In my opinion, govt should now develop tier 2 cities more in terms of IT so that crowd can get transferred to those area. If we see, in recent past year city like Indore, Nagpur, Lucknow etc where developed. Now at least local state people have those option to chose their local place rather going to Metropolitan city.
Yes absolutely....other cities shud be developed. We Kannadigas are feeling suffocated with our youth losing jobs and language , culture is in danger. Outsiders are enjoying with high paying jobs- which they can't even imagine in their backward home states. We don't mind if some companies move out. Please give our Bengaluru back.
Way back in 2014 i moved to bangalore for my first job. Three of us were looking for a flat on rent. We were asked to sit on bench inside society premises and the owner standing in front and we were asked us to give our background details one by one. Ultimately we were selected as tenants for the flat. 😊
I have stayed in Bengaluru for 5 years. Even a house owner whose house is worst than free PM awas yojna houses will behave and act as if North Indians will loot their house(the house will hardly have 2 beds , 1 or 2 fans and a gas stove 😅) . Most of the houses in all the halli areas- marathahalli, devanahalli, this halli, that halli(village) - are painted in all bright rangoli colors 🤮 if given an option you will not even like to enter those houses - but because of college/office vicinity you will have to compromise and live there and then tolerate the tantrums of landlords - some will act and try to restrict you like as if they are your parents or godfathers. And even These Rangoli color house owner Will ask for either 2,3 months rent in advance or 50 to 60 thousand security for 1 room , or 1 bhk 😡n landlords behaviors- aisa lagega Mano tumko tajmahal hi de diya h rehne ko - you aren't even allowed to put a iron nail in the wall. Flat owners toh ask for 1 year payment as security- or minimum 1 -1:50 lakh security for 2 bhk apartments. Bangaluru is a lootmart when it comes to rented houses or apartments. City otherwise is safe to live - but house rents and house owners 😤🤧😡😡
We should start opting for remote work... Lets put pressure on companies... this will not only reduce pressure from so called BIG cities... But also develop tier 2 and tier 3 cites.
Yeah , i have seen considerable development in my small town after COVID. Local markets are also doing greate because many people are doing WFH and hence they are becoming the part of local economy.
After 14 yrs in Bangalore I moved back to my hometown. It was best decision. Small towns are well developed now and there is nothing for which I miss Bangalore. Bangalore was beautiful yrs ago but now not worth it
What i think, Expand IT company in other cities too, and allow people to do Permanent WFH, which will come soon..and yes for every area standard rent/deposit should be decided by government.
Brother people of Up & Bihar go to every state of India for work, you know why, just because they vote on the basis of religion, caste in their state, so they get what they deserve. btw same dp..
A few problems of Banglore which are not in this video. 1. City infrastructure was not planned for that much crowd. Now they are planning to improve but not sufficient space to broaden the roads. 2. Public transport is far behind the metro cities like NCR, Mumbai and Chennai. 3. Traffic during the office hours, because there is no concept of No entry hours for commercial vehicles during the rush hours, like in NCR, 9 to 11 in morning and 7 to 10 in evening. 4. No control on Rates, like Room rent and advance, Auto drivers Monopoly due to insufficient connectivity through public transport.

Bangalore is changed now what people can see. Palace garden road,MGRoad ,Queens road,Magarth road r old Bangalore. Sarjapur road which connects to STRR and outer ring road was all deserted till 2014.Rented houses were available at 5k 2bhk. Now you can't even cross Columbia Asia hospital bcuz of horrible traffic

