You have to be very careful about the wind direction! Had a setup just like yours, with the pipe pointing straight out. During the night, the wind changed direction and was blowing into the pipe, which filled our tent with smoke and fumes. I would suggest adding a 1-2 foot vertical upright piece to your smoke vent. Just a thought. 😊
I was thinking the same you need an up draft . I would also suggest taking some small machine screws drill four holes around your flashing on each corner and take some epoxy and push your screws out to the outside and epoxy them against the flashing on the inside . Then take a tin plate with foam seal around it the same size of your flashing and drill the holes to match your pattern on your machine screws. When you are done camping put the cover over your flashing and take some wing nuts and secure to the cover that way you will be sealed and not get any rain water inside on your bedroll and blankets./ easy peasy love video dude love the dog what a sweetie I sure miss my Pug Gizmo

That is awesome! Did the little stove provide enough heat and work okay? I'm SO GLAD Ellie is back to normal, she is adorable. Be glad she wants constant attention, our dog passed and I wish he was still here craving attention.
Love the adventure into the woods. I love the peaceful look on Ellie face enjoying her travels in the woods. Looking forward to seeing your next journey. Take care to all!!
That micro-fire is a great addition to the bike cabin. Especially at night when you can turn out all the lights and just have that hypnotic & calming natural fire glow - with a whisky too no less! Thanks again, Steward Fam for making my Tuesday nights great. Love from Scotland. 🥃 🏴
We heated our house with a wood stove for years and loved it. The heat is so dry, it seems to warm you to the bone. The wood stove was a great idea and really looks great in the bike camper. It looks like Ellie is enjoying the wood stove and it's good to see her feeling better!
These are my goto videos when I have watched world news too much. Makes me calm, then it makes me want to spend more quality time with my wife and children. Also, when he prays over food etc., it warms my heart! We need stuff like this in today's uncertain world! Thanks for all you do TCL!
It’s nice to know that people genuinely appreciate and enjoy just how beautiful nature really is…I wish the world could go back in time before all the hustle and bustle of big cities 😊
I really appreciate your videos. In the woods like that with your dog living an amazing dream. At least I can live my life through you once in awhile. Thanks for my little vacation in my mind.
That rando camp chair was pretty creepy. But what was sweet, was Ellie sleeping in front of the little camper stove. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the whole family.

I just found your channel and im so thrilled that you are a Christian!! Im an old lady now but in my youth, i could totally do this as long as there were others with me because no way would it be safe for one woman. How awesome to live rent free and travel with your gorgeous dog. He must be good company especially his warmth during freezing nights. Im happy you talk and explain the things you do and your thoughts. A few channels of men living in tiny self built tiny homes, they never say a word and i find it boring.
Welcome!! I absolutely love this lifestyle. I actually don’t live this way full time, but get to do it once a week and am so grateful. Simplicity is the best 😊
That wee stove!!!!! I love it!! Hearing the wind through the trees when you turned off your flashlight was so cool!!! As always, seeing Ellie romping in the forest with you is fantastic!
Just discovered your channel a few weeks ago. The bike cabin amazing and looks super cozy. I generally watch as I am winding down for the night as the ambience is ridiculously comforting. Glad to see Ellie back at it as well!! Thank you for all that you do. Can't wait to see what 2024 has in store for you! Cheers from AZ!
Thanks for another great mini adventure, Jack! I have to say though, right before you mentioned the second part of the woods had a bit of dark feel to it, I thought the same thing; not a big deal but a slight shift in energy. Your videos are like bedtime stories grandparents read to you, so peaceful and heartwarming! Journey on. 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for another really atmospheric camp Jack! The bike cabin is a tiny marvel, and will be super cozy with your tiny Woodstock. Lovely to see Ellie charging around feeling wild and free, and you in your happy place😊

Thank you Jack for another great adventure. What a beautiful place that was , so calm and tranquil. Ellie loves her adventures and patting ❤, she is just so adorable. The pine trees smell so gorgeous. Thank you Jack , can't wait for the next adventure ❤
Are you referring to the empty chair next to him? NEVER MIND: I commented before I got to the chair you commented on. YEAH!!! CREEPY…Most likely left by a hunter.
So happy to see Ellie felling spry again! I don’t know what it is but I really like that bike camper of yours! That stove is really nice if you can get it to last longer so you’re not feeding continuously all night😮!
