Everyone's talking about Eli, Geoff and Tony, but no one is talking about how good Earl did! This couldn't have sound as good as it did without him! Earl, you did amazing on this! Like omg this is amazing!
Earl and Eli completely rocked this, Earl was perfect. And, not to mention all his buffness was about to bust outta that Camp A Capella shirt. Plus he looked so happy being there. I miss you being in the group Earl, hope we get to hear more music out of you.
I am absolutely floored by the beauty of Earl's voice here. I am just... I can't even think of any truly accurate way to describe it. It left me speechless.
I love videos like this. I love VoicePlay anyway, but when groups bring in the public like this camp to do something big, I always get emotional, seeing how everyone is having the time of their life with an amazing group. That's something I've always wanted to do.
God that man can sing. It's like his voice is an angel sent from above. The higher he gets the better it seems. Voice play is wonderful. I will never stop loving you guys. I think this will be played for my child when it's born in December. So good.
1. Never knew a Camp A Capella was a thing. (Awesome to know & hope 2022 allows them to reopen). 2. How has this come up on my UA-cam list at all? 3. AWESOME JOB EVERYONE!! Loved it!
I still get teary eyed listening to this even if it is the 100th time. So overwhelming listening to those who are so passionate about music. Voiceplay, come to the UK!
A+ job guys and campers, I don't know how old all of you guys and gals are but I am old enough to remember when these songs first came out and VP and the Campers did a really good cover, Bravo. As for Earl, he did a fabulous job on singing the lead. But There is NO replacing Steve Perry on the lead vocals of this song. Earl and others have done a A+ job at it but Steve is the Voice of this and the other songs VP did in this video.
THIS cover is perfect for some noob pianist, is amazing, thank you very much. Im learning to play the piano, and this piece cover has a tempo perfect, a few lowly time., thank you.
I have just found voice play and they are amazing 🤩 at the age of 67 am I too old to be geoffs groupie ? That song was a great memory of my time in rock choir
A CLASS ACT! I miss Earl! EXCELLENT! Thank you for including the lyrics. Love the close harmony. I miss Earl. Your performance gives me goosebumps! EPIC!
I really miss Earl and Tony. Tony is a triple threat (can sing, dance and act). He can make you laugh just by his exaggerated facial expressions. Earl's voice is like a ray of sunshine or a rainbow. He is a contagious positive energy. Like a care bear. My favorite part of the video : 2:45 - 3:25
The chorus in the original version, was essentially the outro; the cherry on top of a piece of pop-rock perfection. (Yes, the original was, and remains, pretty darn good.) So having the chorus being used as, of all things, a chorus, is a rather daring move, for such an iconic song. But darned if it doesn't pay off in spades. There are very few songs that I know of, where an a cappella cover arrangement, sounds better than the original. This is one of them.
Two things 1: This is vid is awesome and Earl is awesome for hitting that note numerous times 2: If not for my social awkwardness (and lack of singing ability) that camp looks like so much fun.
@@kn3236 I was about to lay into you like you were a brownie for your comment, then I saw the crying face thing.... I think we can agree that we are still mourning him (obviously he's fine, but we won't get any more of the radiant sunshine that emanates from him). I am still sad about that, he seems like a life sized teddy bear.
Oh, I saw you guys at Disney World during the Christmas Party! It was an incredible show you put on. And I stopped and watched cause I loved your a capella of Death of a Bachelor. Keep up the good music guys!
Beautiful ❤ My heart. This song has special significance to me and to hear it performed by Earl and the others brought chills (and tears). I loved it.❤
It has always amazed me that as a pitchy singer I would never be a singer, but if you get enough of us pitchy singers togerther; we, actually, sound good. I think this is a parable in itself.
i met voice play on saturday and they asked me how i found tthem and i said twenty one pilots and geoff asks if it was the mashup and i said yaes it was so epic all your voicws are incredible especially geoffs your voice is so deep when i heard live i could feel it in my body shaking my heart. they started laughing, then we got a picture, while we were getting the picture layne just goes "i think theres water in your phone" my moms case had fake water and a shell, dolphin snd palm tree. and we just start laughing. hands down sweetest guys ever
I have watched this video about 5 times over the last few years, and I just finally found my self! That camp was so much fun, and having a special appearance from you guys made it a thousand times better!!
I'd love to go to this camp capella. I love singing more than anything and it'd be awesome to be around like minded people. Unfortunately, I live in Florida. Rip.
What a joy to watch! What an incredible experience for all these musicians! Is this camp a yearly event? What a crime covid-19 must have precluded giving kids a similar camp experience this year! Will they have to go back to school this fall? Heaven protect them and their families!
I know this is an old video but I'm brand new to voiceplay and taking a deep dive through the channel. This was such a great idea to to incorporate the kids. Looks like everyone had a blast. Beautiful cover. As an avid hockey fan I couldn't help but notice the kid in the Zibanejad shirt at 1:25.
Loved you guys from Sing-Off, but Earl, you damned well better show this to Steve Perry and the boys. This ROCKS! Especially with the backing of Camp A Capella!

