Hi Immy :) I looove this video idea and also your style. I've noticed that my jumpers last a lot longer when I fold them and put them in my drawers so they don't get those wobbles around the shoulder area from the hangers. My favourite second hand pieces I have are my grandpa's jumper with mountains on it and my grandma's blazer which she wore for my christening 25 years ago.
A couple of years ago I decided to buy only quality clothes that suit my shape from quality brands and so now I spend more time choosing what to buy and really thinking through whether I need this particular clothing or not. Usually it sits a long time on my to buy list before I do buy it - because that way, if I really need it the situations will arise when I am like: I wish I had it and then I can move on to buying it. Instead of being mindless and buying things straightaway.
I love these videos as well because it reminds me of the importance of having a wardrobe that’s is good QUALITY and not QUANTITY! You’re amazing, keep up these amazing videos.
This year, you’ve inspired me to thrift, a habit I used to do but as I grew older was made to believe it was belittling, and retake thrifting again as an option to look there first if what I need can be bought there. Thank you so much for your encouraging videos!
I just had to say goodbye to my favourite blue cotton dress. The straps broke and the hems went at the same time, and when I looked closely I saw that the material was too thin now to repair. Then I realised that it had been my go-to dress for at least 13 years, and I bought it secondhand then! It’s now in the rag-bag in case I can use it to stuff something. Your clothes are utterly beautiful and are perfect for you. My boots are wearing out - when they’re beyond repair, where can I get some like yours, please?
I still have another six weeks before autumn. I plan on changing out my wardrobe in 5 weeks for the cooler months. It's so hot were I live. I'm jealous of your cooler weather.
I love to see your capsule wardrobe as it consists of things you love and that are so unique to you. It came through strongly how comfortable you feel with your choices and how much pleasure you get from wearing them and is such an inspiration to those of us who have way too much stuff and still don’t know what to wear. Yes, the black dress is a treasure and you look fabulous in it - definitely one to keep and feel confident in.

Do you have any recommendations on how to keep things or pick new items after you’ve gained or lost weight? This has been a huge issue for me as most of my fall/winter items don’t fit anymore 😥
Even with weight increase, I realised the other day that most of my wardrobe I've had for 20 years, and one dress I've had for 30. I add a few new things and sell a couple of old things every now and then, but by and large I tend to wear my clothes forever. Huh. :)

You've made me really miss buying clothes from charity shops - I find that it's really hard to find decent, good-quality clothes in my size that are new, let alone second-hand, which just makes me not want to put the effort in when I need to buy something. I really wish that decent plus size clothes that weren't made of polyester (synthetics make me uncomfortably warm) were available more easily to thrift. Great video though, thank you 😊
It's from Toast, but they're so expensive I always look on Ebay and search Toast, New With Tags! You'd be SHOCKED at the things you can find that are brand new!!
I really don't buy new clothes my clothes I get for my sister-in-law she gives me her old clothes that she doesn't want any more we wear the same size she has a lot of clothes that she gives me that have tags on them she said she's not going to take them back to the store she just gives them to me the clothes always smell really nice and fresh and clean always find the clothes with fabric sheets in them folded nice Indiana box or a reusable bag lol 😊 I always get excited when she buys me new clothes lol 🤍