Such a lovely adventure in the woods! Absolutely love the adorable wood stove for the bike cabin. Ellie looks styling in her orange vest. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!
Love the tiny wood stove! Now that's just perfect tiny cabin. And fun to watch Ellie as a sous chef 😄13:06 and small deer is cool too 21:13 Small things make tiny cabins greater.
I made a similar microcabin. I finished the interior with 1/2" foam insulation. It doesn't weigh much but definitely adds a huge amount of heat retention. Ellie is such a great dog.
Hey Jack! Great to see you and Ellie out in the bike cabin again! Love the little wood stove but I would probably change that flimsy wood shelf for a metal one to be a bit safer! Take care and see you next week!
Good to see ya again bro looks like im going to be sleeping in my tent here soon as this shelter has been using me for free labor...would be nice to have what you have...prayers for yourself and for me these are hard times and I love how u get the best of it by doing these videos!
Your woods looks like a young version of Sleepy Hollow. Love the stand of White Birch... I always thought they were peacefulness inducing as a kid - still do!. Dogs rule!
Hi jack and Ellie , it was so nice to see Ellie running through the woods she looked so good. Love the little heater it looks just right for that size cabin. And Jack if Ellie wants them pets and kisses you give them to her , cause you are her person 😊 she chose you , I know you wouldn't give nothing for her ❤
The wood stove is a great little addition to your cabin! It’s so wonderful to have the unconditional love from Ellie!🥰🥰 Hikes are always fun in the fall. I love the different style of cabins you have to choose from to go on your adventures! Merry Christmas to Jack, Riley, Olivia and Ellie!!🎄🎄
@@TinyCabinLife may I make a suggestion, very inexpensive, easy to install and will almost make the stove unnecessary in all but coldest times? Get some Mylar Survival blankets and staple to inside of studs, rafters, joists...will make that thing toasty and you really should have a vertical exterior part to your chimney, about 30 inches high, to prevent back flow
Very nice cosy cabin. I think you can cover the plywood under the wood stove with plaster made of simple mud from ground outside. That’ll make it somewhat fire safe from heat or falling ambers from the wood stove.
MERRY CHRISTMAS! This came across my feed a few minutes ago. Not sure if I will hang around but when you prayed over your meals, I am on board. Will binge for a while. Thank you. God Bless and stay safe.
Great video as always! That walk in the darker wood with the random chair was more than a bit spooky 😳 especially in the dark with a torch! Happy Christmas and New Year to you and all your family and thanks so much for the fabulous videos this year
A video worthy of the widest of smiles. Sweet little stove. Sweet interaction between you and Ellie. Funny how you could describe the forest as empty but yet it's so alive. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Oh my goodness, what an adorable little stove. I lived the little sticks you put in it. Such a sweet ambience. And your darling pup. How great to have such a sweet pup to camp with. 🏕 Loved the video.
Merry Christmas guys, all the way from the South Island of New Zealand. Loving your channel. Your journey you bring us on. Look forward to seeing more adventures with your family.
Hello my friends 👋 Awesome Adventure 🤠👌 It was great to watch this Video. I wish you a Merry Christmas here from Germany. Take care , Thomas & Sally 🤠🦮🌲🏕🔥🌲
Nice to see you again. That little stove is awesome! I bet it was comfortable sleeping. Ellie looked like she was having a good time again. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Spilling the coffee is worse than spilling the whiskey. You spill the coffee you have no cure for the whiskey. You spill the whiskey you cry a little and go to sleep. 😊
I love your videos. That stove was a neat little gizmo. I love that you also put blaze orange on Ellie to keep her safe. Stay safe. Looking forward to the next video.
I love the little wood stove but I agree it would need to be attended to a lot to stay comforteable thoughout the night. Here may be the solution, I watch another video where someone made a small oil heater using a Military Ammo can. Very simple design and it even uses a small computer fan on the heater exchanger (totally optional.) Reading through the notes they say running constant uses about a gallon of vegetable oil in a week. The only thing I didn't like was the wick they used. I would repalce it with a piece of Carbon felt which will wick up abould anything and the great thing is it won't burn away. Carbon felt is like a forever wick that never needs replacing.Lookinv forward to the next video so here is the like to the video I was taking about: ua-cam.com/video/0SkqZny87Ew/v-deo.html
I love the little prayers before you eat your food. I am a a Christian and for years always forgot to say grace and thank for the food I get so easily everyday. I went out with the boys a few months ago and that really changed everything. I was so glad every time we caught a fish after hours and my friend finally reminded me of how we should always say a small prayer before we eat cause we don't know if we may get any next time.