This happens when government only focuses in developing selected cities instead of developing the capitals of each state. Ideally every state capital should be developed at par with mumbai, kolkata, bangalore, hyderabad etc. so that each state capital at least provide jobs to the state people. This will not only help in overall progress of the nation but will also reduce the discrimination that is existing now. Government ne kewal selective cities ko develop kiya aur waha ke locals ko benefit diya. Aaj bhi waisa hi chala ja raha. And in return what we are getting, these locals misbehaves with outsiders. There is no regulation for managing rents, security etc.
This Development is For Private Sectors & Private Companies Will Select City With Good Communication, Political Stability , Regional Peace, Available Infrastructure --- This is Only available in Southern States Will Never in Get in Northern States at Present.
Sonal, while you are in Bangalore, It will be great if You could create a video comparing roads of NOIDA, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Bangalore...just 3-4 kms of stretch. Focus on Travel time, condition of roads, availability of transport (public, private). Happy to connect and share more details
I have visited all the cities you have mentioned- I have stayed in Delhi for long ,and Bengaluru for 6 years - Bengalore traffic is incomparable to other cities... in Bengaluru traffic doesn't move only during peak hours. You will be stuck in same place without moving an inch for half n hour or an hour. Bengaluru transport avialablity is better compared to other cities. AC non AC buses facility is avialable for the most of areas. Runs quite frequently. Roads are fine too but Bengaluru roadsides- they have converted it into Sewage dump. Everywhere you will find heaps of Dumps on roadside- no maintainance nothing 😢 But one thing - Bengaluru is a safer place to live compared to Delhi, Noida , Gurgaon
The worst part is (not that you have to pay 10-12 months security deposit upfront) when the landlords informs you will get your deposit when the next tenant pays him/her the advance. One of my house owner's wife stated that she won't break her FD to return my security deposit.- this is when I did not mentioned anything about her FD! Moreover, the landlord sent me a mail stating I was harassing his wife :-)

I m from Bihar.. It’s partially true. I have been here from last 10 years and this city is far far better than many north city like Delhi, gurugram and many other. It’s very disciplined, secured and accomodatable city. Rent is bit high because of people are earning more here as compared to other city. And for you kind information.. yeahh house hunting is tough but very few house owner ask for cv/linked profile, this simply goes viral on social media. Just a correction.. flipkart yaha se start nhi hua it’s just a branch. Best wishes to @Sonali for election coverage.

I think cities like Ranchi should be considered to be new IT hub. It has so much land, nearby airport, nice weather, good people. Tier 2 3 cities must be considered now.
I sometimes do not understand what is the obsession of tech or any company towards only 4-6 cities of the whole country, why only Bangalore, Gurugram, Hyderabad and Mumbai were made buildings by companies and the government, but by increasing the pressure of population, it was bent on ending it. There are many potential cities in the country like Jaipur, Kanpur, Indore, Bhopal, Patna, Raipur which are connected by air, even small tier 3 or 4 cities can be developed as technology and industrial hubs, internet, remote sensing Nowadays, youths have to leave their homes and go 1000-1500 kms away for employment, which is very ridiculous. Haven't we learned anything from Corona, how the pandemic wreaked havoc in cities with high population density, we have forgotten?
Most multinational companies need an international airport with direct flights to Europe or US. I would never want to go to Jaipur, Kanpur, etc. I take a flight from US, land in Delhi or Mumbai and check into a hotel to fight jetlag.
I am born and brought up in Bangalore. I have to provide all the details to the owner my family background everything to the owner everytime i am in search for a new house. There is nothing wrong in that. House owners should be aware of who they are renting out their houses. If something goes wrong to the tenant then they have to inform the immediate family or the police. The house rents are more near the IT parks but if you are away from IT office house rents are normal. Compared to Mumbai House rents you are paying less.
Its really nice to see reporter is reacting like any other person getting shocked, she is not trying to hide her feelings of shock.. Keeping it real is what new Gen wants. Its really good realistic reporting.
Banglore sufferes from Water shortage, usually society uses Water trucks for supply of water, but in summer one truck costs around 5k which will increase your Flat's Maintenance charges.
there are thousand of ugly things i have noticed about mentality of local people in bangalore like EGO discrimination, hatred, conspiracy, mentality from 19 th century, abuse of child, women, constitution and many more, language discrimination, local always suport local wheather it is police or people even if the accused have murder someone try to hide so many right things and save the accused, false allegation, false narrative, try to frame someone for something he havnt done or said, lies, manupulation of truth..all the bigger bigger people does all these things wheather he is CEO,manager, principal, chief minister,MLAetc everyone...if anyone want o exprience it then come to sri sairam college in anekal bangalore...all teachers, hod, principal will gang up use all tthose things aganist one student try to do honey trap, force the student for suicide or give heart attack by isolating the student to do wrong things with that student and start laughing when get caught. all these things happens in final year...everybody is scared here to talk about this issue..clearly ugc and aicte have failed here in stopping ragging by mental torture...its biggest problem in karnataka...many students have lost their life,career...clearly it can not happen without the involvement of anekal police...so many dark truth will come out if investigation will take place
its time that govt need to have attention on such issues and better have work from home option provisioned.. this will solve the conundrum of leaving parents in home for an IT job

