Hi Marco! Thanks for taking the time to listen to my music. Your perspective is so encouraging and captures my intentions with this music perfectly. :) I was lucky enough to compose this song, and my partner in crime, Laura Intravia, brought it to life with her lovely voice and lyrics.
Sterling, your work is genuinely some of the best, most goosebumps-inducing music I've ever heard (with some breathtaking vocals from Laura as well), and it's gotten me through some rough times in my life. I can't wait to hear what you compose next, whether it's for Arknights or not.
Hi Streling! Happy new year. I don't have much to say but thanks you so much for creating such a masterpiece (and to Laura as well!). Enjoying this theme in the story, and then the full version with lyrics afterward, was a pleasure. Hope to hear more from you in the future!
I'll be honest with you. A lot of us Doctors in the community also can't tell if Arknights is a game or a musical. Every song they released so far is just _* chef's kiss *_
This theme is just fits perfectly after the pain, sadness and brutal things Amiya(The MC) had to experience in her journey but after all of that she went through, she finally gets to avenge everyone she has met, her allies and enemies. Hypergryph is truly a music company!!!
@@chaddedmapipi5789 He is the unwavering Patriot, marching his way through the vast lands of Terra for over two centuries. You think keeping up with UA-cam Arknights uploads is a challenge to him?
"AND WE'LL BURN THE CLOUDS AWAAAYYYY" YES! Also, the violin symbolizes Amiya very much in this OST (she can play it very well) which is her transformation into being a Guard Type by inheriting Ch'en's memories and emotions while confronting Talulah. Spot on as always about that "I'm changing" part because after the confrontation with Talulah, Amiya's perspective and personality literally chances throughout the story of Arknights. From being a nai've, innocent girl to a person with now a purpose and answer for saving/curing the Infected. Would love to see you react to Awaken and March On! which I'm sure you would love because it hits home in orchestra plays.
And the moment where this song plays is one of the most beautiful self-realisation in a game that i've played. The little girl has lived well, no matter how short that existence was, and she carries on every moment.
Tears, every time, it is build up beautifully and when the game goes into auto mode, so the speed matches the music and culminating in the animation, it hits so damn hard when you are in the story.
Yep, this song represents everything you mentioned. It comes in a turning point for the main character, when she has to face the agon of her being a protagonist of the story and start a new chapter in her life. On a more personal note, listening to this for the first time certainly had a long-lasting impact on me. Truly an empowering song.
This piece plays during the absolute climax of the build up of 8 episodes (of which each episode got longer, with episode 8 alone rivaling the word count of a LotR book) where the main character 'grows up' in a sense and all the experience gained before culminates in this climax.

I'd still love to see your takes on 3 songs from Arknights featuring three very different characters from the same home country: Hometown Wind, Towards Her Light, and March On!. They're the leitmotifs for Babpipe, Saileach, and Horn, coded to Scottish, Irish, and English respectively. All 3 are from Victoria, Arknights' version of the United Kingdom. While they all show patriotism towards their country, they all show it in different ways, which their leitmotifs embody beautifully.

Late to the party on this one, because I've been digging into the Arknights OST and I haven't seen this video before. Damn, what a gorgeous song, so inspiring and powerful! I see Laura Intravia is the singer, I've heard her in other works before, like Video Games Live performances, she's pretty incredible, and this one is definitely my favorite performance of hers! She sings another Arknights song I've recently discovered and really, really loved, called "Flame Shadow"! Hope I'll see that one and more AK songs here, there are only bangers so far!
A very surprising morning, seeing a new Marco video is an immediate click but seeing wrathful cerulean flame was a pleasant surprise. This is one of the best osts at the biggest climax of the ten chapters so far in the game. Seeing how Amiya grew both in power and mentally as a character was such a powerful moment, as her and Chen confront Talulah, the source of so much pain. Your review without even seeing the cutscene or images during the battle, was spot on. Another great arknights review. The music from Destiny 2 raids, have some of the best music in the game, such as the sanctified mind , deepstone lullaby, and gahlran’s kingdom of sorrow as few examples. But Arknights other events also have really good music, such as Sui’s boss music, who is real ost, and the 3rd battle ost from stultifera navis. Those are just a few examples. If you want a entire opera song, cara mia addio from portal 2 is a turret opera. Another great video and I’m off to watch the PGR one.