Your tastebuds are extremely easy to please. I don't think I ever saw anyone so excited about canned soup and a wrap with chicken cold cuts and cheese.
The mini cabin is very practical and has a stove too, and Ellie really enjoyed it too. By the way, are there no wild animals there? like a bear for example?
There are bIack bears in PA where I Iive that wiII run from humans 99% of the time, and even tho l Iive right across from the woods I'm not too worried about them. I wouId personaIIy have bear spray at the Ieast, preferably a firearm as well on the off chance you run into a bear that doesn't foIIow the ruIes. Even in winter, bears who didn't pack on enough pounds can be drawn to food smells. I keep pepper spray and a firearm handy just in case. The rare attacks from bIack bears can be predatory and dogs for some reason, seem to be involved in a Iot of bear/human interactions. I just want peopIe to be safe and their pets as weII. Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. Love the mini adventures in the woods, reminds me of my own childhood camping and enjoying the beauty of nature. ❤😊
Wow my good friend Jack, this must be upgrading for the Christmas season 😂, I love it !!! Travel trailer cabin, family cabin and now the bike cabin...it's awesome and love all the great upgrades 🎉! I had not a clue they made a wood stove that tiny 😊. Thank you so much for your recent video and I watched it ten time's. I hope you and family are having a great week!!!
the forest floor seems pretty dry and crunchy. You might invest in a piece of steel window screen and make a spark arrestor for the smoky end of your stove pipe. Speak arrestoor might save you from starting an unintentional fire- we are really paranoid about wildfires here in Colorado. That is one tiny stove. Thanks for the video, happy holidays.
Nice . Just you and your best friend enjoying nature and the comfort of each other's company. Love the little wood stove it looks cozy. God Bless you and yours. Please stay safe. Happy Holidays everyone.!!!!
As much as I like the mini wood stove and the mini camper... your dog is beautiful! Such and old soul and clam. Glad you and he can enjoy such nice adventures..🙏❤
Really enjoyed this! Boy you really camp off the beaten trail. Do you ever encounter other people? I bet that whiskey hit the spot! Love Ellie. I also love how you thank God before your meals and how you don't take anything or anyone for granted. God Bless you and hears to many more adventures!
@@TinyCabinLife I think you're very courageous and I like the fact that even though you're married, you both stay independent. That's admirable. Plus, you get to miss each other. Can't do that if you're always attached to the hip. :)
When you sat in the abandoned camp chair, I expected you might say "I guess this was where he was sitting when the Sasquatch got him". I enjoyed today's story of man and dog. Thank you.
Hi Ellie baby! You're such a pretty girl. I love to watch you run and play in the woods and I'm glad your daddy is there to watch over you. I like that you wear a coat when it's cold. Tell the guy with you not to make you watch him eat, that's rude. He needs to give you a treat when he eats so you don't feel left out. So glad the good Lord was watching over you while you were sick and that He brought you out of that situation. You're a good girl and I love you lots! Oh, and tell the guy with you hello too.
I suggest you to keep some Coal Briquette in your Camper. They not burn but glow and a 1 pound Bar is enough for 30-60 Minutes. Against the Carbon monoxide, you can simple add a Ventilation system with an opening from the outside (with het against Insects) and another Opening, a simple PC Fan, a Speed Control and Power from a small Powerbank. Maybe you can add somewhere a watertight Compartment with some Tools, like a foldable Handsaw and other Important Stuff like a First Aid Kit.
I have suffered depression on and off since my teens, i am 51 be 52 in June. During my husband being in hospital in November for over 3 weeks you really kept me going ❤

That was the cutest little wood stove Jack☺️ Looked warming & relaxing too! I think Ellie enjoyed that warmth😊 That camp chair out in the middle of the trail between the trail was so random. Maybe the previous owner had such a cool experience out there they decided to leave it for the next person to enjoy a similiar experience💚 Funny how it started snowing as soon as you two were ready to leave🤭 Continued blessings guys🙏
Really Love when ur video comes up. It was pitch dark out there. Ellie is doing so good. That little wood stove is so tiny as big as ur hand but u definitely couldn't put a bigger one in there. Hi Jack, just came across your channel and I love your tiny portable cabin! I quickly scrolled around the comments but didn't find any answer to your question about the darker grove of trees. Could be a poplar. Have a look at the fallen leaves and get a good tree guidebook. Collins publishes good ones. In any case it's a young forest with kolonist trees like birch, poplar, alder. All of which are from the same broad family.