Nice use of polyphony around 2:42. It ranks right up there with what Pentatonix did on "Cheerleader" and Home Free's polyphonic beatboxing on "9 to 5" at some of their concerts.
Can we just talk about how amazing Eli sounds when he comes in with "Oh Sherrie" gives me goosebumps!
Eli is amazing! Fantastic rock opera tenor. He shines.
Can they do the whole song? Eli is so underrated. This was so awesome. The guys all seem chill. Tony has a great voice as well.
Everyone's talking about Eli, Geoff and Tony, but no one is talking about how good Earl did! This couldn't have sound as good as it did without him! Earl, you did amazing on this! Like omg this is amazing!
Yep, we sorely miss him!
Earl is perfect for this song

I really need to go to sleep, but I *have* to listen to this again first.
Just came back to this again. It never gets old. So beautiful!
the beginning....ba dum dum....that guy is seriously awesome....the whole group is superb...but that dude is just as legendary
That's Geoff Castellucci
if you thi k hes good in this, check out voiceplay's disney broadway video and watch till the end

8/13/22. FIRST TIME THAT I'VE HEARD THIS! OUT OF THIS WORLD!
I love how you can hear them smiling
I love videos like this. I love VoicePlay anyway, but when groups bring in the public like this camp to do something big, I always get emotional, seeing how everyone is having the time of their life with an amazing group. That's something I've always wanted to do.
It speaks well of them........agreed!
This song needs to be at 1 billion views instead of 1 million.. like holy crappp!!
I died and went to heaven with this Don’t Stop Believin’/ Head On/ Oh Sherrie/ Open Arms/ Any Way You Want It mega mashup. ❤
Y'all gave me chills. WOW

I think if I saw this in flashmob form I could probably die happy right there and then. What an absolute masterpiece.

I totally agree 😢 I wish they’d return to Voiceplay, and stay with the current members and J None too lol.
I really miss Earl😭😭

Serotonin hack: put 2:37-3:30 on loop
You get props for bringing in other Journey songs!
BRUH I KEEP REWINDING TO 2:26 ITS WAY TOO GOOD
it's amazing how easy Earl makes this sound 😲
Yes! Let's 🔥🎶🤍
Tony! I'll miss you! But remember..Don't stop believin'! Good luck! Voice play! You're amazing :)
Two things
1: This is vid is awesome and Earl is awesome for hitting that note numerous times

Same, I really want to go, but I have anxiety and since i haven't sang since elementary i kinda lost my pipes xD
That incredible and impressive voices Voice Play, what a great emotion with this beautiful song
Oh! Just realized that this includes a tribute to other Journey songs, so beautiful
The main singer (In this song), Earl, anyone else get a sense of just pure positivity from him?
completely, positivity and pure joy
He exudes that in every video, it's seems to emanate from him like warmth from the sun.
He leaves the group😭😭

I LOVE YOUR SONG CAMP A CAPPELA
For me, it all started recording this video with them. A year and a half later, I'm opening for them with my own A Cappella group. This was exciting.
This was so utterly incredible. You boys absolutely smashed it. It's such an amazing song. I just wish it wasn't Tony's last.
i met voice play on saturday and they asked me how i found tthem and i said twenty one pilots and geoff asks if it was the mashup and i said yaes it was so epic all your voicws are incredible especially geoffs your voice is so deep when i heard live i could feel it in my body shaking my heart. they started laughing, then we got a picture, while we were getting the picture layne just goes "i think theres water in your phone" my moms case had fake water and a shell, dolphin snd palm tree. and we just start laughing. hands down sweetest guys ever
Funny thing is... I also found these guys through the twenty-one Pilots mashup.
I found them through Home Free who are also amazingly sweet guys. If I as a guy can say so without having my man card revoked.
I met one of the members which is j none he was really cool, he even gave me his fortnite user. He’s a really cool guy and he’s amazing at singing
I found these humans through the Evolution of Boy Bands and now I am hopelessly obsessed.
This is The Best cover of Don’t Stop Believin’ I ever heard!❤️📺🎶👍🏻
This brings me so much happiness every time I listen to it
Earlier days, still as good.
You guys slay anything and everything you touch! Love you all!!!!! I especially loved this one since i grew up in the 80’s. ❤️
Throughout the complete song I was guessing he would never make the notes on 3:45! Absolutely awesome guys!
I was SO hoping those notes were going to be hit, VoicePlay never lets down!

I was thinking what a great job you guys did with this song and then you mashed up all those other Journey songs in. Amazing!
Gr8 song. Awesome performance. Thx for sharing.
This is an amazing arrangement!!!! I love how you had a group of people help sing!
Found my brother. At the end, he just pulls away from the group, and I can just hear him saying, "Whoa. I just sang with VoicePlay."
Lol! The whole group was terrific!

Just a small town girl
Livin' in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin' anywhere
Just a city boy
Born and raised in south Detroit
He took the midnight train goin' anywhere
A singer in a smoky room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on, and on, and on
Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlights, people
Living just to find emotion
Hiding somewhere in the night
Working hard to get my fill
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin' anything to roll the dice
Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on, and on, and on
Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlights, people
Living just to find emotion
Hiding somewhere in the night
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to the feelin'
Streetlights, people
Don't stop believin'
Hold on
Streetlights, people
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to the feelin'
Streetlights, people