It is very difficult to live in Bangalore because: Rent is very high Security is very high Brokerage is very high (Brokers only show a few houses) and one month rent is required, unlike in Pune, Noida, Gurugram. Security - the owner says that they will cut 1-2 month rent from security when we leave the house. The auto charges are very high (for 1.5 kilometers, a person charges Rs100). Traffic - For 5 km, it takes about 30-40 minutes and at worst, it takes 1.5 hours.
Ur expecting good north indian food in south india is just like me expecting good south indian food in north india both cannot happen at all and the point of auto fares they loot the locals itself what new you are nothing new u have to bargain with them for it have good bargaining skills you can do so rent id actually very less compare to a average mumbai rented house though
I had a humble stay of 3 months in Bangalore before I converted my job to WFH, so now I stay in Calcutta. I found a really good owner. No hassle, nothing. Got a great deal near Indiranagar, near my office. My roommate was a tamilian. Maybe that helped. Idk, but I never faced any form of problem in Bangalore except some people roaming around with their family "claiming" or actually to be Marathis, asking for money, saying they are stranded in Bangalore without Money and want to go back to maha, but later saw them 3,4 times more and realised this was their mode of income :)
Looks like you are good you got a good owner..Most of the outsiders created ruckus in the past so ofcoarse owner asks the details before giving the house for rent
I have a good house owner..... For the first time in my life I saw such a good house owner in Bangalore. Have searched for many flats, met owners but I never saw a good house owner.
8:21 So minor problems are caste issues, timing restrictions, inviting friends, gender segregation etc. which happens all over the country, but other than that the city is very futuristic. 😂 Probably cause of shiny offices filled with young people who all dress like they never left college. 😆 The stories of regional and other discrimination in Bangalore that I've heard from some friends have sent shivers down my spine. The stories were about normal Indian biases, the shivers were caused by the eerie feeling that this gleaming bustling city highlighted as an exemplary modern Indian city is as rotten with old prejudices and oblique social systems as any other city we see as backwards and undeveloped. Like a creepy old object wrapped in a new outer covering. Also I've hardly seen anything coming out of Bangalore which has not been tried and tested in the US for at least five years. I guess having lots of back offices had its perks too.
social prejudices are so engrained in our blood that ,the generation which think the will not follow prejudices, they can be seen at forefront with enthusiam advocating these prejudices.Even after religious conversion Indian didn't left caste they created caste in several foreign religions
I decided to not vacate my flat during lockdown because I knew how difficult it is to find a flat here in Bangalore. I kept paying (a little reduced) rent for my flat for 2+ yrs while I was in my hometown. Edit : By doing this, I saved a lot, avoided the hassle of vacating/shifting, paying pre-covid rent after coming back & not much higher rent that other tenants in same building are paying.
I think what Karnatak and Kannadiga’s are doing right thing. Being Marathi I can tell you this due to Bollywood many in Maharashtra switch Marathi to Hindi just like that. Its so as much that in Pune if some farmer bringing veggies to suburbs for sell and if there is also Bhaiyaa who selling same veggies then specific North Indian crowd tends to buy Veggies from Bhaiyyaa instead of Marathi seller. Reason just bcoz in Pune he can speak Hindi/Bhojpuri than one who is speaking broken Hindi. Folks believe or not language looses its importance in this way only. That’s why Raj Thackre has to do campaign for that and it becomes political point. By knowing all this when I was in Hyderabad I learnt Beginer Telgu and used that when I was in Hyderabad gor 6 months. I am learning Kannada and speak broken when in Bangalore and Mysuru. Locals smile when they understood I am Marathi and try ti speak there language as much possible, then it happens sometime they themselves eaither response back either in English/Hindi. See folks these all are our Indian languages and you have to respect them. Speaking into them being outsider is not mandatory but if you do locals acceptance will be more towards you.

