- Hi guys, this is Salim and in this video we are going to flash the factory stock image on the Nexus 5X.

You'll need two files:
Factory image of Nexus 5X:

ADB Drivers:

Salim, you are my hero! Other websites offered this advice, "Nothing can be done. It's a known issue; hope you saved your receipt." I was trying everything just to get my N5x out of bootloop and back to factory. It was a full day of searching, trying, re-searching, re-trying... literally, a whole day. Unless you've battled a soft brick, you can't imagine the frustration and confusion that washes over you hour after hour. The BIGGEST thing to REMEMBER is give the phone 30+ minutes to do its thing. It may look like the bootloop is still there, but leave it alone - go watch some Netflix, just leave it be. I came back to my phone and the screen was off - no looping. I pushed the pwr btn and saw the glorious screen "Welcome" Let's Go"! Now I can finally enable developer menu and flip on usb debug!

how should i do if the smartphone it´s in bootloop and when i enter recovery mode, the fastboot says that the device state it´s locked?
my command prompt says device not found?

+Neelakanteswara Reddy Strange. You have the correct file? If yes, in that case you will have to maually flash all files, like bootloader, raio,etc.
If anyone unable to wirte files then Run the file as Admin.
Tell me what to do. Everytime i flash a custom rom.. upon setup.. errors like bluetooth has stopped working.. google services has stopped working. Keep on coming and i cannot complete setup

Do u have twrp? Is it connecting when you're in twrp? Are you able to access your storage normally on phone?

Not necessarily. If u bricked ur ohone, flash the stock image, its the easiest option

You haven't properly installed the drivers. Install them. Connect your phone to PC in fastboot. Go to device Manager. Go to Other.
There must be a device named Android. Right click-Update-Select from computer and there will a screen to select bootloader mode. Do that.
A laptop speaker! This speaker is way too different. How can you compare it to a laptop speaker? Also how can you tell if its way too mid forward. You have to have the speaker for that. You can't judge the sound quality of speaker by just listening to them on reviews. That's why we tell how it sounds!

How you open cmd by clicking right mouse
It doesn't work on Windows now

everytime i unlock the bootloader and try to start the bat, it relocks my bootloader

bootloader is locked. in bootloop so cant boot phone to change settings. any way to unlock bootloader without going into dev settings?
+gaza messenga Hold power and bolume down simultaneously. You will get into fastboot mode
The Gadget Ninja mera bhi same problem he bina unlocked bootloader k flash nahi ho raha he. Recovery bhi nahi aa raha so kaise flash karu or kaise bootloader unlock karu?? Fastboot oem unlock command is not working plz help

My device is locked and I cannot boot into OS to enable USB debugging. Device needs to be unlocked to perform flash..

bro.. i just recovered my 5x from bootloop issue by flashing the modified boot.img and also twrp.. so, now im on android 7.1.2 july patch.. is it ok for me to flash directly the latest oreo factory image using ur method? or do i have to revert twrp to stock recovery first, n then flash the oreo image??

Yes and I also want to lock the bootloader and get my device updated to android oreo. I have downloaded the android oreo flash image for nexus 5x. It will boot in android oreo when I flash the image. Right?

The Gadget Ninja there is some cores issue with the processor i read it in the xda forum. Still have to try .

my phone wont go into fastboot. it wont even turn on
U have hard bricked it. its hard to explain the steps and since I no longer own a nexus, I'd recommend you to read threads at XDA
It's hard to find this model now. It's not available anywhere now. Maybe some local stores have it or can take your order for this laptop.
thanks.i got it to boot into fastboot once i think there a problem with the volume button which is why i could not go into fastboot. i have sent it in for repair and will fix using this method. thanks
