Which was a downer, it’s been a few months though so hopefully something changed. APR dropping stage 2 may have put a pep in their step.

More top end , you will pull harder around 90 mph or 144 km, but bottom and mid about the same, the K04 gives you you a stronger top end , if you’re tracking your car definitely if you’re trying to achieve numbers. But if not stage 2+ is a perfect balance. 🙏🙏🙏🙏💯💯💯🔥🔥

I’m looking to get r8 coils packs aswell! Would you recommend anything else to maybe manage to squeeze and bit more hp? Also would my car flame? With stage 2 or does overrun have to be mapped in?

ive got the stage 2 unitronic, its a more conservative tune vs apr but also apr doesnt offer stage 2 anymore. i do recommend getting the tcu tune because it matches nicely with thier ecu tunes. im just debating on an upgraded intercooler right now though part of me thinks its probably a good idea but if the stock one handles the heat just fine id rather save the money though

I think it’s because it has so much tuning potential, you can literally double the power, and people aren’t proactive on maintenance there vehicle, not knowing with a tune , you have to be dialed in more, for example I’m at the threshold and haven’t blew my motor, before this I had an s5

for stage 2 you need intake, high flow cat and downpipe, and a larger intercooler, and the stage 2 tune. The diverter valve is a preference since some like the spacers and blowoff sounding ones, and on a stock turbo you won't see much gain from an expensive intake manifold upgrade, save that for if you go with a larger than K04 turbo.

Was leaking 3lbs of vacuum through my crank case so I had that replaced. Fixed the epc and low oil pressure I was having. Do you suggest/need any mods jumping to stage 1 from stock? I ended up pulling my tune cause of the vacuum leak but I jumped from 9 psi stock to 14. Is that a healthy jump or too drastic for no mods?
You should be fine with stage one , and you’re saying that you’re 14 psi on stock, if so that’s amazing, I would say in your case to be safe a high flow air intake and down pipe. And you should be fine
@@brucecustommotors 14 PSI was after the stage 1 install. My crank case was actually a new piece only 5 months old and started leaking. Got an aftermarket replacement to help with burning oil. Ive tried Lucas oil stabilizer which helped a lot and I just ordered a CTS oil catch can. 1. Do you have any additional tips to reduce oil consumption? 2. Would you recommend me cleaning my intake manifold after installing the catch can?(My air flow sensor was slight dark and dirty.) Thanks so much I really appreciate your videos and knowledge!

yes, because you need to get a high flow cat that flows more than the restrictive stock catalytic converter and the downpipe connects to that flows better than that OEM pipe from the the 3-bolt flange of the cat pipe to the armytrix exhaust kit.

it depends , on your car, and the amount of meth mixture you use, like for example if you use 80/20 mixture you get more power, or if you use 100 you get all the power. a lot of times when you buy pre mixed stuff like boost juice they offer a 50/50 blend but the longer it sits , it losses its potency . Its really no way you can say how much you get or generalize it until you put it on the dyno. also your tuner has to find the peak power point to start to spray the meth, for the best outcome. 2 off my buddy's got like 45hp, and one 52 hp, and anther person only got 20hp, its up to your tuner

yes, but it won't be as big of a difference as a turbo car tune. Turbo cars get big gains from increasing boost. Naturally aspirated cars don't gain a ton from a tune, but you can increase timing advance, throttle response, and remove speed limiters, raise rev limiter, and if you get the TCU tune if you have an automatic transmission, you can increase shift firmness and shift points.

It will work, but aftermarket is better, to avoid heat soak, yeh if you’re going stage 2 , just go all the way in to avoid any lost performance

Naturally aspirated cars don't gain a ton from a tune, but you can increase timing advance, throttle response, and remove speed limiters, raise rev limiter, and if you get the TCU tune if you have an automatic transmission, you can increase shift firmness and shift points.