The moment when our little naive daughter (MC) mature, after all the hardships, the lost of important comrades, or even enemies, she can finally showed us how worthy she is to be the leader of Rhodes Island. Can't wait to see the full awakening of The Lord of Fiend.
Until now the meme about HG being a music company instead of a game dev company is still going strong XD Also if you have time, I think you'll love analyzing the ost's for the Lingering Echoes event (Standchen is one of the music from that event).
5:49 Little did Marco knew, how big this part is for the story readers of Arknights. Wrathful Cerulean Flame, such a piece only to be used once, and that one of a chance had weight in the story, that made the overall piece have more impact and value. Thank you (and the person who [probably] suggested this in your Patreon).
I missed this upload and I’m so mad at myself, this is one of the best tracks in the game for my favorite character moment in the game so far. The tragedy and despair being, quite literally I’d say, burnt away to reveal a new power within and overcome the tragedy is incredible and this song captured that perfectly.
my favorite part is when one of Amiya's ring broken and she screams "IT'S GUARDING TIME!!" and then proceed to Guards all over Talulah, truly one of the best Arknights moments of all time.
wooo another arknights music video. dont have much to say this time other than i have been watching pretty much every video and whenever you hit on a game i play, and guess so accurately about lore and whatnot makes me happy. I hope youll eventually hit every game ive enjoyed and more and continue enjoying music without anything holding you back
I've never played Arknights, I've only heard its name but 2 mins into this song, I actually felt like this deserved to be listened to with earphones. Also uncle Marco, I guess you haven't played the game either but what you can pick out of soundtracks and songs always gives me a better idea of what the context is. Honestly just came here because it's your video but stayed to listen to this masterpiece. I'm sitting on my bed in awe.
Even Arknights starts to collab with two different Rhythm games. Which proves that AK is much more than a simple tower defense game, but hey i am up for it. Keep making some banger songs, HG
Great analysis once again Marco! I havent gotten far enough in the story for me to fully understand what's going on in amyia's mind/position, but what i do know about what's happening is being portrayed very clearly with her transformation.
You really should play Arknights in your off-time. It probably won’t be anything like games you’ve played before or future games you’ll likely play. It’s a game that requires lots of thought and patience, and some things won’t be intuitive at first. There isn’t a lot you can find about the game when it comes to the community either since, although the game is extremely popular in China, it is a niche title here in the West, so not a lot of people make content on it compared to what many people are used to for other video game titles. I will also admit, grinding IS important in this game, though it’s not that bad at all since upon completing a stage with 3 stars, you will unlock it’s “auto-deploy” where the game will do the stage again for you, copying your previous actions. Because of auto-deploy, you can just start a stage and leave your phone on while you do something else so it’s very easy. Be wary though, there is some RNG that can take place where maybe an offset animation you normally don’t notice makes it so that your Operator doesn’t defeat an enemy in time, or maybe the enemy or your Operator’s skill has a random effect to a degree which can mess up your auto-deploy. This happens rarely if at all in easier stages, but some boss stages or mechanic-heavy stages need a few do-overs before you can get a perfect auto-deploy. To make your life easier, you can also look up which stages are the most efficient in terms of Sanity cost versus material output. Yes, this game’s version of Resin is called Sanity. It may seem like too much of a time investment at first, might be a little daunting. But I’ve been playing for over a year now, and while there is a lot to keep in mind, in practice it’s not that tough, and you get a LOT in return. The amazing story, all the lovable characters, so much good well-designed gameplay to keep you on edge, and the game still keeps updating with more content. There is a FOMO element to Arknights similar to Genshin which is a turn-off for some people. It’s never bothered me, neither with Genshin nor Arknights so take with that what you will. I look forward to more of your amazing music analysis!
