Wow, thanks for this video. I have used Reaper over 20 years and have had Komplete Kontrol about 5 years. Even though I have ReaPack I somehow never saw or knew of this script and it wasn' t in the scripts. I opened ReaPack and refreshed and the script was there so I clicked install and it is all working nicely! Really nice to have all those options and controls right there on the keyboard as you are playing. It's like a brand new version of the keyboard now, for free!!! 😎🎹✔
Yea ... It's definitely a game changer for me I can just go through my tracks and pick what I want... I make Komplete Kontrol tracks and just scroll on my keyboard till I find a sound I want to use and put on the scales or arps definitely a great script that makes the keyboard more useful.... The mk2 is definitely a great tool I love mine... I have a mk1 as well but only use it when I use maschine inside of Reaper... Happy beat making would love to hear some of the things you make... I have a discord server where I play peoples beats on Thursday night on my other channel come through and I will check your music out...😀

The MK 2 is just a midi keyboard for anything outside of komplete kontrol ... The mk3 is supposed to be a little more outside but they have not integrated with other well yet... And it doesn't work the same way the mk2 does in Reaper... All in all the mk2 is the one I would pick at this moment... Hope this helps...😀🙏🏾
I did have a problem with Moss where it would mess up Maschine's undo/redo functions when the moss software was active. Moss is a great guy and did respond when I made him aware of the problem, but told me it was a native reaper bug the was messing with his script. I just use the komplete Kontrol software Brummbum which seems to not have any problems and the same features as DBM. Maybe this has been fixed since I used it, but if you can't undo/redo in Maschine while using Moss it's the reason.
Yea he has some very nice scripts for sure I used it with the push in Reaper work very well... The only issue with the Komplete script is if you have anything else using the keyboard before you open Reaper it will crash Reaper when you try and open the software... Thanks for the comment...😀🙏🏾
Thank you for the great video man. I'm wondering what the real limitations of having the MK3 currently are. I saw your other video and I know that transport keys can work after some preferences config. How about browsing the instruments inside of Kontakt or Komplete Kontrol? Is this working as well? What about the scales, etc. I presume that only the stuff like browsing through tracks or mixer using knobs will not work but the rest should be rather possible to use, right? I'm really close to buying s88 MK3 but I don't want to make an expensive mistake and the information on the internet about how the MK3 really works with reaper is very limited. I'd appreciate if you could make a small comparison on that. All best from Poland!
Hey thanks for watching... The MK3 is not that good in my honest opinion... Instead of making it more versatile they have limited the keyboard... It does matter what DAW you are using if it's for reaper I would pass the MK3 is a little more limited than the MK2 to me... The MK2 has designated button for mute solo loop tempo and also integrated with the Machine software the MK3 does not they took that away the screen is big but not touch screen... It doesn't have to but why have a big screen you can't touch... It works ok with kontakt and Komplete Kontrol but it's pretty much the same on the mk2 so the same functions you just have to hold shift and do the action on the MK3 but the mk2 you have a dedicated button... But it's your choice my honest opinion is to get a mk2 over the MK3 it just works and has dedicated buttons... Thanks for the comment hope this helps...😀🙏🏾

I dont have a 88 key to feel the weighted keys but the MK2 fells better than the MK3 to me personally.. I dont always see the response questions till i log online... lol.. @@nRGmusicproduction

It's not much 2 it I just open Komplete Kontrol and the keyboard lets me choose the sounds .. other than that create sounds you want and select all of them and save as a template I will be making a video about this soon... Thanks for the comment...😀🙏🏾
Thanks. I have m32 keyboard and works as you presented. However reaper crash all the time if I use Komplete Kontrol (both software is updated fully). Esp. when I close the fx window which have the KK. Then reaper freeze and never recover. As I heard I am not alone with this. Do you have any remedy please? Yes KK daw is not enabled and I use Channel 1
I know if you use the keyboard on another DAW then try to open Reaper it will crash.... But I have not had it crash on Komplete Kontrol not sure why it's crashing Reaper
I downloaded the reapack and got the files as shown in the video. However, my s88mk2 still can't be controlled as the buttons "Play" etc. won't light up as it did for you. Any suggestions? What may be the issue, please? TY!
Make sure the Komplete Kontrol DAW and the Komplete Kontrol EXT are off in midi devices... The only one that should be on is Komplete Kontrol in the midi device section... Make sure the other 2 are disabled... Tty that and let me know if you get it working
I'm unfortunately having the same problem. correct dll file in the user plug-in folder, but I still can't get it to play, record or any other functions.
Hey there, I downloaded Reapack and had the folder, but my S61 is still not lighting up the buttons. It is the MKIII tho, so maybe it's not compatible yet?
MK3 Kontrol keyboard does not work the same in Reaper... It's not compatible... You can get the transport working but that's about it... The MK2 works very well and the script was made for it ... I’m quite new to music production, so may be a stupid question, but can you use this keyboard to play drums using Reaper? As In like one key is the kick, crash etc and play drums over a track that way? Thanks :)
Yes and no.... The machine is not really good at controlling the DAW but you can do it with a script made by driven by moss... Look it up on the form or Google driven by moss the script will allow maschine to control Reaper... The Komplete Kontrol has way more control for mixing and moving around the DAW ... Which Komplete Kontrol do you have? It does not work with the MK3 the new controller does not work if that is what you are trying... I have a MK 3 and it does not work at all with Reaper and many other DAWs that work with the mk2... It really feels like they are going backwards with the new keyboards... Wow, thanks for the quick response: I am using a Kontrol 61 mk2. I used a work-around I found on a forum some time ago, and it worked for using just the basic functions (Rec., Stop, Play, and a few others). I hadn't used Reaper in a while, and have since been upgraded to Ver. 7 PC specs are: Windows 10, 32G/Ram, and an RME Fireface UCX II. Great presentation, BTW --thanks!@@learningreaper
Yea I have the same keyboard... It works well with the reapack ... Make sure you are using Komplete Kontrol 1.... Do Not use the Komplete Kontrol Daw 1 if it's enabled make sure you disable it. The keyboard doesn't work with that enabled... Hope this helps...😀🙏🏾

@XELOhh1 I have the S mk2. It works for empty projects not projects I've been working on. As soon as I press the mixer button I lose all functionality except for the keys.

I do not have ReaKontrolConfig in my plugins folder ... No automatic setup.... So how to get it installed manually? for Kontrol S88 keyboard MK3.
The reakontrolconfig does not work with the MK3 keyboards it is not compatible with Reaper like the MK2 is..😞

That is Komplete Kontrol.... I use Komplete Kontrol as a sampler... Then create a template ... Really easy to do in Reaper..😀🙏🏾