You cannot judge a community (Tenant Community) by just 1 or 2 incidents. First of all you have created this rule amongst yourselves that "Bachelors" are not allowed. Only "Family" or " Women". I moved to Bangalore from Pune. I must say Pune has much better housing and quality of house. I am paying 60 thousand for a 2bhk in SJR Road and the society sucks.

Communication is the most important key to solve all your problems, I can speak Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi now learning Kannada by watching movies on subtitles and listening songs. In 3 months I am able to manage basic conversation with Shopkeepers, Auto and Cab drivers and they respect me when I speak in broken Kannada. If you want to make your life easy you have to adapt the local atmosphere and adjust, Believe me people will really appreciate your effort, and your life will be more easier. So they respect you only if you learn Kannada? That’s bullshit. It is individual’s choice to learn a language or not. No one can dictate you for that. Language is a just a communication channel, there is no need to get emotionally attached to it and harm people who come from other states. @@01abhinavrajput I can understand that learning a language is not a cup of tea. But you say that people should not be emotionally connected to their language is not correct. You can't force people to emotionally detach from their native language , which they have been speaking for more than a thousand years and that too just for the sake of money. There are many people who only know their mother tongue and if you force them, then they will not like it. Since nothing should be forceful, mocking someone who doesn't know Hindi or English is also like forcing someone , especially when they live in their native place. Thus, if you don't know the native language, it's better ki logo se bade pyaar se bolo, that you don't their language, so can they speak in Hindi or English. Just being respectful works. And ignore those who are not giving you respect. There will be someone who will reciprocate your good behaviour and you will sail through. Instead of mocking people for following native culture, it's better to just behave well, which will help.

How can they call us outsiders? Is Karnataka not part of India? This pathetic behaviour happens here only. What is this excuse of mocking people who speak native language? Who is doing that? It will also hurt me because I don't like anyone mocking the culture of any place in India. And I'm not making fuss about you that you don't know the language. The fuss is about those who disrespect ( bad behaviour) the culture. And since I don't see you disrespected about Karnataka or any other place, i don't see you need to have any issues. Speaking of rising rents, that's simple logic. Any location that houses a lot of businesses automatically becomes expensive with the real estate part. Mumbai is a fine example of that. But house hunting in Mumbai isnt half as difficult as in Bangalore.
bruh Mumbai is cheapest city in india. Most migrants come to mumbai cuz in Mumbai rent is low due to slums. In flat for 1 rk rent is 15k. Bt in slums it's only 4-6k. And in slums u can live with 5-8 people. After COVID BMC counted slum population. 40% Bangladeshis, 28% up bihari and 15% South Indians were living in slums. And 23% flats in towers are empty in Mumbai. That's why in Mumbai people get rented flat easily. Cuz most migrants actually live in slums to save money

