I have received this week my Fiido D1 11.6 Ah. I was looking for an inexpensive bike with large batery, to get most range per buck. It's my first and could be my last e-bike. I also own 2 regular bikes and a Xiaomi 365 electric scooter, so I can compare. I am dissapointed about the D1. The throttle mode is fun, the bike is very fast, but in this mode the range, as I expected, is only 30 km. I was hoping if I pedal I could get much further, but the pedal assist mode in this bike is TOTALLY CRAP. It is very slow and, if you try to pedal faster, the bike, instead of helping you, it is blocking you. You have driven a lot of Fiido models, plus HIMO Z20, plus ... Is the pedal assist mode any better in other models, or am I missing something about electric bikes?
After unlocking mine goes up to 36 km/h max only electric (without peddling) on a flat surface. That is even only when the batteries are fully charged. How do you even get 40+ on the bikes meter without peddling??

The back brakes are not well installed, or the wheel, it has a pulsing feeling which is very annoying. I tried to tighten correctly the back wheel spokes but the brakes keep to pulse. Has anyone fixed this?

There seems to be a different version sold somewhere else.. Where did you get your bike from? I have bought my D4s in 2020 and D4s Pro in 2021 from banggood, they both did work. As all other Fiido models, except the D11 which can not be unlocked. And D3s Pro came unlocked out of the box.
Do you feel that the extra gears and rear suspension of something like the d2s makes it more useful? Less annoying to pedal, climb etc. I'm debating between d4s and d2s
D2s is my least favorite because 25km/h limit. And gears are useless going with electricity I'm always in a top gear on d2s. With d4s gears make sense and it's actually pretty cool bike to ride even without assist. So I would rate my picks D4s favorite D2 D1 D2s meh

I'm a youtuber and a business partner with banggood. Put my D4s orders on July 1. It still took 1.5 months to ship the first bike... :D I'm still waiting for others to arrive, only two D4s bikes has been shipped so far. And this is not banggood's fault.. basically Fiido made a shitty croundfunding taking money in July for bikes they have not even manufactured yet and lying about having stock.
This speed limit thing on electric bikes is NONSENSE. I was going 22mph on my D4S the other day. And two guys on regular racing bikes passed me. They had to be doing at least 24 to 27mph. So you either have a speed limit for bicycles FULLSTOP. Or this is just picking on ebike users.

I’ve just got one last week…..The new style display now shows E2 flashing…. That is it unlocked. Note it only unlocks max speed when using the throttle, the pedal assist is still restricted which is disappointing. I’ve ordered a different controller and display for mine .
@@johnstinkpants hi , yes ..with the new controller and display its like a completely different bike ... unlocks the top speed to the maximum the motor will do and the motor kicks in instantly you start peddling.... I followed Jonas Krugs video on UA-cam.... same parts exactly...the difference in performance is amazing... its pretty easy if you follow his video ... I got the parts from Ali Express....

Nah, you should never trust the website you’re buying from in terms of range, a bit of looking around will find you the real range on most of these e bikes
I’ve bought this bike recently. I only tried it indoors. My question is when I start pedaling on level 1, after a while el. engine launches and accelerates the bike. However when I stop pedaling the engine keeps accelerating (without using a throttle). In order to quit engine support I have to press the break. Is that normal that after stopping paddling the engine keeps on going?

You need a 1000 W motor to reach a true speed of 50 kmph. If the fiido D4s has a 250 Watt motor. The highest it can reach after being unlocked is a true 25 kmph. Most bikes are doing 22 when they say 25.
Fiido d4s seems perfect although price is icreased compare 2 years ago. Probably i am going to afford it on black friday, maybe there will be extra discount offer

Well I paid for a D4s a week ago and no dispatch info since and they don't reply to emails except some automated BS. Seems like a proper shit company at the moment & I'm regretting ordering. Worst service I've had for a long long time. Update: Ok they did contact me today and say they will provide tracking soon so hope that resolves it. Will see.

The D4S can cut turf. It's a FAST bike with decent range. And takes hills like a breeze. Best sub 700 euro ebike by MILES.

Most likely a low voltage cut-off, protecting the electronics. Replace battery or charge more often between cycles
Did you hold both breaks to unlock or just the right hand break ? Also what is the range on pure throttle 30kph weighing at 120kg ?
Just the right brake + throttle is enough to unlock.

There is no problem. You will average a speed of 30kmh don’t expect more
So given that the bike speedo is optimistic that would be 46kph or something similar
Downhill peddling like a maniac maybe. I've found it handles 22 to 23mph comfortably. Which is plenty for me and city riding.

The D4S is great. You wouldn't regret picking up. You need go properly service them as soon as you can though.

I can keep 35km/h average speed over long distance. You would need to upgrade to a bigger star to be able to pedal faster for longer.
