Fear Factory is the band i never stop listening, so many songs i love.
Thank you Dino, Burton, Raymond, Crristian.
Also Dino should revive Divine Heresy, that was beast of a band
Damn right need a new divine heresy record...truth
@@jackiethompson9677 the first one was awesome
@@dragonfly8341 why? Burton is singing on it. So it makes no sense
@@dragonfly8341 come one dude. burton and dino wrote and recorded that record like 3 years ago as Fear Factory and for Fear Factory. It is sad that Burton quit but it is a Fear Factory record...
I would say bring back Travis at least. I truly love the second album. But not going to lie the first album was amazing
To me, having live drums over programmed drums really does make a difference.
I absolutely love when dino said, "and your gonna get future ff records"!!
Dino was such a huge influence on me as a guitar player coming up. I used to get home from school and just play along to the entire Demanufacture and Obsolete records. Also met Dino and Burton by their tour bus in ’01. Couldn’t have been nicer dudes. True class acts. Look forward to this new album. Glad Dino and FF are still out there doing their thing
No kidding.
I learned how to increase my pick speed thanks to Dino.
Still prefer rhythm, though.
Love chugging powerful riffs that need blastbeats.
I learned alternate picking only to play Self Bias Resistor back in the day haha
@@Tienhamir100 Same, in addition to getting me to play guitar more, and getting me into heavier stuff, I credit FF with my increase in hand speed during my early metalhead years. 8 years later I'm in my own band now, and Dino's influence still comes out here and there in riffs I write.
I practiced all the time to Demanufacture back in the day because you could hear those snappy triggered kicks going off and snap along to them.
Crazy how some people are snobbish AF on Archetype. That was a killer record
That is my #1 album from the band love it 🤘brings back good old memories lol
Idt many have given it a chance because of Dino not being on it. I know that was the case for me, but once I got over that, I found out they were indeed good albums as well.
@@keithchristen8497 I loved Dino in FF, still gave the album a chance and it was a great album. 1st half was insanely good but the second half was hit or miss. Might be 3rd or 4th favorite FF album for me.
I think apart from a few tracks, the overall album, which I like a lot, is more atmospheric than any others.
For me age has a lot to do with it I heard Demanufacture as a 13 year old kid back in 1995 actually my mum bought the album for me 😀 so that's why it's always been my favourite album, but every future album displayed moments of greatness and on Archetype it was for me Bite The Hand That Bleeds excellent lyrics and top tier vocals but you do you if your ears enjoy something then happy listening friends I don't do arguing or elitism just advice knowledge recommendations cause I'm an old cunt 🤣
Huge fan Dino, you're the reason I started playing guitar and jumped right on the 7 string Ibanez back when I was 13 around 1996.
Not sure which 2 albums is refering to but Archetype was a beast of an album man
Yeah even though he’s talking about Archetype I think Digimortal and Transgression are the 2 albums that I could do without. Transgression would’ve made a killer EP with better production and cutting out the fluff.
@@perfectsynthetic totally agree on the EP idea for transgression. As a four song EP it would've been way better.
Agreed! Archetype is killer!!
@@perfectsynthetic Transgression and Mechanize are by far my favorite FF albums :(
Digimortal is their worst record imo
I freaking love Dino. He's one of the guys responsible for me becoming a guitarist. I'm stoked for the new FF album. I'm stoked for anything Dino puts out. 🤘
Love Dino. He's always been a huge influence for me. Cannot wait for the new record.
Dino has been an influence for damn sure for me since hearing Demanufacture back in 95. I'm so happy for him he now owns the Fear Factory name and brand its very exciting news. I wish Burton all the best for his future projects too.
A Re-release of Mechanize with Bonus tracks!!! 🤯🤯🤯
A Mechanize re-release?! Yes! That and Genexus are my 2 favorite albums, so that's really awesome.
First day buyer if Mechanize is released on Vinyl. It's as good as Demanufacture.
They are also re-releasing The Industrialist with live drums and a closing track (that it was originally supposed to have)
@@Salomon_G I hope to hell that's true!! The Industrialist was FUCKING awesome
@@xenomorph2056 Dino said they've re-recorded it and it's being mastered now
SENSEI DINO CAZARES = 1of THE most influential &matadores Guitarists in METAL history.
His innovation concerning 7-8 String Guitars& turn ng is unparalleled.
I'm sad that things went so turbulent on FF's lane,
BUT
Now at least they can search a Vocalist at a DEVIN TOWSEND level who can record AND reproduce the same Vocals' quality live.
I've watched FF live here in BRASIL a couple times&gotta admit, inasmuch as I love SENSEI BELL's singing, most of the time he just can't replicate what he does on studios live.
