Mate, cracking Defender. Drives me nuts seeing Overlanders kitted out with ridiculously expensive crap attached to every panel on their vehicles, super hyped up and not a clue about how to use any of it if it's ever used at all. I agree with you on keeping everything stock but tweeked enough to suit where it's going. Ex Reme VM 88-98, ex Overlander 98-2014. Best vehicle, hmmmmm, yip Defender or D1 anywhere in the world. The channels great bud, keep it going.
@@GazD-h2p cheers mukka! Coming from dismounted back ground I don’t carry tons of luxuries. The amount of clients we get that say they want 1000 parts adding and we strip it all back through our experience to what they actually need and not what UA-cam has told them they need is unreal. QS
@@TheAdamsOverlandCompany Makes me laugh seeing 600kg of stuff on a roof rack, seriously top heavy. I converted my Transit (suitable for UK roads and Stealth camping for now) and any of my previous Overland vehicles all had items that, by rule must have a minimum of two uses or it ain't coming along. My D1 I ran down to Malawi in 2010/11 was stock with HD shocks and springs with winter tyres (just using them up as were free), a kelly kettle, tesco tent and £10 chairs lasted us close to 3 years of use. The D1 never had a single issue bar a windscreen in Austria and a headlight fell out in Turkey. 300 TDI. Best engine on the planet. You certanly know your stuff. I actually thought you were Ex Reme. I got the Landy bug for years but can't justify forking out thousands on a battered old thing and the Grenidier, hmmmmmm. Not sure yet......can't see them taking off in 3rd world Countries.
if you drive a Suzuki Jimny get a good 5cm lift and 215/75r15 tires. it transforms it from a bad stock ride to a something way better 🤩 Just get upgrades that improve or fix the stock ride.😎
Hi thanks victor, I think you were replying to my question about changes to my microamper (Berlingo) for going slightly off road, any further suggestions appreciated. Thanks again and good luck with the UA-cam channel.
I enjoyed that, I'm watching True blue Travellers, building their 6x6 Pinzgauer now, you want one checkout Basevan, £30k to you, I've subscribed, so alot of fun to look forward to, 👍👍