Oh and a tip: never collect firewood from the ground. Even in dry weather there's more moisture in them and you'll produce more smoke. Look for dead standing little trees with bark peeling off. Get a folding saw and learn how to split the logs with a hatchet or bushcraft knife and you'll always gave dry firewood, even if it rains.

Nice to see you again. That little stove is awesome! I bet it was comfortable sleeping. Ellie looked like she was having a good time again. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I love your dog. I've had hounds all my life because they love the woods so much. Just like Ellie.
I sometimes forget too but it’s such a great thing to do 👍🏽👍🏽
I love these videos! Wish I could go out there and do this kinda stuff
😊🙏🏽
Your tastebuds are extremely easy to please. I don't think I ever saw anyone so excited about canned soup and a wrap with chicken cold cuts and cheese.
Haha I’m a simple man 😅
The mini cabin is very practical and has a stove too, and Ellie really enjoyed it too. By the way, are there no wild animals there? like a bear for example?
There are black bears but they don’t usually come around people 👍🏽
There are bIack bears in PA where I Iive that wiII run from humans 99% of the time, and even tho l Iive right across from the woods I'm not too worried about them.
I love your cabin life, wish to experience a life like that someday. You inspired me a lot., Jane here from Philippines🙂
Howdy!! Thank you so much!! We really appreciate it! Hope you’re well too!
Doing better and thank you for asking ☺️. I hope you and your beautiful family are having a great Thursday. Craving one of your cabin burritos 🌯 😋
the forest floor seems pretty dry and crunchy.
Great times Brother.
😁👍🏽👍🏽
Nice . Just you and your best friend enjoying nature and the comfort of each other's company. Love the little wood stove it looks cozy. God Bless you and yours. Please stay safe. Happy Holidays everyone.!!!!
Thank you so much! Same to you!
As much as I like the mini wood stove and the mini camper... your dog is beautiful! Such and old soul and clam. Glad you and he can enjoy such nice adventures..🙏❤
Thank you so much!!
Your camper looks very comfortable & your wood stove only adds to it. Thanks for the adventure.
Our pleasure!
Really enjoyed this! Boy you really camp off the beaten trail. Do you ever encounter other people? I bet that whiskey hit the spot! Love Ellie. I also love how you thank God before your meals and how you don't take anything or anyone for granted. God Bless you and hears to many more adventures!
Thanks so much!! The closest I ever got to seeing someone happened just a week ago. Usually I don’t see anyone 👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you.
I look forward to the release of all of your videos. Thanks so much for bringing us on your adventures. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I love animals more than people!!!!!!!
Great ideas!
I have suffered depression on and off since my teens, i am 51 be 52 in June. During my husband being in hospital in November for over 3 weeks you really kept me going ❤
I’m really humbled by that 🙏🏽 I hope you’re doing better
@@TinyCabinLifeyes I am getting there, it's been a tough time. He had been in hospital in September, October. Had a couple of surgeries. He's a paraplegic. Pressure area occurred got infected he was very poorly. But he's recovering now
Cheers 🍻 Jack and ellie another great video thanks
Our pleasure!
Ah, bicycle, wooden bivvy sack, and a dog. Perfect weekend.
Yesss totally!
Love all the tiny stuff the stove and mason jar was cracking me up
😅👍🏽
Hi!! Guys I wanted to say I really Love Elli she is a trooper and such a precious friend!! She is definitely such a gorgeous sweet Lady!!🥰🙏🏻
Thank you so much!! 🐕❤️
I know! I just went yesterday again and it snowed a couple times during the day 🙌🏽
Love the little wood stove. It adds a lot of ambiance to the tiny cabin. Merry Christmas. Stay warm, stay safe
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too!
My girl Ellie is looking great, thanks for taking good care of her
You bet!
Really Love when ur video comes up. It was pitch dark out there. Ellie is doing so good. That little wood stove is so tiny as big as ur hand but u definitely couldn't put a bigger one in there. Great seeing the woods at night and in the day they aren't as scary. Merry Christmas to you and Riley and Olivia's first Christmas and Ellie doing better. Truly are Blessed. ❤🎋🎀🎄💝💕🥶❄️☃️
Agreed 😊🙏🏽 Merry Christmas to you too
Golden retrievers are such good companions
