Really satisfying watch. Better weather and your usual comprehensive review. Great to see the big man in top form. Looked like he enjoyed his steak. The stove is a belter. Thanks Paul. Ian
Thanks Ian. I feel like i'm in the living room with this thing going. The heat and options for cooking are fantastic. When we packed down it was flipping cold outside. lol
Nice to hear Peter being more interactive on cam than previous vids 👍. This stove is too large for me but really appreciate the feature rich compact footprint design.. absolutely blows the competition in this segment away imho. I'll check out the smaller offerings.
What a great review! Your camping has reached a whole new level. I have a small wood burning stove for my tent, but you’re right, having an oven is almost like being at home. Well done.
How much wood did you use and how often did you have to keep filling it with wood? How long g did the food take to cook? All that time watching you measure it and I feel like you left some of the most useful information left out
I just got myself one of those and find it fantastic too. Only thing is, I noticed when you first put it on you had no smoke at all coming out from the front or the ring at the top, whereas I seem to get quite a bit until it settles. Any suggestions?
Nice video Paul. Just ordered one, get it Friday. I already have a Frontier stove, so this is a nice edition having an oven for extended camping trips and food that normally goes in an oven can be cooked.
My own sister passed a few days ago. She also was mentally ill. I loved her deeply, but it could be difficult. It was difficult. I desperately wanted to protect her, but seldom could really.
Hi, great video, thanks, I was going to put a caravan on some family land but am considering going all out and building a shack instead and this was going to be a heating and cooking source, my question is, do you think that it could handle a roaring coal fire or is it really only suited to logs?
Yeah i agree Si, it's a car camp or garden, boat, shed ect. The tent was toastie warm. If you could carry it a few miles i would say you probably should be living with the beasts because you are one!
Hi. Are you in a 3m tent? If so seems that the stove doesn't look too dominent. Thinking of getting a stove and this looks perfect but was worried it might be to much in a 3m bell. Thanks for the vid.
Got one of these for my van conversion I'm carrying out at the moment - won't lie, I took the biggest sigh of relief when you suggested it can go anywhere (including a van)! Installation is going to be interesting though, haven't quite figured it out yet 😂 wish me luck!
It is a GREAT STOVE. Can I get one of these in the USA? It reminds me of a mini version of my grandmother's stove she used for cooking. She would have me bring in wood and then cook me whatever I wanted.
Think it’s a brilliant set up. Peter seem thrilled with stake & chips. Must be good with a double thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻 from him. Think with some extra wood on peter might have to get the flying jacket off whist he eats the meal
Yeah i wanted to get a bit more wood on. We decided to let it die down so we could get back to edit and upload before midnight! I was surprised how warm it was even with the door open.
Nice review Paul, I think I have just found a replacement for my Frontier Stove. This Outbacker could cook everything in a power cut situation, as I was thinking about how to do oven stuff (Fray Bentos pies, Pizza, etc) now that problem has been solved. I presume I can still use my Frontier Stove water heater on the Outbacker as I do on my Frontier Stove, if the chimney is the same dimensions for the locking system on the water heater.
That stove looks great! Would be great if they do a stainless steel one so I could leave it in my shack all year without worrying about rust. The flue pipe should be female (flared) end to the top of the pipe, and male to the bottom, backwards logic, I know, but the creosote that the wood produces won't leak down the outside of the pipe and possibly catch fire on the stove top of they're fitted that way. The chimney effect of the flue will stop dangerous gasses escaping through the 'upside' down pipe joint, if you're unsure then light a taper and watch the flame when you put it against the flue joints. Home wood burners are the same logic. Your clean flue pipes will be a joy to handle once you fit them the other way. Cracking good vids, Trangia got another customer thanks to your videos, absolutely love the thing! Thanks!
That’s a very nice looking oven. Obviously overtime, you’ll begin to get better at gauging the temperature for baking things. I know there are those mechanical fans that people put on top of their woodstove to spread the heat around, I wonder if there’s a smaller one to put inside the oven that would do the same thing?
I subscribed recently du to your woodland kitchen series and reviews. I really enjoy the interaction between you and Peter, classic. Although I now have three Trangia stoves kits and now? Well, now I have to have that stove. Keep it up and hope you get better soon.
Looks like a great stove and a great, detailed review :) It's too big for me, even to take in my little camper van, let alone carry it out for a wild camp in me hammock. If I was in the market, this would be top of my list. oh - hi Peter :) good to see you back!
Officially, I'm sure the answer would be no, however I have one of these stoves without the oven and I'm considering using it this winter because of the 'energy crisis'. Installers are so busy that I haven't yet managed to find one to fit a proper stove so...
peter fecking cracks me up..... He should have his own channel for comedy... Actually paul you should do a video of all peters funniest moments/phrases. Wicked stove mate and a good price, ive added one to my backet an am going to buy end of march pay packet ;) Great vid mate
Excellent review Paul, I have the outbacker fire box stove. I have carried that 2 miles and a full pack. It’s hard work but once it’s set up in the tent it is absolutely awesome, I just can’t leave home without it now, even if it does end me lol. Nice to see Peter out with you as well, can I ask you the weight of it and how far did you have to carry it in, it’s a big en
It says on the website 16 kg. I carried it about 300 meters to that spot. With two people holding a handle each it would be much easier. Peter has a hernia so he cannot help me with it. I just want to go out and use it lol
Wow...that is camping in style! Great video!
Now that's what I call living, love it, I'm having me one of those stoves.
I really like the stoves that have an oven. Very nice. Thanks. :)
Thanks for watching!
Very interested in knowing how long it took to cook the steak, pizza and chips? Great if you can provide this information
That stove is really adorable! I love function while being aesthetically pleasing!