For me this song is Amiya and Rosmontis theme song, it shows all the pain and sorrows they have gone through (amiya inheriting the powers of the demon King and basically have the weight of the world and the infected on her shoulders despite being so young, and rosmontis a girl orphaned at a young age and sold to morally bankrupt scientists who tortured her, killed her brother, and implemented his consciousness inside her, the cost she is now incapable of being able to create memories) but the song also shows that they are growing past they're pain with the kindness of everyone in Rhodes Island and all the experiences and hardships they overcome. Such a great song.
Arknights have some deep tracks too. Sadly I can't afford to play another Gacha game but I can at least appreciate the context - meaning behind each piece. 🙏
I just got into Arknights and I just have to say that the game is just an advertisement for all of the music, inside the game or even outside of the game. I’m still early in the game and I avoid comments on all of the music cuz I know for a fact that there’s spoilers for some dark stuff in there. Boy am I glad I got into Arknights though. But that’s another Gacha game that got me into it just because of the FREAKING GOOD MUSIC.
I'm slowly grinding through the game right now, I can't wait to hear the masterpieces like this one in game! I find the vocal in this track so interesting, the voice has this sort of trembling/fluttering(?) feeling to it in a lot of places that I really enjoy from music that I typically see attributed to a celtic style. I love that feeling because it really adds to the emotions for me. Also, 'Burn the clouds away' is a really cool line~ Things are starting to calm down so I may go back to the (attempt at) daily begging for a reaction to PSO2's Dark to Light, but I'm afraid after February the song I'm rooting for might change - we're getting a new boss, and the snippet of the song we heard in the trailer has me extremely excited to hear it in game!
Well, AK is Music Company after all (Collab with 2 music game, and most of their music are different+ Banger) Not expect you react this, great, great Reaction

what is missing now is a reaction to "double dragons" another musical piece for the finale of the first arc. You would definitely be amazed by that song as well. Happy to see you're enjoying arknights music so much :)
Im glad you click regardless! That means a lot. I really enjoyed this song too
Hypergryph is just a music company with game as their music promotion
The moment when our little naive daughter (MC) mature, after all the hardships, the lost of important comrades, or even enemies, she can finally showed us how worthy she is to be the leader of Rhodes Island.
Can't wait to see the full awakening of The Lord of Fiend.
Until now the meme about HG being a music company instead of a game dev company is still going strong XD Also if you have time, I think you'll love analyzing the ost's for the Lingering Echoes event (Standchen is one of the music from that event).
I did it
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I am so happy he finally made it to this OST. It is definitely my favorite in the entire game. It is so emotional!
Aaaaah the way you point some sounds with your reaction and I be like "YES I HEARD THAT TOO" KSKSKSKS oh god I'm crying
I missed this upload and I’m so mad at myself, this is one of the best tracks in the game for my favorite character moment in the game so far. The tragedy and despair being, quite literally I’d say, burnt away to reveal a new power within and overcome the tragedy is incredible and this song captured that perfectly.
I dont play Arknights but when i heard this song for the first time i got overall chills on my body and its amazing 😍😍
my favorite part is when one of Amiya's ring broken and she screams "IT'S GUARDING TIME!!" and then proceed to Guards all over Talulah, truly one of the best Arknights moments of all time.
wooo another arknights music video. dont have much to say this time other than i have been watching pretty much every video and whenever you hit on a game i play, and guess so accurately about lore and whatnot makes me happy.
:))))
We might have to wait 2 to 3 years or maybe faster for this song to be on Anime
one of the best arknights ost no cap
Even Arknights starts to collab with two different Rhythm games. Which proves that AK is much more than a simple tower defense game, but hey i am up for it.
Keep making some banger songs, HG
I only heard this song once, and now I not only get its title but also a Marco analysis, bit profit today. Thanks!
i thought he would react to towerfierce, but close enough
Great analysis once again Marco! I havent gotten far enough in the story for me to fully understand what's going on in amyia's mind/position, but what i do know about what's happening is being portrayed very clearly with her transformation.
Lowkey i wanna hear you sing this song
Is it just me that wants to cry hearing this?