I lived in Bangalore for 13 years. This interview does not really portray the entire city. Like any other city around the world, it has its pros and cons. Cons: 1. Yes - the apartment deposit is an issue for all rented spaces. Minimum 10 months rent is a must when looking out for an apartment/house. 2. Getting that deposit back is another problem. They usually deduct a huge chunk of that deposit in the name of painting the apartment. 3. Traffic is a horrible problem. Auto drivers won’t accept your request and if you’re heard speaking in Hindi, you’ll have to instantly shell out more money EVERYWHERE! Pros: 1. Extremely independent and secure city. No one will bother you. Go wherever you want, do whatever you want, call anyone at home as you want. There is no drama like in the North. No gossiping neighbors too. Most neighborhoods have educated folks and it’s generally a very hassle free environment. 2. Extremely helpful cops. They follow the law to the T. No exploitation or bribery. In my 13 years of living there, I was stopped by a traffic cop maybe twice - both times I paid the fine and could move on. There was no useless drama or screaming / shouting. 3. Basic amenities are very good compared to the North. No questions there. Most problems in Blr are due to the sudden growth and increased population in this city. Blr was a Pensioner’s Paradise. It wasn’t meant for job seekers and so many people. The problem isn’t that Blr is unable to manage this onslaught. The problem is that North India has not created jobs for its own people so people are forced to move to other cities and flood their infrastructure. Had our northern cities been developed and advanced at the same pace, Blr would have remained a paradise. All the issues being mentioned here are simply due to the Demand and Supply imbalance.
Development in India is mostly limited to big urban agglomeration; that's why the 'organised sectors' jobs' are in and around these metropolitans. People will move to these metropolitans.

When I moved to Bangalore as a trainee in 2001 (its 21 years) for NAL opp. Manipal hospital, the first area was Munnekolala village near to Marathalli bridge. We all friends used to wander in weekends to ring road. The first multiplex in Benguluru was here only. I've seen the building under construction. The Kadabisala halli was a remote area. The vehicles on the ring road was hardly we could notice, so can easily cross the road. The land area around multiplex was open. 6 years before I went there to watch movie THE MUMMY by Tom Cruise I found very hard and shocked to get the current scenario. After 6 years there may be further changes might have happened. Edit:- We could see Tulasi theatre across the ring road then. Can't imagine this now.

3. Traffic during the office hours, because there is no concept of No entry hours for commercial vehicles during the rush hours, like in NCR, 9 to 11 in morning and 7 to 10 in evening.

It is very difficult to live in Bangalore because:
Rent is very high
Security is very high
Brokerage is very high (Brokers only show a few houses) and one month rent is required, unlike in Pune, Noida, Gurugram.
Security - the owner says that they will cut 1-2 month rent from security when we leave the house.
The auto charges are very high (for 1.5 kilometers, a person charges Rs100).
Traffic - For 5 km, it takes about 30-40 minutes and at worst, it takes 1.5 hours.

The stories of regional and other discrimination in Bangalore that I've heard from some friends have sent shivers down my spine. The stories were about normal Indian biases, the shivers were caused by the eerie feeling that this gleaming bustling city highlighted as an exemplary modern Indian city is as rotten with old prejudices and oblique social systems as any other city we see as backwards and undeveloped. People are learning to coexist in other big cities, but you guys are closing doors...why so much hate, judging & attitude you are having ? Is it just because you own a place in this metropolis and you are not in the same situation as outsiders...?
When he was adjusting the last months rent in deposit, you could have asked him to clear E.B. on time otherwise you could have asked him to vacate or cut his power supply or taken extra for electricity intially plus your deposit for few months. ( All refundable if bills are cleared )
I stayed rent with Biharis jn Bangalore. Probably the worst roommates. The owner lady was fed up with there behaviour. They disturbed the whole families in society by there behaviour. Late night party in room smoking and drinking shouting. I was hell stuck with these guys. All my routine was disturbed.
We blame people for being prejudiced towards biharis and Up guys. But we ignore why this happens. There behaviour and using Cuss words and attitude has ruined there image. Especially in south india people dislike
Bangalore will become worst living city in coming years. Tough Life
Any place people come and flood into a small places shall make it worst living City.
Once people start running away from Bengaluru it will become again the old heaven.
Thanks,May be you can avoid that happening by moving back to your state .
Just kidding,We need another City where these companies can be accommodated, Bangalore is already crowded,it's not infra problem its difficult handle such a population.
all thanks to north indians. who crowd and ruin city

