i always enjoyed watching Terrible Terry Norris!!!! His amazing speed, counterpunching, taking chances, and bouncing on his legs the way he did, nice!!!!
I fought Quincy Taylor my 1st pro fight in 1986. Lesson #1. Never take a fight on a 3 day notice when you been breaking all the rules. Quincy's a nice fella, I have a lot of respect for him. maurice
@@SuperMurray2009 look it up on my fight record and Quincy's fight record.and you will find it. We drove to Ft.Worth from Houston on a cold winter's night, future World Champion at the time, Reggie"Sweet"Johnson, a close friend, was in the car with us. With due respect, why would I lie about this?
Not at all, I just considered them as another opponent, looking back, the feelings a little different. I am glad to have fought such top contenders my first two pro fights. I remember Jim Sim's asst trainer Gene Fields saying, "You pick 'em tough" as I was leaving the ring after the Thomas Tate fight.
@@reycesarcarino4653 He was caught clean by Taylor on several occasions. Tylor was a good puncher. The punch from Jackson would have definitely affected his punch resistance going forward. He even stated that he had never been down until he was flattened by Jackson.
Al Bernstein was heavily biased in favor of Sugar Ray's fighter. Terry Norris dominated the last two rounds but Bernstein made it sound like Norris was losing.
Got a chance to train with Terry at the Kingsway Boxing Gym in Manhattan... His work ethic was unparalleled..

@Weghweh Hwewehwhe that gerald guy was an absolute MONSTER. He was probably the best if the pack. Roy jones avoided him like the plague

Yeah, Julian was good against Terry
Could you upload clifford etienne vs frans botha by chance?
Ok uncle Peewee 😂😂
This fight proves Norris could indeed take a punch before Jackson damaged his ability to take a punch.
Nah he was still chinny Taylor just couldn't catch him. Norris was still susceptible to the right hand to the temple