Long live FEAR FACTORY
For the next 30 years
✊🏼🔥✨🤘🏻🤘🏻🏴
MECHANIZE was an extremely pleasant surprise for me. I loved FF, would see them down in Massachusetts on Demanufacture and obsolete, first time seeing them "who the hell is that? My head is rocked off!". A great band, super cool and accessible to the fans, I was able to meet Raymond and Christian at some sort of signing booth. Mechanize was such an exciting return to form, it was like the record that could have come after Demanufacture, I really appreciated Dino bringing the Shred!
Dino is a riff master can't wait
The price of acquiring the rights to the band completely. Ended, in losing all its original members. I hope it was worth it. From a music standpoint , I thank the entire band for years & years of awesome music. You guys got me through a lot! I thank you all very much.
Excellent interview Frank, thanks. Dino is definitely carrying the torch of inspiration for future generations. Looking forward to the new album. Also good to hear that Matt from Chimaira will fill in for Tony as Matt killed it on the Demanufacture tour back in 2013.
thanx dino for acknowledging archetype n transgression. obsolete, genexus, n archetype are my 3 favorite 3 records. u r also my favorite influence in my guitar playing. thank u for starting my favorite band dino
The way Dino explained the album title and what it means to him. I have nothing... I'm completely speechless. I fucking love dino.
I love the reference about Dune. FF can move on and improve freely, for many years I hope. I also appreciate Matt coming back. As did Tony, Matt made great job on the Industrialist tour and enjoyed a lot playing for us. Cool attitude.
Wish we could have another roadrunner reunion concert miss those days
Roadrunner unfortunately sucks now that most of the old bands are gone.
I understand what Dino is saying about the Soul Of A New Machine but I honestly never had a problem listening to it from start to finish.
Just listened to the re-release of Demanufacture yesterday, GOD what an amazing album! This was exciting, can't wait for the new one!
Static X and Fear factory fuck yeah! I'll remember those words
Fucking sucks that Burton is gone... it definitely will not be the same, but the machine lives on! It could always be worse.. FF could split up completely. I for one am thankful Dino is keeping the machine alive.
At what point does he talk about clearing up band drama...? I definitely missed it...
Everyone wants to play like Steve Vai, I want to play like Dino Cazares!, and I still think the brutal Concreto should have been included on Demanufacture, would have fit in perfectly next to Body Hammer.
King of the industrial metal.
"..A Static-x/Fear Factory thing in the future.."
🤤🤣🤗💥📢oh fuck! **Explodes** I can't handle it 🖤🖤
We got a taste of that before... "Burning Inside" cover was Bell and Wayne.
@@Desolaytore oh don't I know it. I remember reading an article way back when where Wayne was saying they kept having to like turn up the bass on Wayne's vocals to try to match Burton's cuz Burton's vocals are so robust. My 2 favorite vocalists! My 2 favorite bands!!
Thank you so much for doing this. Love it 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Cooperate cloning is one of my favorite fear factory songs also Final exit.
Final Exit and the end of the bridge into the final chorus gives me goosebumps every single time.
@@fashioniconjaylienkay me to!!! I love those songs I love every FF song but those are my favorite. Also bite the hand that bleeds they did on the saw movie !!
Thank you Dino, I look forward to fearfactory living on 🤘
People forget that Archetype was UNIVERSALLY praised by fans and critics when it came out. Why does everyone shit on it now? Even half of Transgression was pretty good
People back then were just glad FF wasn't dead, and that the record wasn't another Digimortal. In highsight I think Archetype was only half good. I didn't like Transgression at all personally.
Man the second half of Transgression drops the ball fucking hard.
I like Archetype and see nothing wrong it with it but Transgression was and still is nothing but a mistake. You could save a couple of songs but no more than that. the only Fear Factory CD that I bought and finally threw to the trashcan.
transgression was shit man, archetype was really good
@@Salomon_G 😆
Awesome. Dino is the real human...machine of hate. Long Live Fear Factory.
Disruptor is their best single in years. Ironically released after Burton's dismissal.
Right, one of those bands that I can't say I'll support with his departure 🛫
He wasn’t dismissed
Dino = God --- Fear Factory for ever!
Learned a lot from this about my all time band that I didn't even know about.
Matt on tour again hell yeah!!!!
Stoked for this new LP. The singles are heavy and full of that old energy. FF rules.
Don't you just love, Dino?
🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️✌️🖖🤘👋
Can't wait for this album!
Fear factory is badass
Yes
Metal injection, I love you.🤘🤘
Ah yeah...Great interview
great interview. he did painted a very good picture of burton despite all the shit between them up to this point. hope the new fear factory era works out well for dino.
