If you’ve got a 360 controller and struggle to open it like I did, check the void sticker. There’s a screw under there. Struggle for way too long until I studied the guitar in the video closely.
This thing is truly pissing me off. Got every screw out and I've chewed the edges of the plastic all up prying on it. I spent over $150 on this controller and all I'm trying to do is replace a broken strap piece at the end. It will not open up enough to pull the piece out and it feels like it's on the verge of snapping.
Alright. I got it without breaking anything. Helps to pry right next to the strum bar while lightly squeezing the lower part since the plastic sorta bends in there on the curves, causing some separation.
At first I couldn't figure it out as well, but you DO NOT have to remove any screws. The bottom silver button on the neck has an arrow on it. Depress it and slide the cover down and thats it.
Idk, this one is a ps3 version. The remote probably goes in there because mine has a big insert for just the batteries. Cover needs some coaxing to get it off. Keep it flat and slide it straight down towards the strum bar.
Can find every screw driver I own but a decent sized flat hat, just couldn't seem to pry it open. Do you think it's possible to fix a squeeky strum bar with WD40, without dissassembly?
@@shreddyeddy7391 I've modded a couple other ones, it want much too different. Most of the Wii controllers have the same circuit layout so I made a universal one and sent it out to be made. It uses the Kailh 1350's low profile switches. Soldering isn't much of an issue either, just need to make sure that the wires connect to their corresponding solder point.
@@kgftw dang man nice!! I really want to get my hands on a guitar like that! Ive got a wired les paul 360 controller right now but it needs to be broken in a lot more haha
@@shreddyeddy7391 I don't only mod them for personal use I also mod then to sell. They are a bit more on the expensive side, a modded Les Paul for the Wii will cost you around 75$. I'm building an eBay store atm and if you would like I can sell you one. Just let me know.
Hey man I've had my WoR guitar since release but about 2 years ago the wifi on it gave out. Like my guitar cant read the wifi dongle any more. Any suggestions??
Does anyone know how to put a wii controller in one of these? It doesn't fit through the hole on the front and I feel like an idiot with how long it's taking me to figure this out.
Damn man yeah messing with any guitar is a risk. I broke 3 Wireless xbox 360 guitar controllers in one day thinking i was soldering switches in correctly completely fried 3 guitars felt like shit for like 3 months thats like 200$ worth of controllers which worked perfectly fine until i messed them all up lol
The side where the battery component is (ps3) is a bitch to deal with. I use a screwdriver to spoon the guitar apart, but it won't work. I am afraid I'm using to much force and break it. I thought I missed one or two screws but no, I count 11 srcews and thats all I have to take off.
Whada Fish I haven’t taken apart a ps3 guitar of warriors but the wii one definitely felt like i was going to break it so i just went for it its probably just really sealed in to those clips possibly
@@shreddyeddy7391 I did it just after your response. If you take out all the screws (Ps3 has eleven) you can feel that on both ends it is loose but the middle section is literaly impossible to open with your hands. The Guitar snaps back together and you hurt your fingers. What I did was what you told me in the video and I used more force than I was comfortable with. I pluged two screwdrivers on each side in the middle section between the "shell" of the guitar and the part you take out at 0:55 and just spooned it out with the power of physics. It was so loud I thought I broke something on my guitar, but no nothing broke. Maybe this comment helps someone else in the future. And thanks for your video!
creates video as a tutorial, shows guitar already disassembled. brilliant.
For those wondering, once you click the battery compartment down, you slide the cover towards the strum bar
Thank you my hero

Thank you, I almost end up stabbing the shit out of it with my screwdriver
Thanks.
That helps a lot, i can't find much stuff about this guitar it seems.
No problem!! Glad the video helped!
Thank you! I did manage to break off the two big clips in the center but oh well, thats what the screws are for right??
Thx man, u tutorial is the ONLY tutorial I found on how to open the guitar wor
THANKS SO MUCH, NEW SUB
Glad it helped! Tried my best to show how its done! Not too great at the youtube stuff haha but i knew it would benefit someone!

Thank you! I knew there was a better/easier way than to unscrew the whole guitar
ur the goat thanks
Just do a video because you saved my ass. Lemme get u ur 👑
What kind of screwdriver do I use?

Id just let it squeak man i dont think wd40 would be good or maybe contact cleaner made for electronics or can of air
What adapter do you use for clone hero? I just got one a few days ago and my current adapter won't read it. It's starts going crazy on the menu
I use the Raphnet V2 classic remote adapter
V3 is out and its much better
Just be careful with it, its a little fragile
So as it stands, I now have modded one of these. I replaced the rubber domes with cherry mx red switches. It is now a god guitar.
Dangg! How was is it to do that??

Im not too sure about that man!:/ you might need a new guitar if the wifi doesn’t work
Should have started from beginning vs after it was done, did not have to unscrew to open.

Ok now how do we fix the strumbar
Five bucks for that controller is a steal
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried anything like this before. I ruined my guitar and my day.
