    in brief:
In this video, the speaker shares how they use their tablet, specifically an iPad, to aid their language learning journey.
They discuss various features and tips that can help others enhance their language learning experience using a tablet.
    1. Split-screen feature: This feature allows you to multitask, such as watching a video in your target language while taking notes or using a dictionary simultaneously.
    2. Reading on an iPad: Reading apps like the default Books app on the iPad can be combined with note-taking or flashcard apps to create an effective language learning routine.
    3. Planning and organization: Tablets can be used to set reminders, track study time, create vision boards, habit trackers, and even function as a language learning bullet journal.
    4. Digital notes and documents: Storing course materials in a digital format allows for easy organization and accessibility, as well as the ability to repeat exercises or look up words quickly.
    5. Practicing writing: The iPad and Apple Pencil are perfect tools for practicing writing in a new language, without wasting paper or harming the environment.
    6. Text recognition and search: Most note-taking apps have a text recognition feature, allowing you to search your handwriting for specific words or phrases.
    7. Recording audio while taking notes: Some apps allow you to record audio as you take notes and sync the audio with your notes, which can be useful when attending lectures or watching videos in your target language.
    8. Changing app languages: You can change the language of your tablet or individual apps to help you learn and remember vocabulary in your target language.
The speaker encourages viewers to share their own experiences and tips for using tablets in language learning in the comments section.

@@haroldberserker Yeah, hit the three dots on the right of the video, and you can view the video transcript (basically the video subtitles), and you can copy and paste them into a generative AI like Chat GPT and ask it to summarize the video. It’s actually very helpful for course lectures because you can get the lecturer’s main points instead of watching the full lecture. You can also ask it to use the transcript to better expand upon certain points so you can get a more in-depth summary.

Came here to see if there’s any tips that I can use that I am not already using, but I want to tell you a really a really cool tip. Now GoodNotes 5 now has the recording feature that notability has. You just have to update it to the latest version, and then the microphone icon will appear in the top left corner next to all your options. My mum told me about the update because I always talked about how I love GoodNotes way more but I need notability for school because of that recording feature. Now I never use my Notability anymore. So almost 3 weeks into last semester, I switched to being full time on GoodNotes now. I honestly feel like their organisation of everything is way better than Notability with their folders, nesting features, and a lot of customisability.

hey Tanya! I just started going to Korean classes, and I feel like using analogue notetaking (notebooks, pencil, highlighters) is quite the hassle. I'd like to know if you've felt any changes when it comes to productivity and if it has helped improve your language skills in any way? Was it hard transitioning from analogue to digital? Has it helped you reach a higher language level on any of the languages you are studying? I'm seriously contemplating investing on an iPad, but I'd really like to know if it helps you in terms of fluency and progress, and if using a digital notetaking app helps you retain the language and vocabulary better.
