You have to pull a vacuum on the system make sure it will hold then let the vacuum pull the refrigerant in
At 5:30 you remove the plate from new condenser. Do you use the o-rings on that plate at install them onto your refrigerant line?
Love it
Do I need to have the system vacuumed I just did it and just filled with Freon will anything happen if I dont
I would recommend it. I didn't do it, but it should be done.
vacuum out old refrigerant like you mentioned is ok to do after the install or before?
I believe either way is fine. I still haven't gotten mine the vacuum service 😅. I'm really procrastinating on that one...
@@tonysautoworksoffroad223what would cause my ac to blow lukewarm but the heater works fine?
I changed the magnetic clutch relay fuse and no luck yet
@@mendoblendo321 if your heater is working, atleast you know you're not over heating the engine. Everytime I've had a vehicle that overheats, the "hot" air blows through the vents as a room temp almost. I would just try topping off your ac system with one of those parts store canisters first. If that doesn't work, do the full vacuum and charge at a shop .. usually around 100-150$. Check your lines for leaks, or the shop can do that for you. As long as you have a strong current coming through your vents you don't have to worry about the blower motor or resistor. AC being lukewarm and heater working fine is a typical low freon issue.
@tonysautoworksoffroad223 I appreciate the information. Yeah the air blows hard and works fine on each setting just not cold as it usually is. You have had good successes using the freon cannister from somewhere like O'Reilly? I've been told using those could mess up my AC system due to not knowing the pressure? Any detailed tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Its a 2005 with 280k miles and I've had jt since 2019 and never messed with the freon so maybe it's time to replace
@@mendoblendo321 yes, if you don't pay close attention to what you're doing with one of them canisters it can cause issues. If you have the funds, I would recommend just having a local shop do the 100$ service of where the vacuum everything from the AC system, then use the same machine to fill from completely empty, all the freon the vehicle needs according to manufacturer stats. Also, the machine adds a conditioner with the freon to increase the longevity or your ac system. The canisters from O'Reily's won't do that. I see the canisters as a very short term bandaid. If you go with a parts store canister, I'd recommend looking up information on yours specifically to make sure it's done correctly.
Replace? If you mean the compressor, lines and condensor... Maybe. But that's a BIG bill, even when replacing it yourself. I'd have a shop do the 100-150$ service first.
