I just put a 30" cherry bomb glass pack on my 03' F150 5.4L...... it has a nice polite glass pack sound- not obnoxious one bit. I'm actually thinking of taking it to a muffler shop, and having them making my setup a true dual exhaust, and putting in a 30" on that tube as well. I just like the cool, mellow old school sound of glass pack mufflers.
As a teenager i had one freind that could and would do all my welding. One time. I was over his house getting a exhaust repair done his Mom came running out of the house yelling and Screaming at him for taking all her clothes off the hangers to use as rods his parents and mine were good freinds so when she found out he was helping me she mellowed and said I better replace her hangers which i did my freind insisted that. The coat hangers were better than any Rods he could buy and cheaper LOL BTW it was the 70s and I know he liked the thicker hangers that the dry cleaners used i suspect they had Lead in them ? Because when you be GT them repeatedly they didnt break real easy instead they got really hot at the bend and kind of soft similar to the fire rated tie wire that suspends drop ceiling frames to meet. Code requirements to protect fireman from having to deal with the metal as a trap in a burning building BTW the glass pack sounds great
Love that sound! Looking to replacing my dual end mufflers with two of these as well. However; i have no (zero) welding experience. Can I also use a decent (gas safe) exhaust clamp instead of welding?
Quick question! So I have a 2018 charger rt and I have a welder I’m just paranoid about electronics so I was thinking should I get the surge protector and disconnect the battery to prevent any harm done to my motor just removing mid and rear mufflers
Im not familiar with Focus's but unless you have some type of sensor idk why you would need some type of muffler delete. Just swap mufflers and you should be good
@@appalachiandiy2415 well for 1 , my current muffler is super rusted , dented , & cracked , so that’s why I wanna get rid of it , also I want my car just a tad bit louder lol , & I’ve seen multiple videos with people applying cherry bomb sand they sound pretty nice . & lastly , I don’t really know how to attach a muffler lmao . The cherry bomb with locks seem pretty easy
Love CHERRYBOMB muffler's .Been using them for all my exhaust upgrades since 1987. 4-6-v8
heck yea

Did you have to disconnect the battery before welding to not fry the system? Been meaning to repair the muffler on my 4runner. Thanks brother!
I did not, but you should. I kept my ground clamp close to where I was Welding
Sounds awesome.
Thanks!

@@cesarvazques6404 yes, disconnect the battery. Thats all you should need as far as electronic protection for ecm and stuff
So for a Ford Focus , all I would need a is a muffler delete and cherry bomb ???

@@godisoncod475 yea if you dont have access to a welder just use exhaust clamps
You probably already went and did it, but why anyone would put a glasspack on a 4 cyl car is beyond me. They sound best with a V-8 engine.
Sounds good but where did you put the ground to?
End of the exhaust
@@appalachiandiy2415 thanks
@@chevylandt.v absolutely
What is the difference in sound with sizes I thought the 8" are louder then the 22"
I would think the shorter to be louder as well, not as much muffler material to lessen the sound
Going to do Mine but afraid its gonna be too loud. Still have yours on?
Yes, its sounds good not crazy loud too
@@appalachiandiy2415 alright thanks👍👍
how much amperage did you use
I dont have a digital readout on my welder. Hobart 140 and I think I had it at 3 on the voltage setting
I'm still new to wielding, is that a mig or tig wielder?
MIG
