Yesterday was a very good day....i have improved my bead by leaps and bounds just keeping you posted on my progress.....Hey Mo. you are the Koolest .
Congratulations 👍👍
@@JeepingMo Thanx Mo....you are doing us new Kats to this game a great justice.
All the welding videos on you tube mostly show a 220 volt mig welder, what about showing how to properly mig weld on a 140 AMP 120 volt machine for us less fortunate little people. Thanks for your videos in any case.
I've always had problems blowing holes in exhaust. I really appreciate you showing yourself blow a small hole and showing how to fix it ! You could have easily cropped that out and showed only your good welds . Thanks for taking the time and giving us begginiers some very helpful tips ! Makes me feel a little better that everyone blows a hole in exhaust every once in a while 😂
Thanks for viewing and commenting, glad it helped. Thanks for the support.
Hey Mo its me Super Dragon...hope your doin ok.....just gotta tell ya since the last time i was in class with ya ..lots has happend.... this Older guy restoring 66 Mustang coupe had me cut out and weld in some floor pans and did the same on the quarter panels (Tack welded) and he was impressed with my work he has hired to do the body work(which im pretty good at) on this project and i just wanna say Thanx for your schooling me.....cause of you im doin ok now...$$$$ aint bad at all....im still layin em down..will keep in touch.
@@superdragon9293 congratulations, glad to hear everything worked out for you. Just so you know i started a channel for my older cars. Rusts dent garage, check it out. Please keep me up on your work.
@@JeepingMo Kool Mo im on it.
Thanks for the advice!!! You have given me hope on my own self fabricated exhaust system
@@Jerryturtl3 thanks for viewing and subscribing
Great detail info. Subscribed it was so good! Ty bro
@@rsanchez9192 thanks for the good words and subscribing.
This was really helpful, much easier to understand than a lot of the other welding tutorials I've seen.
Thanks for sharing.
Best tutorial on UA-cam ever. ❤
Your video was a very good training video
Thank You!
Glad you liked it. Thanks
Tons of great advice on welding in this video! Especially the wire feed speed calculation.
Thanks. I appreciate the feedback and viewing
Thanks, helped a lot. New to welding, bought a cheap mig that came with no charts whatsoever, so the calculation method should help a lot. It's been all trial and error so far and I could really relate to the points you were making.
Hello Jeeping Mo..... Im just getting started on this great hobby and my goal is to be a master custom exhaust welder...just watching these tips your giving me a boost in my drive already to seek my goals....guess you got a new student. im open to all tips and instructions you have for me...
Thanks for viewing, keep practicing and you will get there
I just bought my first welding machine and this video I’m going to use as a training video I found your videos be easy to learn from
Thats cool, let me know how your progressing. Thanks for viewing.
Well Mo just to fill you in.... things are goin pretty smooth...Now that i have learn to set my wire speed and voltage for the rite size material ....Im just pretty much trying to perfect my style and dime stacking......Thanx again.
It takes a little hood time.
brilliant explanations.

Hey Bro. im kinda over whelmed and happy at the same time layed my first roe of dimes today im getting better by the day....they were a little wobbley but one perfection at a time rite...lol....im puttin in at lease two and a half hours a day of practice and its starting to pay off..Thanx to your tips..i will be doin custom exhaust in no time.
Just remember all welds that look good are not strong. So don’t think dimes are the only way
@@JeepingMo yes sir got cha....how do i check for strength in my welds?...never mind lol..i got a couple of ideals....
Nice video, when I welded my exhaust, I used basic settings.. practiced with extra.. and adjusted. I preferred moving side to side over the joint to get a smoother/better joint. Going straight was more sensitive. Burnt holes happens. And you made a good point.
Thanks for your comments and viewing.
Very nice video and very kind of you that you share your knowledge. Appreciate it!
Thanks for the compliment and viewing. I very much appreciate it.
Very helpful. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful, thanks for viewing.
subbed ...... good info
Thanks
Great video. What is your amps set at or a little tip to figure it out. Thanks and appreciate the tips you've already given. Never mind lol wasn't paying attention the first time.
thank you for teaching me how to weld my yes
what would be a good welder to start with for something like this i have very little prior practice welding with a mig on an old dump truck but no other experience
@@mc_midocondria8807 if you want to weld with Flux core, that yes welder or one from harbor freight would be good. If you can buy some C25 gas and use hard wire both of them make one that will take gas. I have not done the evaluation yet, but i have a yes welder here that also does pulse welding. That lets you weld or thicker materials with less power.
Even that yes Welder is only $100. It’ll get you started till you figure out for sure what you want to do.
Thanks for making this video. God bless