I am from Maharashtra, my company is calling me to come to blr. I have delayed this several times but can't anymore. Unfortunately, my whole team is located in Blr office hence can't move to a different office. Hope someday I'll be able to move to a different place.
Come to Mumbai and face more problems here. Brokerage (generally 1 month), rent 1 BHK ( approx 35000), 2 BHK (approx 55000) , 3 BHK ( 70000+ ). Thanks to Mumbai food and travel they help to compensate.

@@Commonman1116 for what ?
I lived in Bangalore for 13 years. This interview does not really portray the entire city. Like any other city around the world, it has its pros and cons.
Cons:
Pros:
Ncr is more planned so in future I think most of the north indian will be shifting there.
It will be less crowded if North people go back to delhi, kolkata and mumbai
Development in India is mostly limited to big urban agglomeration; that's why the 'organised sectors' jobs' are in and around these metropolitans. People will move to these metropolitans.
Development is not the problem. Unplanned development is.
If they come and make Bangalore another Bihar who will suffer the most.
😂true

I stayed 13 year n bangalore, 4 years in hyderabad, 1 year in kolkata, 1 year in new delhi... on rent. Being a single women... i always had fear that someday someone will say no. But thankfully it never happened... no one questioned me ever. When i was buying my own house in a gated community, i thought it might be a problem... but here too no one had questions. No question on job/finances even. I thought India's changed. But seems i was lucky to escape....

Lucky indeed😂. But there is otherside of story too. Like bachelors take it for granted in gated communities over partying , cleanliness issue , Anti family area living activities like one night stayover with girls, etc.

I'm a Kannadiga, from Ballari district and city, which is around 310 kms away.
Wow, that place has grown so much, now Tulsi theatre is so much inside that area can't believe it was visible from ORR. BTW Tulsi theatre is closed now

there are thousand of ugly things i have noticed about mentality of local people in bangalore like EGO discrimination, hatred, conspiracy, mentality from 19 th century, abuse of child, women, constitution and many more, language discrimination, local always suport local wheather it is police or people even if the accused have murder someone try to hide so many right things and save the accused, false allegation, false narrative, try to frame someone for something he havnt done or said, lies, manupulation of truth..all the bigger bigger people does all these things wheather he is CEO,manager, principal, chief minister,MLAetc everyone...if anyone want o exprience it then come to sri sairam college in anekal bangalore...all teachers, hod, principal will gang up use all tthose things aganist one student try to do honey trap, force the student for suicide or give heart attack by isolating the student to do wrong things with that student and start laughing when get caught. all these things happens in final year...everybody is scared here to talk about this issue..clearly ugc and aicte have failed here in stopping ragging by mental torture...its biggest problem in karnataka...many students have lost their life,career...clearly it can not happen without the involvement of anekal police...so many dark truth will come out if investigation will take place
It's not only up, bihari, all landlord or house owner ask about Tennant's details, through aadhar card or any kind of permanent address, which i think is justified, and it's fair, it's right of every house owner to know their Tennant's background,it's not only in Bangalore,it's everywhere be it Delhi, mumbai or Ahmedabad
bangalore is ver good place but local people are the worst..they are the root of all the problem...they are not ugly by their physical appearance but their mentality is 100 times more uglier than their appearance, the way they think and behhaveiis worst part...they are not open minded like delhi and mubaikars...too much snitching, conspiracy, ego problem, jealousy, discrimination on the basis of north-south,hindi-kannada etc...problem is everyone think like that only whaether it is principal of college,CEO.owner of house or actors...everyone thinks in the same way

Livability of a city is in question. Many of tier 2 cities are going this way. Affordable housing is a growing concern world over.
