As a local of Manila, lived here most of my life and now lives in the US I am in awe of how you wanted to first visit one of the busiest and possibly dangerous places in Manila-Quiapo. Listen when people say to put your backpack in front. They do care! This is one of the most snatcher/pickpocket prone area. It’s no joke. But so glad you had a really great experience and Filipino hospitality is the best in the world! You make me miss and love my own country more!! Thank you for showing some of the most beautiful places in the Phils !! ❤
Though infrastructure is lagging behind and developing compared to its ASEAN peers, the natural beauty of these tropical islands and the friendliness and hospitality of its people are second to none.
Your natural disposition to connect with the locals is simply amazing. I like your infectious energy and sincere friendliness. Brave souls you are for trying Soup no.5, but that was a fun surprise. 2Go ships are the better vessels plying the Provincial and Island Destinations in the local waters that is widely accepted by many local tourists, businessmen, working and travelling professionals. Your followers like me always appreciate your down-to-earth take of your vlogging style and content creation. Keep up the good work!

Both my parents were 7 and 8 when they migrated to the US. My mom lost her ability to speak Tagalog, but she is still very much fluent in Ilocano. My dad still knows Ilocano and Tagalog. But they never bothered to teach my siblings and I, which seems to be a common “issue” for us American Filipinos. I can understand only some words in Ilocano, but I have been yearning to go to the Philippines. This has helped me so much along with all the other videos! I’ve only been to the PH twice and it was for big events. Like they made my mom queen of Urdaneta City and my cousin a princess. Not sure why. But it was purely a fund raiser thing. We have inheritance home there, so I’m thinking of visiting there then taking my husband to Palawan and Boracay! Thank you so much.
I was smiling the entire time that I watched your video. Our country is really about the people. Glad that you guys felt and enjoyed the warmth and hospitality!😀
I love your Philippine documentary, as it provided me an incentive to visit the Philippines. Thank you for show-casing the cultural aspects, ie, kindness and friendliness of the local people, the cuisine and the sights. Phil is on my destination lists.
Shev and Dev, you are such a joy to watch. Your love of the Philippines and Filipinos is palpable. I love your interactions with local folks - so sweet and fun! My 93-year-old dad found your video and is enthralled. We’re Filipino American and he hasn’t been back since 2007. He can’t travel anymore so watching your Philippines videos are so much fun for him. I hope you keep visiting the islands! 🥥❤🥥

Hi Shev & Dev! Welcome to our country Philippines! I’ve watched this particular vlog of yours a few days ago and it just tickled me so much, though I didn’t realize that I forgot to subscribed. Luckily, this morning, still feeling sleepy and dozed off, I heard this vlog again! I started watching it and for the second time it was sort like playing a song and just started to sink in and the more I watch it the more it started to grow in me. It made me wonder why I didn’t subscribe any sooner. Guys, I love your energy and I feel your love for our people! By the way, about your haircut comparison from El Nido being more expensive, it’s because El Nido is more of a Tourist destination as compare to Quiapo. For some reason Quiapo was under rated or was never a place to recommend for tourist as it used to be notorious; remember what the lady vendor told you about your back pack needs to be on your chest? This is an old lady who must have witnessed a lot of snatching, pickpockets back in her time, though it’s been decades that our government has improved this issues, although we still have some incidents every now and then but not as bad as it used to be! Well, with all that said, zi know that you are kind to our people, but a little generosity, few change as tips would certainly not break your pockets. This genuine group of bloggers had become so popular in the Philippines because they immediately showed their compassion for our people and gracefully showed generosity . I am not begging for them but just giving you an idea to help your channel grow faster than you could ever imagine! Filipino viewers or subscribers are the number leading You Tubers! Plus, we are loyal once we subscribe we support you all the way and word of mouth goes around! Do not be stingy and whiny! You must remember that your country is so much richer than yours and Philippines is a “Developing Country”, third world, so to speak. Again, I am not begging for them nor am I imposing on you guys. Food for thought, watch these 5 bloggers; you’ll see why their channel skyrocketed in no time and became to popular faster than they could have ever imagined. 1. Walk with Ali 2. World Nomac 3.Davud 4. ( Bummer, I forgot his name!) 5 Travel Chronicle Filipinos just love bloggers and I’d say they love you guys to invite them on your vlogs and 50% does not ask you guys for your Channel’s name because they get carried away i. Their wanting to get to know and carry a conversation with you and so they forget to ask for your Channel’s name, but if they do it is a sign that they want to subscribe so don’t wait for them to ask because a “A LOT OF TIMES” It slips out of their minds… I figured it’s because English isn’t really our native tongue and words are just not that easy to compose in our heads as to when your language is your own; though majority speaks it because English is our 2nd language and it’s taught from day one in our schools and used as a medium of teaching because of our history with the Americans. Even if most of our people can speak it and comprehend it, the language barrier gets in because of so many “foreigner’s accent” and this is why you would noticed a frequent “ duh reactions from them.” Can you imagine the “EFFORT” for them to construct a whole sentence at the back of their mind just to respond to your question and at the same time you already must have switch to 10 subjects and still they are lingering on your first question? It’s ironic but it’s funny too! Filipinos are basically loving and naive and genuinely compassionate people. They love to take care of their family which makes them one of the clannish people in this world. Family does not only limit in their house but outside as well. This is why “All Foreigners who visits” are treated just like their brothers and sisters, Mom and Dad! We love positivity that’s why we still manage to SMILE even if we are a victim of notorious weather disasters 26 times a year! Life goes on, no matter what. A bad weather or any calamity is temporary but SMILE on Filipino faces is FOREVER! This is why “IT’S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES!!!” I wish you the best in my country and zi hope you’ll keep my advice on hand because I guarantee you a huge number of subscribers! Stay candid and fun, and do not say anything negative, Filipinos sense it immediately. Always say good things, sarcasm is not understood by many, not the western way anyway. Be direct to the point but in a literally slow speaking manner if you want to be understood. Not all the words in your statement are understood but their comprehensions are usually because of the difference in accents. I wish for your channel to grow big and faster, so keep all these advice with you guys! Yes, Filipinos are starting to discover your channel! Many foreign bloggers have decided to live in our country because it’s lucrative for them! Good luck and God Bless you guys!
MABUHAY!!! We are happy to receive tourists and know our people and diverse cultures. I like your vlog and your happy disposition inspite of challenging situations like typhoon and flooded streets. You are very friendly and not complicated people. You are very positive, optimistic duo. Good-spirited people. But I think please include or mention the exact names of places you are vlogging from for good Infos for people who wants to go too. Good vlogging. You are always welcome to visit our country and people. Keep Safe and GOD BLESS!!! 💖🇵🇭😇

Filipinos just love bloggers and I’d say they love you guys to invite them on your vlogs and 50% does not ask you guys for your Channel’s name because they get carried away i.
