I like your impressions of the inks and the advent calendars as a whole. I am really glad that I went with the Diamine inkvent calendar because, like you, I want crazy shenning or shimmering inks for Christmas 😄. I also think that this calendar would be great for someone starting out playing around with inks. There are some nice colors, but nothing has really wow me. I really enjoy your videos because I appreciate your opinions on different inks, and also, I love watching your swatch book. It's so pretty I am planning to make my own over the Christmas break!
Thank you! I agree that the Colorverse calendar would be good for beginners but shouldn't be a "holiday" calendar in my opinion. "Holiday" should be sparkly and exciting!
I'm a blue lover; most of my favorite inks are high sheening inks that are blue based. Before I switched over to fountain pens, I was a Pilot G2 writer; exclusively in blue. I only wrote in blue for years. And even I would not be too pleased opening an expensive calendar with this many blues when I go in hoping for more diversity.
I really like blue ink, it’s my favorite ink color along side brown inks. I also love almost all of the inks in this calendar individually. That said, I would be incredibly frustrated had I gotten this advent calendar. I would have expected them to provide a more interesting variety of colors for this price point.
Opening yet again, a basic blue, all I heard in my head was DJ Khaled saying "Another one" 😂 jimminy christmas whoever approved this many blues at Colorverse needs a talking to. Even if this was reds (because you know I'm obsessed) I still wouldn't want that many of the same color group. 🤣
For me, I liked that they had standard inks so far, but am glad I didn't get this one. The amount of blues would of not made me happy. For the price of this colorvent, I would not of been happy so far either. I am truly grateful that I went with the Diamine. It is just more exciting with lots of different and unique colors so far. The writing of this color was better than the swatch. I think Spring with this too.
I'm glad you are enjoying the other advent calendar more. I'm hoping for more exciting colors soon. I'm not sure what they were thinking with so many blue/purple inks. I truly hope that Colorverse sees all the "opinions" of the calendar this year and makes changes as necessary for next year.
It made me so sad that you haven't enjoyed the Colorvent. It's kinda a thing for me now to guess if you'd like the day's ink or not. I hope the rest of the days turn out better for you. I guess this would be a great Christmas gift for people who are starting out their fountain pen journey and don't have a lot of inks.
Yea its a nice color on its own. But taking into consideration of the entire colorverse price point I understand the disappointment of so many similar colors
It really is a pretty color, but I think I expected more from the calendar overall. I think if they had more glistening inks it would feel more "worth it." I'm really hoping there isn't a single blue left in the calendar haha 😂
It’s actually crazy how little variety there is in this advent calendar! And colorverse has such a range of inks, it’s so bizarre that they would put this out for the price.
I love how you didn't cave to open them all up and your positive vibes! I really like this color, however I'm not knowledgeable enough to know the difference between dry and wet inks. I will get there tho! What are your favorite ink tones? I am normally a cool tone girly however I am gravitating towards warm tones with my inks! Lol Gosh I hope you don't get a blue it tomorrow!!!
Thank you 😊 I'd say my favorite tones are on the warmer side. I love a good warm brown, or even an olive green. For the dry inks, the best way I can describe them is they feel like they "drag" a bit more or have a less "flow" feel when writing.
@mydandeliondiaries I am trying to find a good warm brown. So far, I have bought Colorverse Coffee Break. What is your favorite olive green? Thank you for describing dry vs wet. That makes a lot of sense!
okay, I like this one but I also like teal-y colors (be it blue-teal or green-teal) The name of it is so weird tho X'D BPC - Polar Bear, Fighting Fish, Cerulean Deatramentis - Cyan Blue Copper Robert Oster - Harvasa Falls, Fire and Ice, Steely Days Diamine - Marine
I only got the Diamine calendar but I have been watching this one just to see how you temper your dissatisfaction after day. This was so expensive. I knew the Western holidays might not have the same bling for an Asian company but this is so bah humbug for the price.
Didn’t think this Colorverse advent calendar could get anymore boring but I give it 5 yawns. If it weren’t so expensive I’d throw the whole calendar in the trash to avoid further disappointment
I saw someone open this last night. My first thought was "she's going to be SO mad" 😂
I watched "The Wet Pen"s video before these and every dang time, that is what I think, too.
I just watched Maria Rosseau and I was thinking’Danielle is probably not going past 15’😂
yep you were my first thought when I checked which ink was next 💙💙
Yeah....hahaha not my favorite for sure. 😂😂

Yea. I like looking at all the different inks when she does the comparisons.

I 100% agree!

Right? 😂 Too many of any color feels wrong. 24 inks needs 24 different things going on!
@@mydandeliondiaries 💯
I'm so sorry you spent so much money on this advent calendar. I love your positive attitude!
I really appreciate that! I'm trying to stay positive. I know there is always a risk with advents but I'm really shocked at this so far.

@ yes I agree. I do like Colorverse inks so it would be nice if they listened to the masses.
I'm trying to stay positive! I do think that this colorvent would be good for beginners just based on the number of standards in this box.
Yea its a nice color on its own. But taking into consideration of the entire colorverse price point I understand the disappointment of so many similar colors

I agree!! I'm questioning what they were thinking...especially with their crazy inks they come out with every year.

I'm hoping for a crazy bright (but legible) color for you tomorrow.
Our wish was granted 😍😭 finally something I haven't really seen before!
On camera it also looks like Pilot Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku
okay, I like this one but I also like teal-y colors (be it blue-teal or green-teal)
The name of it is so weird tho X'D
BPC - Polar Bear, Fighting Fish, Cerulean
Deatramentis - Cyan Blue Copper
Robert Oster - Harvasa Falls, Fire and Ice, Steely Days
Diamine - Marine
Right?? The name kind of threw me a bit haha
Im having issues with all the reds
There are quite a few reds, but at least red is a christmasy color!
Brine, as in saltwater. On camera it does look like Diamine -- Marine.
Brine! That makes so much sense. Thank you!!
I only got the Diamine calendar but I have been watching this one just to see how you temper your dissatisfaction after day. This was so expensive. I knew the Western holidays might not have the same bling for an Asian company but this is so bah humbug for the price.
Bah humbug is right. I'm hoping there will be some more pizzaz in the days to come but my expectations are a bit low right now haha.
😂 I mean, I tried to gently warn you. I’m so sorry.
It is what it is haha. I do like this color, it just makes me annoyed that there are so many inks that are SO similar in 1 calendar.
Didn’t think this Colorverse advent calendar could get anymore boring but I give it 5 yawns.
If it weren’t so expensive I’d throw the whole calendar in the trash to avoid further disappointment
Hahah 5 yawns is accurate. I at least have standard inks for the next 5 years 😂
It’s a turquoise, not a teal. Nowhere green enough to be a teal.
