels.

    The App Controll is 🤩
It is the first time I realized, that your frame is galvanized. Is this self made? as far as I know there are some company's in UK producing galvanized frames for Landys. but here in Germany it is not allowed.
    anyway..get well soon 💪🏼

Hey! It’s a Richard’s chassis you but then pre galvanised.
And yes the app is epic. We absolutely love our new redarc system!

Fantastic upgrades! So what's the name of those pour-over things? I can't seem to find them in the description section.

Spring time down here, but Southe Africa and Namibia South West Africa can still have cold spells 'til October. We were shivering in Swakopmund for five days in late September a few years ago 15 degree max day temperatures. Bery cold in some parts of South Africa as week speak, with histories of snow on the Drakensberg and Cape Mountains often still seen in October.
