I really wish the legendaries just being silhouettes on the boxes was actually a thing so there would actually be some mystery around them until they're encountered
I wish Legendaries weren't such a huge deal. Then again, that was only the case in one generation, the first one. It was also the only generation where your rival was the champion. It was so cool to just randomly encounter legendaries, you were such a bad ass that you just waltz in on them sleeping and they don't run from you. You encounter one legendary (Moltres) simply by making a wrong turn during your normal route, the other two you kind of have to look for.
How I'll make a Pokémon generation lore: •design a Pokémon box legendary with just silhouette on it •only its colored eyes and aura is seen •story progresses revealing the legend is long dead but its legacy was carried •the gimmick of the region was born due to the legendary's heroic sacrifice
It would be a risk for Game Freak and the Pokèmon company, but I would like to see an official game where the box art legendary is just a silhouette, and it stays secret until encountered in game.
People thought Skeledirge destroyed the Zodiac trend but I think Typhlosion already destroyed that trend long ago. Typhlosion isn’t a rat, he’s a badger. I guess the fans were still in that denial phase of the stages of grief.
Nah fenniken broke it since typhlosion wasnt what started the theory, Infernape started it and people just overlooked the fact typhlosion is an ECHNIDEA - BADGER. Fenniken was a fennic fox not a dog which broke the two generations plasuable theory and yet people still overlooked it. The only reason people finally gave up is because dragon was taken for skeledirge
People are really trying to stretch it by saying Fuecoco is the Ox but I forgot the reason why. I think it was cuz a male crocodile is called a bull or something and bulls and ox are similar.

Not really. There's lots of fan designs made before the official design that looks so close to the official designs made later you could accuse them (the official company) of stealing/copying the fan design
in all fairness i don't gamefreak would ever go and steal a design, at most just ending up at a similar design by having similar inspirations and concepts, there's no reason that the huge company with full teams dedicated to making the things would steal from a random online solo artist

Additionally I've heard of other companies doing the same, other companies stealing fan art to use for official promotional material, sometimes monetized even. Neopets and Nickelodeon are examples of this. I'm saying it's not unheard of large companies doing this, especially given sometimes the companies do it without caring knowing they have the wallet to shut the fan up. :/ Like it's scummy but not unheard of.

I agree with the crocodile statement. It’s so good that we received the fuecoco mon line for more croc diversity, but there is still more that can be added. Especially other reptile mons, like how we got 3 different dog lines (not that I have an issue with puppos) but barely any dinos (excluding the pseudo mixed with Godzilla and the past paradox) for example.

Tbf, Japan uses the terms for mice and rats interchangeably (They're even the same word, I think "mouse" is just "small rat" (Or "rat" is "big mouse," I can't remember exactly)) and it was in Gen 2 which was originally intended to be the end of the series. I'm able to excuse Typhlosion and Delphox since the former is... weird... and the latter is close enough that I can accept it. That being said, Fuecoco put the nail in the coffin cause any attempt to insert it into the theory would be stretched so thin it could be snapped by the slightest breeze. Lol.

The grass and fire starters are obvious giveaways they don’t look like starter Pokémon design wise. The water one on the other hand is the best fake design I’ve seen for a starter
People say that fire theory is done for, but the thing is, if they continue doing, they would run out of Zodiac animals. So I think that they don’t alway have stick with it in order. They can take breaks from Zodiac like they did with Gen. 9.
These are some good starters, though it's hard to vote against the bird and also Gen 7 has the best water starter and the third best evolutionary line of all Pokemon only losing to Squawkabilly and Chatot, being of course Popplio, Brionne, and Primarina.
The poor Japanese being a dead giveaway reminds me of the fake Drowzee pre-evolution from the XY days. Everyone fell for it, but if you can read any Japanese you'd probably figure out it's fake right away- Pokémon names are always spelled in katakana, but Akubiwo was in hiragana. Basically, imagine a Pokémon where its whole name is in lowercase. Wonder what the author's intent was there?
Tbh I'd rather buy this fake pokemon game over some official ones. It just feels like a natural evolution to the games. The fake starters themselves remind me of gen 2's chikorita and tododile while the bear reminds me of beta design of cyndiquin. Not only that but the starters themselves give an impression that some will evolve to stay on 4 feet, as for some reason pokemon has to humanize every starter. Eg. making them look more like a human than a beast, which loses that "Pocket MONSTERS" thing about Pokémon. Maybe i'm just not the target audience for pokemon now. But I do wish they went back to some older ideas and revisted them. Like having more than 1 region (meaning you could visit older games), having a form of travel between the region like a ferry or train, having a radio that affected your wild pokemon encounter, the ability to ring trainers up for a rematch, pokemon beauty contests, making your own hidden base, underground fossil farming, the return of pokemon safari, the return of easy and hard modes, and bug catching contests to name a few.
