Yes I will be promoting them and looking for things to buy and sell and whatever it takes to get things sorted out. I have an iron block 6.0 I wanted to build as a spare so looks like it's on deck now. haha
We can get parts. The block may be junk but the parts that are on it and in it should be good still. I’m fortunate to have a few sponsors like SCAT and MAHLE to help with a new combo so I can’t complain
Yes we will look at the gaskets closely when we pull the heads. No water in the oil, plugs look good and no sign around the heads anything was wrong. Car was on 9-10# of boost all week so nothing crazy. We’ll all find out together
@@BurndownThat's probably best for your needs. Get a Meziere or a real good one. The cheap ones are not worth it. My Dad and several others have had issues with the cheap ones in the past.
RMRW was super hot, we got "lucky" and had several mechanical and electrical issues on the race car that set us back, we ended up driving allot at night.
I definitely want to replace my headlights in the Boom so I can see better at night. I feel like next year we may be driving at night a bit due to schedule. I like day driving so you can see everything
Weld an aluminum cover on the back of the water pump and it will be good to go. I had the same thing happen at the big end of the track, avoided a crash but it will still make you gun shy of it happening again.
@@Burndown Just finished the video man that sucks for you. When the day comes that you tear down the engine check the head gaskets, it likely pushed coolant and pressurized the system. Mine did anyway.
Dude! Sorry to hear about the block. Hey! On the water pump, you can put some ultra seal on it, press it back in and put 3 or 4 screws in to the aluminum to make sure it won’t pop out again. I wonder if the converter stuff happened before the accident. Not sure how you would tweak those bolts.
Honestly it looks like those broken areas can be welded and not have to worry about it. They didn’t break from too much stress from racing, but in a crash. Will they break again if crashed again like that sure, but I don’t think they’ll break from “normal” use. That part of the block and trans would be fine being welded. It’s not like you’re trying to weld broken main webs back in or the whole bell housing back on. I’d weld it and if you’re still not comfortable with it use it in something else you intend to not run as hard. Just something to consider.
This is what I will probably do. The Maliboom needs a motor that's right for my piece of mind and because of what we are doing with the car. We'll see if I can weld it up. I don't have anything to lose at this point. Maybe it will make a good motor for another project like the pacer possibly.
I don’t think we can get set back too much more. If the turbo checks out then I know where we stand. I have already started moving forward with my plan as well. I did want to change the motor up but I was hoping to use this for the wife’s car. I’ll get her something when the time comes.
😮😮😢 wow bud, you did a number on the old girl.. yeah if I was you anything with water would be at the back of car so if something gives out its not going to get on tires.😮
My poor transmission! Nah, no big deal. You can't loan out racecar parts and not expect people to break them. We'll either repair or replace the case, and I'm sure most of the internals are still good.
Well I have borrowed two and broken both. I appreciate your help and we will get your junk fixed one way or another. I hear that super glue and baking soda works wonders 😁
It fine ultrabell that trans. And i welded my block just like that maybe worst and it still going i have pictures your fine ive seen you welding, i cant w3ld as good and i did it.
It was a gates LS3 style replacement pump. Im still not sure if I got a head gasket so well look this weekend and see if that helped the pump fail or maybe it was just heat and RPM that caused the pressure.
The universe will help me out. She will end up with something. Maybe we will start smaller for her than this motor anyway. Probably better and safer till she is comfortable in the car and can handle it well. We don't all start out with 415" LS motors I guess.. haha
Hey Dane I have the same engine in my elcamino and I broke my belhouse and welded it two years ago still perfect. It make940wheel ..so weld it it will be fine
That's a tough one.. Get right Maliboom! 💣 💥
I read that in a JJ Da Boss voice
@@Burndown You know it!
That's terrible to see the engine and transmission damage. The Boom did her job keeping you safe !
It didn’t look to bad on film but it was a hard hit. The Boom did its job flawlessly
rough but i appreciate your attitude
Coming home to my family is what's important. Lots of cars in the world I can race still!

Mustang life right across the street there! 😂
They were moving. Yes lots of mustangs
Sorry about the boom.. I’m glad your spirit is up and back at it. Looks like you got some 5.0 competition across the street. 💪
They are moving and yes they are mustang fans for sure.
Sorry about your wreck man, you basically tore up almost everything. Hope you can get her rolling again soon.
Yeah I didn’t expect to break it all😆
That sucks man! Sorry 😢

Keep your head up you got this.
One step at a time!
Have you thought that you might have pushed a head gasket and pressurized the cooling system and pushed the plate out of the water pump?
Yes we will look at the gaskets closely when we pull the heads. No water in the oil, plugs look good and no sign around the heads anything was wrong. Car was on 9-10# of boost all week so nothing crazy. We’ll all find out together
Dane did you see the c5 corvette waterpump? It is bolted on the back cover not press. If it will fit your new setup.
Electric will be my go to on everything moving forward I think.

It tweaked them all when it hit the wall. We broke lots of stuff. Walls don't move.

💣💣💣looks good homie
It's been over 100 here by noon the last few weeks 💣💣💣
Yeah it’s about 100 where I’m at. It cools off at night tho so not too bad. I have been to places where it never cools down day or night.

@@Burndown sounds like a solid plan. it’ll make a fine hot rod engine, but for a max effort race engine I understand the lack of peace of mind.

Imperial brand tools