How do you keep hitting right to the spot so precisely every single time without even the context?..........
A decade of studying music for emotions
You should check out Lingering Echoes theme, it's the event current event in Arknights global, where everything is about opera music
Hypergryph is joked among the Arknights community as a music company disguising as a game company, take that as you will
I just got into Arknights and I just have to say that the game is just an advertisement for all of the music, inside the game or even outside of the game.
I’m still early in the game and I avoid comments on all of the music cuz I know for a fact that there’s spoilers for some dark stuff in there.
Boy am I glad I got into Arknights though.
But that’s another Gacha game that got me into it just because of the FREAKING GOOD MUSIC.
this is one of my favorite song!
Excellent interpretation! Now i will wait your analisis about towerfierce and double dragon
Also, 'Burn the clouds away' is a really cool line~
Things are starting to calm down so I may go back to the (attempt at) daily begging for a reaction to PSO2's Dark to Light, but I'm afraid after February the song I'm rooting for might change - we're getting a new boss, and the snippet of the song we heard in the trailer has me extremely excited to hear it in game!
Well, AK is Music Company after all (Collab with 2 music game, and most of their music are different+ Banger)
Not expect you react this, great, great Reaction
Aaaaa, that give me chill & goosebump when this ost play in game, gladly this ost is in here
Hi Marco, if you need some more brilliant singing in Arknights, you really ought to take a look at Awaken.
I love your reaction and I also like hearing your thoughts on the songs from arknights and any other game
Honestly arknights music's are always nice to listen, and i really love your reaction.
Listening this while waiting the updates. 🎉
Can't wait for Rhythm in Literature react since Global server Official Channel uploaded the song!
one of the best song and underrated song in final arc one finally come to this channel!? also less than 5 days after requiem you also upload another arknight song react!?
amazing! no offense but I take this as a gift for me considering my birthday in this month XD
that being said, thanks a bunch for technical explanation and your interpretation about wrathful cerulean flame, I really appreciate it
I hope one day you also react awaken, towerfierce, and maybe double dragon too. towerfiere & double dragon also part of the song in final arc one and those two also related with this song so it will be good if you complete this series
again, have a lucky day marco! cheer up & keep up the good work
I'd never heard the full version of Amiya's transformation song before. Very cool.
When a Protagonist is born the ost "Now with what do I answer your failure of justice?" For she bore the Cerulean Blade with the words inscribed upon it "Here the fighting stops" 😳
This goes to chapters i have yet to reach, but the meaning behind this song (as the little donke- i mean rabbit gains conviction to her purpose) is not lost on me
Im simple man. I see Arknights or PGR. I click like.
Arknights is truly amazing, I'm also sure you'd like Shinings theme from arknights, it's called winters cleansing.
Can you try react to double dragons? That's also a banger
Everything is arknights is so on point esp the music. The recent event for ebenholz is also on point. They dont fail on doing music being unassociated with the character and story. Hypergryph is really a music company behind a mobile game lol.
Since you checked out this song, you gonna check out Double Dragons too??
thats why i love Arknights soundtracks because theyre made so damn well it hits like a truck but in a meaningfull way
this bgm , turned on during the epic scene in arknights's story.
I recommend, the bgm name is kal;sit team
IMHO glissando in Meditation is sacreligeous (:
With what do i answer your failure of Justice -> The Little rabbit getting a bit angry
It's actually a *novel*
Hey Marco great video as always.
If your looking for any more tracks to listen to I recommend the brigadier soundtrack.
You should start playing today! I don’t think you’ll have time to get to enjoy the event but it’s definitely your style…. You’ll only know if you become a Dokutah
For the longest time, we only had 8 chapters for the main story of the game. This plays at the climax of (what was a for a very long time) the final chapter
Heard of arknights seen bits of it never really wanted to play it until now
I just heard the Lingering Echoes Boss Battle theme for the new event and you should check it out
+ the phase 2 part too
It give off nier automata vibes
More arknights is good to see, big fan
I would love to see you check out the game someday and see the context behind all these tracks 🙂
