As a former preschool owner the happiest kids at school are the ones whos parents just hug, kiss and say, "Have a good day, see you later." Kids do 100% better than the parents and more than you can imagine. They love being with the other kids and exploring. Sounds like Levi most certainly can do it! They will cry for you but 100% they stop crying 2 seconds after the parents leave. If parents drop off with confidence, the kids have confidence.

My brother used do cry for hours, so the staff at the kindergarten called my mum to talk to make him stay home.
      But she couldnt afford it.
He did it for several months.
      I did the same.
But I agree that in most cases the kids take it better than the parents.

Absolutely!! When my kid got that age I would go in talking excitedly to other kids and the teachers almost ignoring my kiddo (it was a full ACT lol) and he would run off to play with something and never noticed me leaving. They do SO much better than we do. 😅😅

Hey Taylor, still haven't sinked in to me that you are already married and have Levi in your life now. I was just watching you back then when I was in college, girl you were my stress reliever on my toxic days, you were still a model back then in Tokyo, and I was even in your Dolly era shopping in Tokyo and Lush, dancing some anime dance craze in a park. In your day in a life with subtitles coz you spoke japanese. It was nostalgic! and I'm soooooo proud of you. You are a great mother and elbow san too. I'm always been your fan ever since. Lots of love ❤

This is how I was on my son's first day of pre-k. He just looked at me and smiled and told me he loved me and walked in with no problems. While I sat in my car and cried. Now it's been three weeks and he is loving every minute of it. You're doing such a great job, Tay! 💘

He was strong because of what a good mama you are! He knows that you're always there loving and supporting him, so he can do things away from you with confidence because he knows you're always in his corner and that he can rely on you. His confidence in being away from you should be your absolute strongest evidence that you're doing a wonderful job ♥

@@isabellelimhow8525 Both can be true. They should have the opportunity to explore their full potential. When my son went in they let the kids use a toy bus, or a car to push down the hallway and then follow with his backpack. One day my husband bent down with the bus and was helping him to push it back to go and the teachers said why don’t we try without the monster school bus today and my husband stood up and our son waved and said bye bye Dadda and went in and my husband teared up 😢. I always cried in the car and the first day tears man so many tears. The more "Hong Kong" content I see, the more I want to travel there. Unfortunately traveling isn't possible for me at the moment for health reasons. Seeing a little glimpse of the City through these videos makes me so happy.
Also I love how you share your journey with motherhood. As a toddler going to Kindergarten aged 3 I was the same as Levi. The first week I was just excited and then the reality of me having to be there everyday set in. I cried and didn't want to go there. This stopped after a few days though and I loved it and made friends.
I am 28 now and I start to notice signs of ageing too and I am so happy about it. There was a time in my life, I thought I wouldn't be alive and get to be this age or even 18. My makeup routine in my 20ies was kind of like yours is now and since covid I kind of stopped using any Makeup at all.

I loved listening to your story about Levi’s first day alone at school.
I was in my 20s when I had all three my children. The first one at 22, the second at 26th, and the third at 30.
It just depends on the personality of the child as to how they separate from you at school.
My son who is the eldest, with his personality: he jumped out of the car said, “See you later Mommie!”, and ran off towards his kindergarten class. I took off after him, saying “Wait! I get to go with you!” When I arrived in his class, panting, he looked up at me, gave me a hug and said, “It’s OK Mommie, you can go now. I will see you later.”
My second child, a daughter, had a different personality. She seemed a little bit shy as I walked her into her kindergarten class, but when she saw there were lots of children to play with, and they were having fun. She gave me a hug and ran off . I thought, “Wow, you didn’t even say goodbye.”
My third child, also a daughter, had a totally opposite personality from the first two. She clutched my hand as I took her into class with her best little friend at our side. She hesitantly looked around and sat down next to her little friend and seemed fine. Then when it was time for the parents to go, I gave her a hug and said, “I’ll be back in a little while to get you.” She grabbed onto my leg and cried. Through her tears, I could hear her pleading, “ mommy, please don’t leave me! Mommy I’ll miss you! Mommie I love you!” Leaving her in class after telling her that she would be fine and that she was brave and she could do it, was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. But as I’m sure you figured out, we both survived it just like Levi and you did.
Sometimes being a parent is hard, but trust me as my children are all grown it’s worth it

I’m only 4 minutes into your video and I’m crying 😢😢 our 6 month old is in daycare right now and I miss him so so so much 😢 I’m going back to work next week and it’s so hard not being with him everyday. We did IVF too and your IVF videos helped me so much Taylor!! ❤

On a different note comparison to others about nurseries.
Levi looks EXACTLY like you. Omg he’s going to be a heart breaker when he grows up! He is adorable!

On the school note. I did exactly like you, but bit later, I let her have half a day at 4yo. As opposed to a full day where her fellow mini school mates were in. Then yr 1 comes… it was full day. We’ll always have anxiety. Learn to believe in them. You’ve taught him all you need and can, he’ll put into use, coz that’s how I learnt of my daughter. She remember everything I taught her before full day school. Stuff like “please and thank yous”, don’t spread your fingers at door hinges, wash your hands, layer the toilet with tissues, don’t randomly touch anything… Levi will remember and know. Don’t worry

Very true, I changed my makeup routine near my late 30. And yes, thinner or subtle eye line definitely gives more eyelid space, which is quite important and the biggest habit I have changed so far. Great to see your updates, keep it up ❤

Times have changed. My kids went to half day "preschool" at 3 years old. One liked it; one hated it lol. First day by themselves was at 5, I think. You're very brave, Taylor.

I work in childcare- dropping him off with “I’ll be back soon! I love you, have fun! And leaving asap is the best thing you can do for him. We also sometimes allow an attachment object (something small) to help with the transition that we slowly have them put away until he’s comfortable without it the whole time. I know it’s hard, but you both can do this (as Levi says🥹)!

I teary eyed reminiscing when my boys was little their first day of school. It's definitely hard for mom's to feel this way. Yesterday it was my son first day in 6th grade in middle school and 17 year old son senior year in high school. 😢 Kid are growing way too fast.

I really love your content! I found your channel initially when we were also going through IVF and I found it really helpful and cathartic... I'm from HK and I grew up in Toronto. Since 2013, I have been living in Belgium as my hubby is Belgian... We have a little girl who is soon turning one 😊
Your content is so diverse and interesting and really shows off all the great things about HK too!
I was wondering how do you do a date night, do you have a babysitter?

hello Taylor, Tom San and Levi (and Rosie of course)
I can totally understand you, when my daughter went on her own summer vacation with a group for the first time (she was 8 years old at the time), I felt exactly the same as you. In Austria, children only go to kindergarten from the age of 3 and with us just for a few hours. He is now 2 years? that is very early compared to Austria,
but he's such a handsome, clever little man.
all my best wishes to you and thank you for vlogging💖💖💖

I always thought well, their 1st day of school is like their 1st day at work. It’s literally for the next 60 years they will have to work and struggle. I hung on till they were 5. I’m like be a carefree kid all day! 😂

Hearing you talk about your experience leaving Levi at school and his reaction made me wonder if your mom had the same reaction and feelings when she left you in Hong Kong when you began your modeling career. You did well.