There's a stove for everyone's needs in their range. Great stoves Paul.

I'm definitely buying one of these for me and the Grandchildren. Thanks guys and you didn't forget anything Paul !
We love it!

Might be the type of wood you are using.
Nice video Paul. Just ordered one, get it Friday. I already have a Frontier stove, so this is a nice edition having an oven for extended camping trips and food that normally goes in an oven can be cooked.
Lovely piece of kit and well explained
It is Jason ;) Thanks for watching.
Very enjoyable video. Nice to see you and Peter well “in tune”.
Thanks, Peter was on form ;)
My own sister passed a few days ago. She also was mentally ill. I loved her deeply, but it could be difficult. It was difficult. I desperately wanted to protect her, but seldom could really.
One of your better reviews Paul, very enjoyable, Good to see Peter in good form. A double thumbs up from me

Sorry Keith ;) You will love it tho. Worth every penny.
Im getting one these if the oven is a sealed unit can ypu use amframitet coal in stove? As well as logs ?
That's an awesome bit of kit, don't fancy carrying it far but if I had a place like Sam's I'd be looking at one

Really nice oven stove ! :) Thinking of buying one for the winter camping trips I do with my family. Keep up the good work! :)

How long did it take from start to finish for heating the pizza & chips in the oven ?
Around 25 mins or so.
@@PaulBissekerBushcraft Thanks Paul for the info
I think you meant 26cm not inches for the height )first measurment)? Because the width you said is 55cm.
THANKS Paul& Peter. Love the vid .
Thanks Richard
That's a huge tent man what is it? Sorry if I missed you saying I fast forwarded through the measuring the stove
yes mate, loving the DnB intro
Another great video mate. That’s the most work I’ve ever seen peter do lol
He didn't know i was filming lol

I got a stove on back door of my van. I still have functioning door and a stove, that can be turned to outdoor grill in seconds
I might use it in my home this winter!
It is a GREAT STOVE. Can I get one of these in the USA? It reminds me of a mini version of my grandmother's stove she used for cooking. She would have me bring in wood and then cook me whatever I wanted.

The old fashioned way of cooking and heating.
Loved this :-) A great time had by all * Double thumbs up.x

Thanks Seb, i will give it a try. Love the Trangia stoves ;)

The trays completely fill the space so there isn't any room for a fan. I know what you mean tho. Thanks for watching ;)
What's the difference between this and the pro eco version. Thanks guys
I believe the eco one has a secondary burn.
Could I use this on a small cabin cruiser

My man is carrying around a micrometer 😂🤣

Yes i cut mine to 9 inch

Lol
I find it pretty funny that you have a wood stove going and you are eating with all you cold gear on even your gloves! why?
I hate when people use Inches. Kilos are so much easy
I'm at the age of knowing both growing up. US still use inches. Metric make so much more sense tho.
is that ya girlfriend with ya