This made me like dino so much more
Thank you Dino, and the rest of the guys in Fear Factory!!!! I've been hoping Soulfly would rerelease Seek And Strike! Could you possibly help my dream become reality? You and Max are 2 of my favorite guitarists since the passing of Dimebag. Tom Maxwell is also a huge influence of mine with his work in Nothingface!!!! Thank you guy's for squashing inner band turmoil, and coalescing for the futures sake👊🔥🤘
Yes! Hopefully a new divine heresy record!! 🤘🤘
Archetype was a great album, the title track was a top 10 best FF songs of all time. Hell even Dino ended up playing it Live / bowed to fan pressure. I also put Drones in the top 20 FF songs.. Transgression is the only album I would never bother listening to again. Digimortal strayed too much into hip-hop / Olde Wolbers influence and felt like it was trying to be some record scratching Korn / Limp Biskit trend chaser. Other than that, FF don't produce a bad album. I do think Aggression Continuum will end up top 3 ever FF albums. Can't wait!
I don’t know if the hip hop push was all thanks to Wolbers. I think a lot of it was just they all wanted to make some money and copy what was popular. If a lot of it was him it’s funny that he influenced both the hip hop direction and the return to form on Archetype. I like Archetype a lot. I only like 2 songs on transgression.
Dino bring back Archetype. By far one of the best FF albums and you said it yourself that it’s a FF record... so why bury it? I get it if it’s a legal thing but a lot of us love that record including Transgressions It’s a part of FF history.
It's because he didn't play on them and Archetype was basically a big "fuck you" to Dino haha, course he'll shit over it. Was probably their best album at the time since Obsolete.
Dino doesn't own those records and the label that did, closed down many years ago. He has been working to try and make those records available.
Great interview. Here's a fully dedicated man to his craft. With Absolute Aggression!!
20:21 oh man! If this happens it will be so good!!!
Really 💔 when I heard Burton C. Bell said he quit FF 😭
This was a great interview packed with exciting developments for the future of FF. Can't freaking wait to see them perform w/new vocalist and start touring again🤘👿
I'm not. Hell butcher every classic.
Replacing a musician is one thing but a front man is tricky, I wish you the best Dino.
Fear factory new Album kick ass I love it
Why is everyone taking Dino's side? Burton was the reason I liked them in the first place
Dino started fear factory and pioneered the sound there known for, without Dino there would be no FF
@@A_lesson_in_Hate actually it was Raymond Dino and Burton that started it then Chris came on a year later so no you're wrong..... Dino could not have made d-manufacture without those other three members he could not have made obsolete without those other three members absolutely not you're wrong just because he might have been the visionary aspect of the band does not make him the heart and soul.... Burton himself said the heart and soul of fear factory at what everything was built around was Rays drumming
@@stevemiller4494 Dino started the band so you're wrong end of story..... Mic drop...
I mean the history of the band as legal entity is interesting to say the least. I could be mistaken, but I think Dino was actually brought back as a hired gun, when Burton controlled the trademark. I could be completely mistaken though
@@A_lesson_in_Hate Raymond and Burton were a HUGE part of their sound, and then Christian came in with his talent and rounded everything out. Dino apparently does not appreciate any of that.
15:42 I said the same thing lol prolly why I love this band
Man I'd love another Divine Heresy album.
I would too, my favorite was the 1st one with Tommy Vext
@@drio2020 same
I’m sure Tommy the diva won’t want it
Burton sounds like he's phoning it in on both of those new tracks. They're very ordinary by FF standards too, imo.
Now i know why Burton left and said the Fear Factory chapter is over for him. I thought he left be that crowdfunding for the new record debacle. Which i didn’t like, i don’t think fans should pay for band members sueing one another. Burton kept this band alive up untill now. That said, Dino also had his share of misery and i don’t blame him. It will be weird without Burton, but maybe we got 2 great bands in the future, if they can crawl out of their pandemic cave. Crazy what money does to bands, it’s amazing how Metallica kept it together for the most part. Good luck Dino and Burton with new endeavors!
The crowdfunding wasn't about lawsuits dude. It was that Dino didn't want to release the record the way it was with programmed drums, because fans complained the last time they did that, and it was a slap in the face to Mike Heller this time to. And it was Burton that decided on the programmed drums. The label wasn't going to give them more money to re-record. No one forced any fans to donate any money, so there is nothing to complain about here. The fans don't 'have to' pay for anything. Also Burton never 'kept the band alive' he was the main reason for it stopping and starting. He left the band multiple times. The band always revolved around his mood. Then he went and lost the band's trademark in court, and Dino had to go into debt to buy it back. Burt is not innocent.
