You have not placed any bottons that poke out, so you have buttons with holes (lets call them female side) on both sides. But you can't button the jacket like that, so you can swap the buttons on the right side(of the model), with the ones that poke out.
Hope this helps!
Actually the male side buttons could be the ones in the left side,
We see the open jacket so the ones on the left are facing the jacket itself, what we see is their back
The cargo pants that I bought from the clothing store i work at (day job, I just started with game dev) have exactly the same fabric as the texture on John's pants so don't worry about that.
Small detail, but the plastic "badges" would probably be stitched on to the fabric. Right now they look just glued on and that would probably fall off pretty easily. Overall the texturing is looking really good. Your eye for realism is really impressive.
Nice work as always!
I follow this series with love from the very begginning and i never missed an epsiode, I usually dont comment on videos but I thought you could use some tips for the jacket design:
I think the buttons shouldn't be on the black inside part but just on the yellow edge,
Also, usually, when jackets have both buttons and a zipline they put it before the buttons (in this case it would be in the transition from the black part to the yellow one) so that you can close the jacket with the zip and then close with the buttons to hide the zipper out.
If the zipline is in the outer edge then with the jacket closed the buttons would be in the inside touching your skin(?), pretty awkward
Looks perfect!
Hi Boro, i've been watching since long before the game dev videos, im genuinly a fan and dont mean any negativity in my question: do you have a schedule at all that you're working to? The way you're prioritising the work goes against most game dev advice especially for a first game. Id love to see the game and yourself succeed and im entirely aware you may well have good reasons for your approach (makes for good YT videos for one) but even my personal game dev journey took a massive positive turn when I put a appropriately prioritised schedule together and started sticking to it so I figured id share my thoughts
Man i need to practice to get up to doing something like this. This is the kind of work I want to be doing in video games.
To add your own custom text you have to type in “substance text” and it should come up!
the new DBD (dead by daylight) killer looks like it's your art 🤔. Probably a coincidence or a bit of inspiration.
Lets fricking gooooooo
New 3d video
Hey Boro. I'm a very old fan of your work and was looking back trying to find your older videos, were you painted pictures during multiple episodes and talked about it...
Did you removed these videos? Is there anywhere I could find these? I have some cherished memories of those videos and would love to see it again
Hi there! Check out Playlists on the channel, all videos are available there
Nevermind just realised they did change how you put your own text on instead of what I first said “Substance Text” it’s now just “Substance” on the Alphas of course lol just got to scroll a little bit and you’ll find it!
Awesome thanks! I found it by searching "type"
@@BoroCG thanks! Its weird that it’s not with the other texts but it is what it is lmao
Important question. have you played Alan Wake 2?
Does John have a last name?
Hey Boro, these videos are really cool and all but this isn't the route you should be on if you plan to ever release this game.
It sets an impossibly high standard for the every model in the game, it needs a consistent style and if this is the style then every model will take as long as this one.
For a solo dev project it is simply too much, I really would recommend reconsidering your priorities.
I know these things are fun to work on but its not what the peoject needs and trust me you want to decide what is important early on.
I think your are putting way too much work into details when you don't even have the base game itself done yet.
I was about to say that
If you take into consideration that he’s going to release a demo, it makes total sense
He's having fun man, fuck having a base game he's already proved he can figure shit out and make it good.
@@TUKMAK You clearly just exposed that you never completed a single complex project before.