Great video man 🤝✊
Thanks
When you but weld the two pipes, you weld in a straight line or in loops? Thanks for this video.
@@19mati67 a little of both depending on the gap
@@JeepingMo No gap.
Most likely no loops
@@JeepingMo I have mig welded some 1-3/4" steel .40" thick tubes into an steel exhaust flange(3/8") and I blew quite a few holes and the whole flange bent a lot. I understand that it should be tig welded, but only for one job is not worth it for me to get gas and gun. Held mostly on the flange, but still blew some holes.
@ what wire size are you using, and what were your speed and voltage settings. I would be using .026 wire and a slow speed maybe around 180 and a low voltage. Each machine will be different. Was that with gas or flux.
i have 0 welding experience, and would like to get a little something for fabricating custom exhausts, and doing small repairs and such. im looking at a mig welder, specifically the harbor freight titanium mig 140, i plan to run on c02, can you recommend this welder? or do you have any advice or anything i should keep in mind before i start shopping around?
@@jacobmayo6701 i I have not used any other welders, but most places are making really decent equipment nowadays. May I get all the bells and whistles but that’s not always a bad thing. You’re running C 25 gas? For exhaust you don’t need much more than a 110 welder anyway. Unless you’re wanting to run stainless and do all the back purging then that’s a whole different animal..
@jacobmayo6701 use the Vulcan it’s pretty good I use it here at the shop and it’s amazing kinda on the pricey side
hi what size wire did you use on this video..??
.030. Thanks for viewing.
What MIG welder would you recommend for exhaust and all around car projects?
If your not doing heavy work. You can get a migraine with gas running 110. They are inexpensive.
it´ll be a good idea if you can put a welder mask on the camera to see your weld movements.. great tips.- 👌
Thanks. I have some videos that i have done that. Thanks
love the math on wire speed, never knew that
@@ebifurai415 glad you liked it, thank you for viewing

What kind of wire are you using for the mig welder
@@ethanhughes9776 that is just the Lincoln wire i get at Lowes. Thanks for viewing

@@FlipSideGarage i like stronghand. There are a couple of them on my tool time Tuesday.

@@FlipSideGarage there are some other welding videos on the channel as well thanks for reviewing
Good Job thanks!
@@aldendaddy thanks
What welding gas ratio did you use ?
@@AngelChavez-i6m its just c25. 75%argon 25%co
Ok i got to get rid of the bb's ...my Voltage setting is just a min and max flip switch ....are you saying flip my switch to the high setting...or slow down my wire speed....oh and just so you know i have the Harbor Freight (Chicago Electric) 125 mig welder.
If you have limited settings, make sure you are getting penetration then you’ll have to speed up or slow down depending on if you’re blowing through or not welding hard enough. Hope this helps.
@@JeepingMo ok ..thanx i will keep you posted on my progress....and no sir im not blowing through.
@@JeepingMo ok Mo my beads are getting better im starting to see some form going on here now practiced for 2 hours on scrap tail pipe and stuff go keep at it i am.
@@superdragon9293 i also have other welding videos on the channel, and if your interested. I have another channel 4x4fabshop. There are a lot of welding videos there.

Thanks for viewing. I have been to the UE several times. The look is get when I switch there digitals over. 😂
My eyes! My eyes! 😮
I have 1 week prison welding experience. I got the sack for eating a sandwich on the way to work.
Great video. Im no pro, but Tbh.. a weld is a weld. It doesn't have to look pretty to work. It's only an exhaust.
@@mjsjoiners7807 you are correct. Some pretty welds are bad. Thanks for viewing
Didn't understand the maths at all 😮
