Having spent the last 17 weeks working and residing in Edinburgh, I have to say it's fast become one of my most favourite places on the planet. It's certainly my favourite city. I've resided in accommodation on the north side of the city centre, the east side, the south side and in the west end. I've stayed in the new town, the old town, up Leith Walk, and even in Dean Village... so I have come to know Auld Reekie considerably well. Having now finished the job I was sent to do, I am now pining after the wonderful place, with its magical history, stunning architecture and views, its cracking eateries and drinkeries, and its warm and hospitable locals. The students and tourists can be a bit rude and annoying though. So I'll only half miss them. But I definitely won't miss the beggars though! Bless you Edinburgh. I'll be back.
Love your videos so much! This was my first in your My Guide series (since I'm still going in reverse order). So wonderful like everything else you do. As soon as I started studying Edinburgh, Dean's Village was the neighborhood outside of Old Town that fascinated me.
Your videos are always so great and helpful!! I'm planning to visit Edinburgh and I've seen all of them, because I get more ideas and find more places to go!! When I had an Instagram account I also used to check your feed!!Great job!! Well done!! 😁😁
Maria Papagianni thank you SO much! That’s so encouraging ☺️ and if you have any video ideas/requests, I’d love to hear them too! Hope you have a lovely visit to Edinburgh one day ❤️

Hi Shawna
Do you prefer using Tinder or Instagram to connect with people in Scotland and elsewhere?
What was that statue sticking half way out of the ground?
Carausius Caesar Hi! It’s part of Antony Gormley's “6 TIMES” installation which is dotted along the Water of Leith 😊
Shawna Explores thank you for the information.
Nice x
