Romina's didnt impress me all that at first but it *really* grew on me. Especially the 2nd part is out of this world. I guess i felt similarly about the boss itself, didnt really appreciate what a cool boss it is
Im gonna be honest, i shed a tear when i walked into the shaman village the first time. Hearing that first harp note, seeing the golden color, fighting the good old tree sentinels outside, it just instantly made me know what was going on. Marika, who we thought was a violent tyrant, was just a woman from a village. She was never inherently evil. To ascend to godhood, much like Miquella, she had to leave behind everything, including her love, and look at what it made of her. After what the hornsent did to her people (shaman flesh is believed to fuse together easily, so the hornsent put Marika's people (the blobs from the pots in the gaols) in the pots to make them fuse, and somehow ascend to divinity), she sought revenge, and ordered Messmer to crusade against the Hornsent. That's also why she put Morgott and Mohg away, in the sewers, because the omens resemble the hornsent. Her actions aren't justified, but fuck do i understand why she is the way she is. She is my favorite character in any fiction honestly, especially when you think about the duality with Radagon.. Chills Also fun fact, Metyr's phase 2 music is black hole noise recorded by NASA! A few other musical connections to note: Romina's ost has Malenia's melody, Bayle's has Placidusax's melody, Rellana's has Rennala's melody, Messmer's has Radagon's melody, Scadutree avatar has Erdtree avatar's melody and ofcourse, Midra's has the frenzied flame merchant's melody! On a side note, after the DLC i highly recommend to play Outer Wilds. I can't say anything about it because it's the only game you can ever play once, because knowledge is how to progress in it. You'll love it, guaranteed ❤
Marika didn’t leave her love behind. That was a misconception that even Miquella made about his mother because of her actions. But really, Marika clung to love. It was the one thing she didn’t leave behind, and it destroyed her like a curse.
@@namirakira7138 Are you sure? Because in the end she is really selfish, killing her own children and plunging the world into war to basically kill herself. What's the proof that she didn't leave it behind?
@@duro3666 because many of her actions are based on her love for the Shaman Village. If she abandoned her love, she would have simply moved on. The shattering also happened because of her love for Godwyn. Also I can’t think of any of her children she killed. She only banished three of her children as far as we know. She’s still a really really bad mom though.
There's so much about the motivations of Marika and Miquella both that we don't understand yet and there's still so much debate surrounding all this. It's clear that they are both complex characters with many layers. I personally love the overall themes and ideas presented by them both even if we don't understand the timeline and details of what happened.
I think a game that would be super welcomed by the comunity, and fits your enthusiasm and style of playthrough super well is Outer Wilds! It might not be a huge triple A game, but knowing how much you loved Shadow of the Collosus... You would love it. I think the fact we all do souls games a different way is what makes watching these playthrough of other people so satisfying. And Outer Wilds is defintively a unique experience for each one, I love watching people play it! It is also a short game you can play in a week, which after massive tasks like Elden Ring or GOW, I'm sure you will welcome Guys if you'd like Mati to play Outer Wilds, push this post up so he sees it!

The Shaman village is the most beautiful part of the entire game, its made even more sad by the fact that despite Messmer's growing hatred for his mother, he still protected her home
Romina's theme is one of my absolute favs, so beautiful man Also, fun fact, Metyr's theme in phase 2 is literally just the first recording of the sounds that black holes would produce
Hi Mati, I've been waiting a long time for you to reach the Shaman Village, but you are finally there. Lore-wise, is my favorite location of the game. The music, the flowers, the gold sparkles falling from the sky, the deep sense of loneliness and the huge revelation about the most "human" part of Marika... Every time I visit this place it gives me chills and the first time I discovered it, it almost made me cry. It's also amazing how it completely changes the perspective about the most central character of the game.
with regards to the intro, I'd be interested in seeing you play black myth: wukong, and while i dont know much about it, if there's anyone who can make me interested in watching a lets play of it, its you :)
Mati, I don't know if you'll ever read this, but I just want to thank you. Your videos are some of the most entertaining and wholesome videos I have seen in a long time.
