    This is one of the best up-to-date videos about Japanese language learning I’ve seen in a LONG while. I just bought an iPad mini last month and will definitely incorporate some of the apps you mentioned! The Voice Reader and Koanji lookup! I prefer Shirabe Jisho for my dictionary, but I’ll absolutely give this a shot!

    So happy to have found your video, I have been looking into how I can maximise the iPad in my Japanese learning journey and I am not particularly good at drawing stuff but would like my notes to at least look a little nicer =D
    Though my reading skills are better than my listening skills so what I need is a little different compared to what you are doing, I have found your recommendations very useful. Hopefully with these tips, I can start working towards not only passing the N1 exams but actually being able to read more (easily) and write more Japanese - Kanji is not as tough for me as for non-Chinese speakers but my Chinese writing skills isn't that great either so... (my first language is English!)

      You can download the Iruka app through the Japanese app store. You don't need a credit card to sign up (initially), but if you'd like to buy anything like a subscription--I recommend buying a "Japan iTunes card" off Amazon or something and using it that way. Hope this helps!

    Fabulous video! Many thanks to the author of the channel for the recommendations! The problem with many people is that they want to take a "magic pill" or get "secret knowledge" and immediately have skills and abilities. However, the truth of life is that knowledge, skills, and abilities do not come by themselves. You can't learn a foreign language without doing anything, without wasting your time and effort, just like you can't learn to ride a bike lying on a comfy couch, listening to lectures and watching videos about "modern methods of learning" on a bike. To really learn something, you have to really practice every day. You're going to fall down while you're learning, and you're going to get bumps - that's normal! The ups and downs of learning are an integral part of our lives. Motivation from success and depression from failure will always be your study companions. However, every student has problems in his or her studies that he or she lacks the knowledge to solve. It can be: poor memorization of words; no progress in language learning; the student can speak, but does not understand speech by ear; misunderstanding of grammar; incorrect pronunciation, etc. Agree that a problem you don't know how to solve is very demotivating. In order to find the answer to our question we have to spend a lot of time to read videos, articles and books by polyglots. In today's world, we have to solve problems as quickly as possible. I don't have time to study and analyze a huge amount of information. My goal is to master the basic knowledge of a foreign language as quickly as possible and already start earning money effectively in the international arena. I settled on the practical guide by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot's Notes: practical tips for learning foreign language". This book is always in my bag. If I have a problem while learning a language, I quickly find the answer in this book. There are many different techniques and tips for learning a foreign language in Polyglot Notes. I have made my own individual schedule and plan for language learning. Now I know what I am going to study, how I am going to study, when I am going to study and what results I am going to achieve. No problem could stop me! With an effective language learning plan my professional skills are more and more in demand internationally every day. Friends, don't stop there! Everyone has talents that millions of people around the world need! Learn the language and make your ideas and dreams come true! Thanks to the author of the channel for the informative and useful video! Your videos motivate me.

    Thanks for your video. It's a new digital age for Japanese learning, and education in general.
    I'm wondering how you scanned the documents, though. I have a bunch of textbooks and flashcards lying around that I wish I could scan. Looking to be more organized in the future.

    • @evilo
      @evilo  Рік тому

      Hi Shane! Thank you so much for watching!!
      For scanning the documents I did it two ways. The first was the old fashioned way. I have a printer/scanner machine at home so I was able to do a few that way. The second way was something new that I was only able to do with my iPad. There are various apps you can use (Goodnotes, Noteability, or Adobe Acrobat), but all you have to do is use one of the apps to take a picture of each page and it automatically converts it into a pdf file for you. (Another reason I love using my iPad for studying.) Hope this helps!

    I know this video is like a year old, but if you haven’t made it already, I’d actually love an in-depth video for how you take your notes using that set up you began talking about around the 7:51 minute mark. I’m not learning Japanese but Korean and I really like your set up it looks very helpful and inspirational.
    Also the flash card paper looks really cool too! If possible could you make a video about that as well?

    • @evilo
      @evilo  2 роки тому +1

      I didn't cite any in this video but for English speakers I always recommend Genki 1 + 2, if you study both of those well you could easily pass N4 without a problem. The Genki series has the most practice problems and most useful examples in any beginner book I've seen so I think it's a good deal. But if you're studying by yourself be sure to buy the answer booklet as well! Hope that helps (^^) If I have time later on this year I'll try making another video with my Genki textbook examples
