Nathan was abducted right, so it means that whoever abducted him would have abducted Nathan whenever they got the chance, because when Nathan was rescued, Dan was taking a huge list of names of his possible enemies. So basically, Nathan would have been a target for a long time for them to actually kidnap him when they found him in Europe. Plus Clay was probably going to mess up Nathan's career if he did go.
It wasn’t Clay’s fault that he had a sleeping disorder because of a Fugue State. His plan to handcuff himself to the bed at Night was a TERRIBLE idea. Something Quinn, Nathan, and Haley agreed on. Nathan got kidnapped b/c of the people Dan made enemies with. He was a moving target and they would have kidnapped Nathan eventually. They just found him in Europe.
