Appreciate it David! They are such amazing trucks!! It's safe to say we put a lot of thought into the build and we couldn't possibly be happier with it!
Hey Mark! We actually have a new UA-cam video in the works now however, it’s safe to say it’s been a chaotic past few months so fingers crossed we can try post more regularly! 🙏🏻
Epic colour. Ive been trying to choose the colour for my troopy for 2 months now because all the colours i want arent available. All vintage colours aswell. Everyone tells me to paint it the typical standard colours. Do what you love and retro is the way to go. Enjoy
Thanks so much! You aren't alone... 😅 we also spent many months trying to decide on a colour and FINALLY decided on this! Although even when we did lock in a colour choice, there were still doubts as you can see in our last video 😂 We couldn't agree with you more though, retro is the way to go!! Can't wait to hear what you choose for your troopy
Great build ..... I'm an Aussie, living in Arctic Sweden 2 months away from driving to Germany to do an internal camper build out on my Landie 110 and then change up my life and hit Europe ... 15 yrs in the concept and dream phase .... Who knows maybe some UA-cam needs to be done ? Good luck guys touring Australia will keep you busy for years ;)
We love to hear it! From one Aussie to another (well kinda) we can’t wait to hear more about your travels. You just can’t be a Landy camper conversion… 😮💨 we very much agree about travelling keeping us busy! Haha
Nice to hear another swede in the same process. Got a 110 ready to fit a pop-up roof. Love the Headspace-Camper but unfortionally not availible in Europe. Whats your plan?
Thank you so much! Oli is an absolute legend and his conversions are just something else 😍 We sat down with a small fit-out company in the eastern subs in Sydney and talked them through what we wanted which they managed to put together for us!
Thanks a bunch, stoked to have you along for the ride! Ahhh glad you love it, the colour is custom so took a bit of time to find the right one but we LOVE it ☺️
Thank you so much Shaun! 🙏🏼 We are so happy with how it's turned out after endless hours spent trying to find the best layout for practicality as well as maximising our storage space 😅 So happy to have you following along on our journey!
Surprisingly not! The only time we've heard any noise from the fridge is when the fridge is getting empty and we've left a glass jar where it shouldn't have been 😅
Appreciate the kind words!! 🙌 It's safe to say the kitchen slide-out is easily Max's favourite part of the entire build 😂 Funny you mention the fridge door actually! It's been on my to-do list for the past three weeks and I still haven't gotten around to swapping it to the other side haha. It will be so much easier to use once we have swapped it to the other side though!
Great conversion mate, love the clean build and the pastel shaded look you've gone for. I just think the solar panel on the roof isn't going to do much, as when you drive the DC-DC charger will top up the batteries. When you do park, you'll generally look for a shady spot. I reckon you're better off getting a good quality solar blanket and using the roof for some more storage. Cheers.
Thanks mate! We put a lot of time and effort into it so it's always great to hear when others love the clean look we've gone for too 🙌 Definitely a good point you've raised. Generally, we drive every couple of days so the DC-DC charger does most of the work however, living in Australia and practically following summer and spending as much time as possible by the beach, we find ourselves in the sun 9 times out of 10 as we have our massive 270-degree awning for shade. A larger solar panel also would have been a bit more beneficial but space was a tricky factor unfortunately 😢
Great walk around guys, and loving the build ... not heard of Headspace but will be messaging them shortly! Look forward to seeing what parts of the build you love most / work best and which really could do with improving! PS: the perfectionist in me is not loving the rear number plate hanging off the side of the car, is that a state requirement!?
Thank you so much! Andy spent hours upon hours researching everything he could to come up with this setup and it's definitely been worth it, we honestly couldn't be happier with it 😍 Headspace make an incredible roof conversion so we highly recommend getting in touch with them!! Hahah Andy agrees with you there! As the number plates are a little longer here in Australia, they have added a little bracket onto the side so the number plate can actually fit 😅 We actually used to have a bracket in the middle of the spare wheel that held the number plate in place there however, since we have added the trash bag onto our spare wheel, we've had to move it back to the original location.
I sit firmly in Andy's camp on the planning. Enjoy the journey, and if you find some down time we just got our 110 back from its own once in a lifetime conversion, so will look to see if we can document some of the family adventures in much cooler Scotland! @@rileytheroamer
This comment is awesome thank you! Ahhhh yes 😮💨 we very much would love a 4WD Sprinter, but truthfully I t was a bit out of our budget. BUT we are planning a build in 2026 to tour Canada and hope we have enough savings by then for one… that is our next goal!
it's funny tho, defenders are darn expensive here in the UK so much so that you can easily build a decent sprinter with the same amount of money. good luck, you've got something amazing going on there
@@tolgaio ahhh so a little different to here! They are expensive but probably around $30-40k difference 😮💨 Australia’s touring vehicle, a Toyota Troop Carrier sounds like the UK’s version of a Defender then!
We have noticed a slight difference in handling with the roof conversion installed however, as we are still on stock suspension besides having Airbag Man airbags installed, the handling could definitely be improved with some upgraded suspension.. hopefully some stage soon we can get onto that! 🙏
Hello Andy & Max, I'm very interested in your build, I got a 1994 110 doing up like yours, just like to ask you, did you weigh your Defender? if so how much weight is it fully loaded? Cheers, Jakob
Hey Jakob! Thanks so much for looking through our build and stoked to hear we've given you some inspo 🙌 If you're looking to do a fit-out similar to ours, the interior setup weighs about 120kg 🙂
Thanks for sharing your setup and the way you use it
The camera treats you guys well. You're gonna blow up. Best of luck!
I don't think we could be more stoked about this comment!! 🫣 Such a kind thing to say! We're so glad to have you in our community 🙌
Lovely couple. Look forward to watching your adventure. I have a couple defenders at the moment and like your build.

Nice to read about your plans. A Belgian here living in Värmland, and planning on a big tour using my 2014 poptop Defender.
What a pity you guy's didn't document the build 😢. Love your channel and content, hope too see what you are going to show. 🥂🤗❤
Likie the build. Agree that Oli at Headspace is great, also did a lovely job on mine. Interested to know who did your kitchen and cabinet build

Go Kiwi... 🤟 we'll keep following you.
We love the Kiwi support! And we finally have another video dropping tomorrow for you!
A really good build and quite a good colour for the Defender. Looking forward to your travels.

The Defender practical layout Insite wow the Defender is an epic rig i am a new follower. Greetings from South Africa

It’d be great if they made a gullwing windscreen!!! Like the safari windows on the old Kombis!
If only!! Surely someone, somewhere can make this happen! 🙏
Question on the fridge. Does the contents inside the fridge rattle when you are on the go on gravel 😊😊
Surprisingly not! The only time we've heard any noise from the fridge is when the fridge is getting empty and we've left a glass jar where it shouldn't have been 😅
Great job, thanks for the tour!
Appreciate it! 🙌🏽 glad you enjoyed it!
Great video love it! Btw, which brand is the canister shower?
Thank you! The shower canister is by a company in Australia called ONTAP which as been amazing!
Just loved your vibes guys keep it up looking forward for more content
This means a lot, appreciate it so much! 🫶🏼 we can’t wait to share more!
Looks awesome! Can't wait to see what you guys get up to.