One thing I don't get is, that Dino thought the album to be re recorded with live drums after HE programmed them on that new record as he did on Industrialist....
I honestly can't imagine Fear Factory without Burton on vocals, but I'm so glad to hear the band is moving forward.
Also, I seriously question the judgement of anyone that shits on Archetype. That album is a banger.
You might want to change the obviously clickbait title for this to 'Interviewer gargles Dino's balls for 30 minutes, asks the same question 7 times and tries to be liked by Dino by shitting on 2 great albums he wasnt on'
Looking forward to checking out Aggression Continuum but this was just a long 30 min album plug.
Great interview, the future looks 👌 with Dino in charge, whoever the new singer is, I'm sure they will be fine....FF is more about the atmosphere / feeling than anything else.
Lol no they wont. Theres something to burtons voice that no one will.be close to. Not even with autotone.
Dino looks and sounds like a nice guy. Nevertheless he has managed to ruin the relationships with all the past band members including even Burton. Raymond, Christian, Byron Stroud, Gene Hoglan...
Tommy vext kicked his ass when he was Dino's singer 😂😂

Also Archetype is one of the best FF records, It destroys both albums before and after it.
Can anyone tell me if messugga or FF was first ?
While Meshugga was around when Fear Factory released Demanufacture, they were a completely different band then. FF changed Meshugga's sound. No one did what Fear Factory did when they released Demanufacture. Lot's have tried since.

Please legends in portuguese. Please

15:42 He finaly admitted Metallica One as a starting point for the whole style and the Self Bias mid part. We all knew it but they would cite Depeche mode as an influence never the real influences. You can hear Metallica throughout Demanufacture - the greatest album ever recorded. Zero signal mid section is Creeping Death riff and Scumgrief is clearly - Battery. Also Death was dooing a lot of double bass stuff even before.
He has admitted that for a long time. As far as the Metallica influences you're talking about, nah, I'm not hearing anything you're talking about there. 'Scumgrief is clearly Battery?' lol
Scumgrief is battery? Like how, there's one note that's the same?
I hope he gets Jared Leto as the new singer
There's more to one side of the drama to cover. Be cooler if you did?
I don't think Burton wants to tell his side. I've read the court documents. Ouch.
Without Burton C. Bell there isn´t Fear Factory. There's a big band anyway and DIno is the main brain but... It'll never be the same anymore.
There's some pretty badass young vocalists out there. We could all be pleasantly surprised...
@_NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST_ I would like to see the vocalist from Sybreed do Fear Factory.
@_NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST_ I love Fear Factory and Burton deserves high praise for his harsh vocals, but most people agree that the singing was always a point of contention with the band. Especially live. They can definitely find someone who can pull off both just as well

Like anyone is gonna take advice on “clearing up band drama” from Dino of all people. He’s a wonderful musician. But he’s not exactly the poster boy for “playing nice” with band mates.
I really hope any new FF album will be better than “Genexus.” That album was as bland as cardboard. Not gonna lie. I regret buying that CD before hearing it first.
As you guys can clearly see, I’m a little upset with FF right now. I’ll definitely be excited to hear a new record. Please don’t let me down again.
#burtonbacktoff
Dino may continue with the bands name, but never again with Burton. And I dont think many fans will accept a new guy sing "Replica" for example. I dont know how Dino wants to continue with FF.

Any singer that comes into the band it will just not be fear factory anymore and it just seems dino is olny doing fear factory for money at this point sorry but it just dont seem right.
This guy is the drama 😆 🤣 😂
New album has great drumming.
If you don’t love all the Fear Factory albums, you’re not the best Fear Factory you could be.
Burton C Bell is just as much FF as Dino Cazares. They're both what made FF such a great band. Truth be told Burton didn't have it anymore. His live vocals were shit. If you can't bring it live you probably should retire. Dino is still a great guitarist he still brings it live. I love Burton have since Soul of a new machine. But his voice is shot from years of abuse hundreds of shows will do that to a voice.
That's only two halves of the whole.... Even Burton himself said that all their music was built around Raymond's drums.... What you have seen since after transgression is not fear factory.... It might be a name but it's not in reality fear factory....fear factory is dead..... But Dino is that one band member the one control freak that continues to hang on and act like everything is just fine but the ships already sunk and he's headed towards the bottom still a submerged ship there's nothing left.... No amount of new talent coming in is going to change that.....
I bought the new record as a tribute Burton. Dino can do whatever the fuck, but this the last Fear Factory record......and I'm fine with that.
